Lofty wooden rafters, a marble tiled bathroom and tasteful artwork give the rooms a distinctly Florentine feel. When you step out you'll be in your element. You can take in Michelangelo’s David, shop along the Ponte Vecchio or just relax in a cafe and watch the world go by.
Benvenuti to the historical centre of Florence! The Duomo is named for its Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral. You’ll also find one of the world's biggest art collections in the area.
So where to begin?! Start at the cathedral, where you’ll find Brunelleschi's Dome and city views that will rival the impressive art. From here you’re just a stroll away to the Uffizi gallery, Palazzo Medici and the Galleria dell'Academia, with Michelangelo's David, is nearby in San Marco. Mamma mia, so much to see!
Excellent location. Fantastic view from sitting room. Comfortable and quiet. There was a kettle provided but no working connection? The stairs could be off putting for young families, or infirm. 3rd floor no lift.
Classic Duomo was a fantastic apartment to stay in, within walking distance to all the major attractions. The view was amazing and the apartment was large enough for a family of four. Tomaso's recommendation for a restaurant was spot on - D'Giovanni's it was amazing. Internet was hot and cold and there were lots of stairs to the apartment, but once there it was amazing.
