Great stay in Vieux Quebec
Our group enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The apartment is very modern and in great condition - appliances and furniture appear new. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Its location is very convenient - only a few minutes walk from Rue de Saint-Jean and also the market where you can find all sorts of local specialities, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Bénédicte was a great hostess, very warm and friendly. We would definitely consider staying here again!
side note: The owner of the apartment also runs a nearby café that has EXCELLENT coffee that is only a few minutes walk away.
C’est appartement était très moderne et a un endroit très convenable. Les lits étaient confortables, et nous avons bien dormi. Le café du proprietaire n’est pas loin, et leur café au lait est superbe.
A great place for exploring old Quebec City!
What a great property! The apartment is spotless with nice, comfortable furnishings and high end appliances. The location couldn't have been better for exploring old Quebec City. We were able to walk everywhere. We took advantage of the farmers market across the street to buy our breakfast supplies of the week. There are many great restaurants within walking distance. On Benedicte's suggestion, we tried Buffet de l'Antiquaire and ended up eating there several times. We enjoyed our stay at La Cite-Limollou tremendously!
Great Mini Vacation!!
We are a family of four. My husband and I, our children, 8 and 10 enjoyed our stay in Old Quebec. We were very pleased with the accommodations. Very clean and well maintained. I loved that the kitchen had all the appliances, minus a microwave which we didn't really need. Genevieve, thank you for the coffee and tea!! The washer and dryer came in handy. The apartment was in walking distance to all shops, restaurants and attractions. I loved that there was a Farmer's Market right across the street. Great for picking up last minute groceries. The only inconvenience is that there was only one bathroom with shower. Could be an issue if more than 4 people stay. Upon our arrival, we met Benedicte, our host, at the apartment. She was very pleasant and provided us with her number in case we had any further question or concerns. I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends and family.
Good location, apartment just OK.
Quirky apartment - with some problems. One double bed located on first floor, other 2 bedrooms located in 2nd floor, kitchen and living on 3rd floor. Keep this in mind if you have small children. Our family of four stayed here for 5 nights in July. Location was very nice as we could walk almost anywhere with ease.
Pros - location, cleanliness, decent sheets, kitchen and living area quite nice
Cons - On a very busy street, next to a VERY busy and loud bus stop. I was a bit concerned with security with so many people out in front of the apartment and could see straight into the first floor (there are no window coverings) which left me uncomfortable. Especially since one of the bedrooms used by my 11 year old was on the first floor, by herself. Washer and dryer was broken so that was hugely inconvenient for us. Parking space is small - we had a large SUV and had trouble getting it into the space and it was sticking out onto the sidewalk. Noisy - bring earplugs to sleep with! Bring soap, and essentials. We were provided 1 cleaning tab for the dishwasher and hardly any dish soap. We had to go out and buy kitchen supplies and toilet paper. It's those little things that are irritating when you are on vacation.....
I want to clarify something. As soon as you’ve arrived, you were not satisfied with barely any of the features of the apartment. We decided to offer you a discount of 150$ because the washing machine was broken. However, you were still not satisfied: the parking lot was too small for large SUV although there was a private paying car park right in front of the apartment, there was also no alarm system in the apartment (but no mention of it were never made) and you though that was unacceptable…As we were unable to respond to all your requests, we’ve offered you a full refund of the rental fees. You’ve declined the offer and decided to take the 150$ discount…
PS: The apartment is not located on a busy street, but it is still in the Old Quebec and the bus is non-operational during the night.
Couldn't have been better!
What a nice place! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is quite new and contemporary and comfortable. We were a family of four including two teenagers who each got their own room. Kitchen and living room were very nice. Our host Benedicte could not have been more pleasant or helpful. She met us at the place, showed us everything and gave us good advice. When we had trouble with the cable/internet she came over on a Sunday evening and worked on it with the cable company for several hours to get it fixed! With two teenagers you can imagine our relief at getting the cable and internet working. The apartment is right in the old city on the lower part. It is about a 100 yard walk to the farmer's market which is open every day. AND the big bonus, a covered, reserved parking spot right by the front door! Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the place is fairly expensive. However, I would definitely return.
Perfect place to stay
Very clean and tons of room for our family of five. The host met us and gave us a few recommendations of things to do in the area. She also left us some wonderful coffee, tea and croissants for our breakfast. Perfect location, right at the bottom of a small hill that takes you right up to the old city.
There was a slight problem with the washing machine, which she took care of right away and offered to reimburse us if we needed to use a laundromat.
I would highly recommend
