I loved visiting Steamboat Springs so much after purchasing a condo at the Pines at Orehouse, that I decided to become a year round resident! So I can not only provide input towards the little things you wonder about . . . such as the best restaurants in town, but I can also give you a locals perspective on all the best places to fish, mountain bike, snowshoe, find the leftover powder stashes and all the other activities that keep people coming back to our Mountain town. Most importantly, you will also have someone locally to count on (phone or face to face) to ensure your vacation runs smoothly for you and your family!
Brad Luth purchased this townhome in 2006
There are many lodging options to choose from in Steamboat, but few complexes were built with the care and quality workmanship that exists at The Cross Timbers. Steamboat is a great little mountain town with friendly locals and lots of small town charm!
Convenient to everything in Steamboat! When staying at CrossTimbers you can either walk, ride your bike or take the FREE shuttle anywhere in town. The Ski resort is just 2 blocks down the road or you can take the private shuttle as well. With the on site Pool, hot tubs and tennis courts the whol family can stay entertained.
Brad, The condo was great! It fit our family perfectly and exceeded our expectations. Thanks. Hal
This was our second year staying at a Cross Timbers condo unit, and first time through Brad. The unit was great... spacious, clean, and relatively well stocked. The location and availability of the free shuttle - even in the evening to travel to town - is a great amenity. Facilities at Cross Timbers are very nice, though the hot tub was not working properly this year, which was disappointing. The kitchen could use some updating on pots, pans, and food storage (Tupperware, etc. for leftovers). The very large dining room table was much appreciated. Rooms were great and the layout of beds and bathrooms worked well also. Brad was available when we had questions. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Great location, roomy, clean. Very convenient to everything- shuttle service a real plus! Perfect for a family or several couples!
Great house in great location. Lots of space for hanging out with the group and plenty of sleep space. The bunk room is a bit tight, but that's for the kids anyway. The shuttle service is fantastic and very quick. Can easily walk to the mountain base is you don't want to wait 5 min for the shuttle. Kitchen is fully equipped. The sauna, pool and hot tub are a quick 50 step walk across the driveway...yes, I counted.
We enjoyed a lovely visit with 5 teenage children, plenty of room for all. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the large table and later enjoyed the downtown area. The next day we went to the hot-springs. It was a beautiful, and relaxing time.
This is a lovely town home that is spacious and comfortable. There are tons of windows that let you enjoy the plentiful Colorado sunshine. The master suite on the top floor is expansive. The bedroom on the main floor and the bunk bed room are a bit tight on space, but the spaciousness of the rest of the home makes up for it. The kitchen is big and stocked with plenty of dishes and silverware. We like to cook, and found it a bit thin on basic equipment like a large pot, chef's knife, measuring cups and spoons. (Although there are two microwaves, two toasters, and plenty of luxury appliances like a blender.) One call to Brad and he came by in less than an hour with the things we needed. Now that's customer service! We also enjoyed the pool and rarely had to wait more than 3 minutes for shuttle service to the mountain base. We highly recommend this property!
This condo was excellent! It was well equipped (dishes, utensils, etc.). We had 2 families totaling 4 adults and 5 kids. We had ample room. The bunk room and twin beds room the ground floor was perfect for the kids. The two adult couples each had their own bathroom which was great. There is even a bonus powder room off of the living room so people don't have to go into the main floor bedroom's bathroom. The main floor bedroom and en suite bathroom is tight in space but the bed was super comfy. I highly recommend this condo. It was very clean and nicely decorated.
