About the property

Family friendly, playroom, pool, spa, centrally located, safe neighborhood

#Your licensed family friendly Disneyland pool home is 4 bd and 2 bath and has an open and spacious floor plan, Lots of room for grandma and grandpa and a wonderful playroom for the kids!! There is a beautiful, tropical yard with a pool and spa, shaded patio with lots of outdoor seating for relaxing and making memories with your family. There is a great outdoor BBQ under a Hawaiian Palapa. There is also a grassy area with room for the kids to play. Get up early and have your coffee in the backyard area. I call it paradise. Enjoy all the plush landscaping and watch the humming birds...or just listen to the quiet before you start your day. The house has everything you will need, just bring your toothbrush and clothes! Honestly, it has everything! Situated on a quiet, tree lined and very safe cul-de-sac street that ends at Stoddard Park, you can live the California lifestyle and enjoy your vacation in this pride of ownership, friendly neighborhood. Hang out on the patio at night with the twinkly lights and crickets chirping and you will know why everyone wants to return to this house. . You can view the Disney fireworks at night from the front yard or walk to the park down the street. but you can definitely still hear them every night at 9:25!!!

The large dining room table can seat 12 or more, and looks out over the yard and pool. There's a little seating area by the dining room. The livingroom has a 3 comfortable couches(2 with sleepers) and a chair with ottoman. There is a large flat screen tv, with cable, DVD/video player, stereo, and wireless internet (many Disney videos CD's,Nintendo 64 and Wii and Xbox)

These areas have oak hardwood flooring with area rugs. There is also a futon in garage for watching videos or playing Xbox.

There are 4 theme decorated, carpeted bedrooms with new comfortable mattresses. Wall mounted flat screen tvs with remotes, Ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms, I took the ceiling fans out of rooms with bunk beds so there is no chance of kids in top bunk bed being hit by accident. The master bedroom has its own bath with shower and new king size bed with french doors that open to the spa and patio area. Very private.

The 2nd bedroom has a queen and single bed.

The third has a bunkbed and a posterpedic full bed.

The fourth bedroom has a bunk bed and a double bed .

There are lots of kid size sleeping bags as well in case the little ones want to have a pretend sleepover or just want to sleep in the same bedroom.

There is a crib and 3 pack and plays that are available for the babies. There are highchairs, booster seats and strollers (both double and singles, and umbrella) and many, many toys and dress up clothes and fun things to keep your kids busy and happy and to take care of your childcare needs. (even a baby monitor, so you can be in the yard while your baby naps.)

People coming to Disneyland usually bring their kids, so to keep the kids happy and busy, I have made my house very kid friendly! As soon as kids walk in the door and see the colorful home with all the Mickeys, they get so excited. One mom said her child asked if the house was Disneyland!! Lol. Then when they see the playroom with all the dress up clothes and toys, they are in their element. Every single family that has ever stayed in my home has commented on how much their kids loved the playroom!!

Past tenants have highly praised how 'kid friendly' this home is. Some moms have said the kids were having so much fun they didn't want to go to Disneyland! Some moms have said that the kids wanted to leave Disneyland and 'go home'. When it is time to leave the park, just tell them they can go home and play and there will be no tears. I have 4 kids myself and I know if they have things to do and can keep themselves busy, I get to have a vacation too! I raised my children in this wonderful house and there is alot of love and caring that goes into my home. I am one of the original vacation rental owners, I've been renting since 2004 and have learned what my guests need and want on their vacation. I live right in the next city over, so you won't have to deal with a property manager, I am always available and live close. My phone is always on to answer any questions or solve any problems that might come up.(I live in Fullerton, city right above Anaheim). I truly want you to have an amazing vacation and take many happy memories home with you!! My guests love staying at Anaheim's family Mouse house and many are repeat guests coming for 3 to 4 years in a row.

If you read the guest comments you will get more of a feel for my special Mickey Mouse house!

The kitchen is completely furnished with a skylight and dinette set and all the amenities you could possibly need. Both bathrooms have showers, (one has a bathtub) They both have blow dryers and curling irons and hot rollers. Read the comments guests have left about the house!

There is a shopping center within walking distance that has a Food4Less grocery store, a CVS pharmacy, Big Lots store, also a great 98 cent store that has anything you may have forgotten and alot of small Disney things, pencil cases, pens and pencils, stickers, books, it changes all the time, take a look!) Bank of America, many restuarants and fast food places,. Costco is about a 10 minute drive, and other grocery stores are close as well.

Disney Ice Skating rink (official training facility of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim), Universal Studios, Getty Museum, Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Long Beach Pike Including the Aquarium of the Pacific, Los Angeles Dodges Stadium, Arrowhead Pond, Knott's Berry Farm, Anaheim Convention Center, Big Bear lake resort area, Catalina Island, San Diego, Balboa Island are all close.

