If you’re after a little bit of relaxation, we think you’ll like this comfy apartment. It’s just out of the city centre, but within walking distance to all the sights (faster still if you hop on the U-Bahn). The views from the apartment are great too, overlooking a park. You’ll get a real sense of tranquility. So take it easy. And unwind.
You are never far from water in central Brigittenau. Bordered by the canal on one side and the Danube on the other, you’ll find plenty of land-locked cafes and shops in-between too.
Multicultural Brigittenau boasts the Millennium Tower, Vienna’s only skyscraper. But there’s more to feel smug about in this central hood. For starters, you’ll be paying local (not tourist) prices in cafes and bars, and be able to end your day with a walk along the water. You can start smirking now.
We loved our time in this apartment. We arrived early in the day and Perrine was there to greet us at the door and kindly let us drop off our bags since we were there before check in. That was very generous of her. She is a lovely lady who helped us out immensely with letting us know where to catch the UBahn, where the local grocery stores were and checked in with us during our stay to let us know about a local holiday we were not aware of and that the markets would be closed. She really took care of us.
The apartment is wonderful. It is in a great location, across the street from a wonderful park that we took pleasure in. It is close enough to walk to all major sites, the canal and of course close to public transportation. We simply loved the neighbourhood we were in. It was a great experience and I will certainly suggest staying here to anyone we talk to.
Apartment was light, bright and spacious with fantastic outlook over the park. Perfectly comfortable with a well appointed kitchen with the basic essentials if you wanted to stay in. Was very clean and warm. Convenient to transport, bakery and supermarket. Lovely park and canal walks at your door step. Perrine very friendly & helpful.
Appartment was clean and well presented with lots of helpful small touches that make a stay easy. Fans were provided which was great as the weather was warm. There were plenty of powerpoints and other helpful bits. The view along and street and across to the park were wonderful. Was on a fairly quiet street but still well located for basic needs as well as various public transport links. Toilet is separate which is good but it's effectively in a small cupboard. Could be akward for elderly or with small children.
For a mature couple it was large, light and airy, and very appealing. Initially as we were being driven there by taxi from the train station we wondered where we were going, but by the light of day we were opposite a park, and it was only a 5 minute walk to the train station. Two stops and we were in the centre of Vienna.
