The view and location makes this property a unique place to vacation. There is room outdoors for games and grilling on the BBQ; the indoors is comfortable and spacious. A boat launch is not too far and a buoy in front of the house is available to use (be mindful of the low-tides).
The beach house built in 1964 and the built-in 1960's Thermador stove is unique and fully functional. The house has a summer cabin and comfy feel to it and has been maintained in its original form with a few modern updates. One bedroom has a Queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. 2 full bathrooms (showers only) will accommodate 6 people and a maximum of 8. The living room has a stereo/TV/DVD/CD and the queen bedroom has a flat screen tv also. There is cable and Wi-Fi. Stroll down the country road for a relaxing walk or bicycling. A quaint country store is one mile away with groceries, espressos, deli bar, and gas. There are a variety of restaurants and stores to explore in the Gig Harbor area.
Rate is for 6 people-- $25 extra per person/per night with a maximum of 8 people.
WE TAKE LONG TERM RENTALS - cleaning is $200 and a Property Protection Fee + $500 refundable deposit.

This is a spacious, very comfortable house in a dramatic setting -- surrounded by tall Douglas fir trees and an arm of Puget Sound. The best thing about it, however, is its accessibility to everything that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. It's within easy driving distance of two of the nation's most spectacularly beautiful national parks -- Mount Rainier and Olympic. The mountain views and old growth forests alone are worth a stay here. The Sound is calm and picturesque, but open-ocean beaches on the Olympic Peninsula are relative close if you want to see pounding surf and wide sandy beaches. Gig Harbor itself is a cute village with an active fishing fleet, boat rentals, great views of Rainier and numerous restaurants. Nearby Tacoma is an underrated city with several good museums, seafood restaurants and Hello Cupcake, our favorite bakery. Seattle is also a convenient drive...it's the kind of vibrant city that has the best of everything in its region, including the best baguettes, seafood, pastry and produce at the public market. Seattle is a one-hour drive up the I-5, but we found it more relaxing to take the shorter trip north on Highway 16 to Southworth and then catch the ferry to West Seattle. We stayed there for several months and found everything we needed for longer-term housekeeping, including an adequately equipped kitchen. Owners Lynette and Steve were personable and helpful. In short, this is a great place for a weekend stay or longer.
Great location! Beautiful view and beach access. Adequate kitchen but needed supplemental items for cooking i.e. Serving pieces. TV and Dvr a bitconfusing and audio went in and out. House clean and lighting was good. If sunny could use shades for windows indining and living room.
As usual, we found this venue to be the perfect Puget Sound getaway. We've stayed at the house three times and never had a single complaint. The location is spectacular. The house is the perfect beach house. It's comfortable but rugged so adults and kids alike can relax and not worry too much about sand on their feet. There are plenty of beds for big families like ours. Gig Harbor shops and restaurants are just minutes away. The owners are next door for emergencies but leave everyone in peace. An addition this time was good Wifi -- a mixed blessing. I used to have to go to the Rosedale Market to check email. Most people will like this upgrade but I was ambivalent. It's nice to be unplugged on vacation. But this isn't a criticism. As I said: this venue is the perfect Puget Sound beach getaway!
The setting is a spectacular waterfront property. The lawn and woods are beautiful. The house itself has a nice layout with views from the family-kitchen-dining area. The house itself is functional, but it has a lot of deferred maintenance.
This beach house was perfect for our family of 6. The location is stunning, far enough from town to feel away from it all but not to far to run into town for supplies. The house is very comfortable and the view from the tall Windows is spectacular. All of the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The only challenge was trying to cook with the 50's era oven and stove, we had planned on cooking all of our meals at the house and that was tricky. The BBQ was great though and the outdoor furniture was perfect for eating outdoors. The fire pit on the beach was another great gathering spot in the evenings, beautiful!
This is a comfortable two bedroom home. The entire front of the home is glass with spectacular view of the beach area and water. The patio and yard are great for entertaining and relaxing. The living area is open concept. The kitchen is well equipped but dated. The Master has a queen sized bed and the other bedroom has two bunks with queen bottoms and single tops. The owner was responsive to the few questions that we had during our visit. The four of us were comfortable and enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely consider coming back.
