This property boasts one of the prettiest views in Chatham. It is located on Pleasant Bay and faces east towards the new break. Immaculately maintained, this beach front property is set on an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds in North Chatham. It is close to Eastward Ho!, the Chatham Yacht Club, the Wequasett Inn and only a four mile drive to downtown Chatham. The house has the best of two worlds: the main house was built in the 1700's so it is steeped in New England charm but it also has the modern amenities that we are accustom to like a modern kitchen, central air and a master suite. Thank you for your interest but unfortunately we do not allow weddings or events on our property.
This property is very unique. The main house was originally built in Exeter, New Hampshire in 1787. In 1937, it was put up for auction and Thomas Haley, a local builder in Chatham at the time, purchased it for $25. Tom Haley owned Chatham Woodworking and built many fine homes in Chatham using old barn wood and mouldings from old homes. He disassembled this house, brought it down to Chatham and rebuilt it in it's current location around 1940. The house has been in the family over 65 years!