There are beaches close by(Huntington, Newport and Seal beach) and if you come in the right season, you can ski in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoon! (The mountains are close, too) California is great! The house is centrally located close to all the freeways, and the house has many maps, Thomas Guides and information. I live locally and would be available to give you directions or suggestions, or whatever you need! It will be a vacation you'll never forget! Please come and make some magical memories with your family!

About Wyndie Martins

Hi! My name is Wyndie Martins and I grew up in Trenton, New Jersey...and...yes, I'm a jersey girl! :-) I came to California in 1978 to enjoy the beautiful weather and of course, become a movie star...that didn't happen but I never left California. Lol . I love California! I've lived in Burbank, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and then got married, had 4 wonderful kids and bought a house in Anaheim..right down the street from Disneyland. We had annual passes to Disney every year. My kids grew up in this home and and we only moved to be closer to their school and give my twins their own bedrooms. When my ex left, I turned the house into a vacation rental, There were only 5 vacation rental homes in Anaheim at that time. I didn't really know what I was doing but by the grace of God, this home has provided for my family since 2004. I've been honored to share my home with the most wonderful families from all over the world. It is loving called the Mickey Mouse house! Mostly because I've been collecting Mickey Mouse items for a long time and now I have some place to display them so they can be appreciated by all. The back yard is a tropical oasis. I tell my guests to have their kids try to count all the mickeys in the house!! Making the extra effort to directly contact the owner of a VR will always save you money. I am very happy and excited to help my guests plan their special vacations! I have been known to figure out many things and what I don't know, I will do my best to find out. I have also become a Real Estate agent for TNG Realty in Fullerton and also a Notary Public for the State of California. Please enjoy your stay in Anaheim at Mickeys Family Mouse House.

Wyndie Martins purchased this house in 1985

Why Wyndie Martins chose Southwest Anaheim

I moved to Anaheim in 1985. It was so exciting to see the fireworks every night being so close to Disney. I love Disneyland and Mickey Mouse! (when you get to the house, you will notice that fact! Lots of Mickeys everywhere!) The house is very spacious and opens to the back yard which is a wonderful space! the pool and yard are my favorite spots. Lots of Palm trees and plants, it's like a tropical paradise. The garage is right off the kitchen, it's now the playroom, so you can cook and watch your little ones. It is a very well laid out home. I love my little neighborhood, it is an older, established neighborhood, where everyone knows eveyone else and takes care of each other. It is on a quiet, tree lined street and dead ends at Stoddard Park. It is great! My neighbors will help you if you need something. They are so kind and love my guests as well. A few years ago, I had a family from Australia visiting. The dad was looking out of my kitchen window, which is in the front of the house so looks out front, and he saw my neighbors dad sitting outside enjoying the sunlight. Suddently the dad fell out of the chair onto the ground! My guest waited for him to get up but he didn't! My guest from Australia ran over to the house, pounded on the door and the daughter came out and she called the parametics and her dad was taken to the hospital. He had had a heart attack. Making a long story short, my neighbors and my guests became great friends and have corresponded for years. Last year my neighbors went to Australia to visit my guests. How is that for an amazing neighborhood story? and it is true. The neighborhood is a little hidden treasure, Yet, right around the corner, there is grocery store and restaurants and other stores all within walking distance. Freeways are close and it is convenient to get everywhere! You and your family will love making memories while staying at my tropical mouse house.

What makes this house unique

My home is one of the original, owner owned and managed Disneyland vacation rentals.(since 2004) When rentals were owners sharing their homes with guests who end up as friends. I have 4 kids and know that having fun things to keep them busy and happy makes for a happy vacation for all.A lot of vacation homes here in Anaheim are owned by investors owning 15 to 30 homes each. Their homes are very much set up like a hotel. Since I only have one home, I can offer a personal touch for my guests and be available for any questions or issues you might have 24/7. One time a family from England came to stay and arrived by shuttle. I met them and they and needed to rent a car. The car rental place was not far away but after that long flight, I didn't want them to have to walk so I took them to the car rental place and waited to make sure they were all taken care of. I love to be there for them or if you want to be left alone, I will respect that as well. Sometimes it can be overwhelming for guests to arrive to a new place and not know where to go or how to get there. I want my guests to know they have a friend in me here and I will help any way I can if they want it. I treat my guests as if they are my family. The house is in a great, safe neighborhood but it is close and convenient to everything. The backyard is the best! You will love it! It's peaceful in the morning with all the tropical plants and very private, and when you get home after a long day at the park, it's a wonderful place to relax. You can lounge and watch the kids play and swim (there are lots of life vests, floaties and pool toys) someone can get the gas BBQ going and grill a great dinner and just enjoy! In the evening after the kids go to bed, you can sit in the spa with a glass of wine or play cards or a board game on the table. It really is a special place. It's one of those places you'll think about when you are told to go to your happy place. You'll be back in my yard in your mind!

