About the property

2 Bedrooms & Loft Queen, 2 Full Baths, Sleeps 6

Comforts of home away from your daily routines. Easy day trips in all directions to fun destinations for kids and adults. In your front yard you have a quiet park with a baseball field, a basketball court, swings, a jungle gym and a picnic area for family activities. The seashore is just steps away for swimming, crabbing and searching for vacation treasures. The very decent 9 hole golf course up the road can give you your fix without committing the whole day. It's Maine. Have fun, enjoy the pace and the clean air.

House description: This house, while fully modernize and updated, maintains its Downeast charm. It has an open floor plan for the kitchen, Dinning and Den with cathedral ceilings. The Laundry room, downstairs bathroom and loft are all part of this area. A separate living room is in the middle of the house before you reach the first bedroom with the twin beds. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a separate bath. All rooms have an ocean view except the downstairs bedroom and bath and even those get a peak. Overlooking Mosman Park and the Ocean;you wake most mornings to a postcard of Maine. The convenient deck faces out upon the garden and gives you views of Castine and Penobscot Bay's other islands while you sip your morning coffee or enjoy a meal.

Spacious home in amazing location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this home. My 6 year old wanted to stay for a decade, largely because of the proximity to the playground, park, and ocean. We were able to walk downtown to enjoy delicious fresh food at the Coastal Cafe, and spend an afternoon with the kids engaged at the Penobscot Marine Museum. We also were able to take a day trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Stephen made sure to walk us through all the home's amenities- kids loved the Netflix, marbles and bingo. We were also able to host my parents who live in town for a lobster dinner from Young's in Belfast and an impromptu barbecue on the grill.

Everything worked wonderfully and our family of 4 loved having more space than we do at home while we relaxed for the week. Thanks for a lovely week!