Guestbook comments from the manager

A journal update on the happenings in LA waiting for the Biggest Loser finale on Tuesday night.

Rosie and I landed in LA on Friday morning the 31st. We were the first to arrive so we just checked into a hotel to rest, recuperate and in general get ready for the weeks activities and for all the rest of the entourage to arrive. Ash and Brian arrived first on Saturday morning. Then Scott and Lindsey arrived later that afternoon. Billy, Linda, Jerry and Alexis got here on Saturday also. Melissa and the girls got here late Saturday evening with several other of David's friends and supporters arriving Sunday and Monday. Altogether there will be about 50 David supporters in the audience for the live show Tuesday.

David got a reprieve from his sequester and has been allowed to visit and play with the whole family and friends since Saturday night. He has his wrangler/guardian with him and he follows us every where we go to keep others away from us. It is great to see him and see the success he has had during the 90 days between the triathlon episode and today. He looks like he has met his final weight goal of 50% weight loss from his original 409 lbs. Probably will weigh in around 210 on Tuesday. Hope that will be enough to beat Rachel and Bobby but I must say it looks like a toss up between Rachel and Dave.

Saturday night the whole family (plus Dave and handler) went out to dinner together and had a blast. Ate at a Japanese Hibachi place and we all pigged out around the grill table. David had a salad. His handler had about 5 martinis and look like he needed every one of them. Seems to be a lot of stress on these caretakers making sure no paparazzi or outside fans get close enough to take pics or videos.

Sunday was Rosie to mass early followed by a huge superbowl watch party, swimming, hot tubing and just general family time. Rosie and I had rented a private home in Anaheim from a fantastic land lady/hostess with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, heated pool and hot tub, fully landscaped backyard with a South seas thatched roof, wet bar fully equipped with large BBQ grill, ice box, music system and plenty of libations. Had about 20 people here including all the family members with Dave and the ever present handler. Cooked brats, burgers, and dogs while everybody swam and watched Denver get the s--t kicked out of them. Wrapped up fairly early around 11 when the wrangler called curfew on Dave who left to go back to their secret hotel up in Hollywood.

We sure enjoyed the conveinience and coziness of your Mouse House. It's in such a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, that you'd never guess it's so close to EVERYTHING! There was plenty of room for the 11 of us to live and play. The kids were happy that we took days off to just enjoy the pool and toys. Sometimes the amount of things like books, magazines and toys was overwhelming, but whenever we needed something, it was findable! We were grateful for the strollers on long days at Disneyland. Thank you for the "personal" different from staying in a crowded hotel. We would recommend it to others. Thanks again!

Just like home....

  • 5 of 5

I can’t say enough good things about this house. It was perfect for our family of five (3 kids ages 9, 7, 6) and a pair of grandparents. We went to Disneyland 3 days and everyday the kids were excited to leave Disneyland to get back to the house. This house is comfortable and stocked with lots of toys, dress up clothes, and the outdoor setting is perfect for hours of entertainment and eating. The house is older, lived in and you can feel the love in the walls. The beds and couches are comfortable. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The only thing I could suggest or inform other potential guests about is that there is only one room with a big bed (a king bed for a couple). It would have been nice to have one more room suitable for just a couple. My in laws stayed in the room with a full size bed and twin bed so they had to sleep in separate beds to be comfortable. Other than that, if you have lots of kids I have never stayed in a better house for a large family. I would absolutely stay here again and Wyndie reminded us just how special good customer service is. Memories were made and our California Trip couldn’t have been better thanks to Wyndie and her lovely house.

Enjoyed the Mickey House. The Grandkids loved all the Disney decorations.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was older but well maintained and clean. Our only complaint was the small toilets. These need to be upgraded. Nice stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while visiting Disneyland etc.

Great Place to stay with lots of kids

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mickey Mouse House. Wyndie is absolutely amazing to deal with. It is a great place to stay if you have lots of kids. We had 4 adults and 10 kids in our group and we had plenty of room in this house. It is a kid friendly house and the pool and hot tub was very delightful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is not within walking distance of the park.

Cozy, quiet, comfortable house!

This is a clean, cozy, quiet house in a beautiful tree lined neighborhood. The house is full of Mickey, but also full of comfortable couches, lounges, poolside lounges and the hot tub.

It's also ready for any occasion, weather it's raining, snowing or flooding this house is prepared with raincoats, extra comforters, extra towels, toy, costumes the works.

The owner is super nice and helpful ready to make our stay even better.

Thanks, you'll see us again.

We had such a great stay at your beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood with very few cars passing by. It was clean and well kept. The best part was all of the fun things they had available-- hot tub, swimming pool, a barbeque island with a cover, pool tablen etc. And for the kids they had tons of toys and dress up cloths. We had a lot of fun during our stay. We definitely recommend this house!
