Beauvezer: Tourist information
Nestled in the center of the Haut Verdon valley between Allos and Saint André-les-Alpes, Beauvezer is a village of 226 inhabitants located at 1175 meters above sea level. Beauvezer enjoys a magnificent natural environment which gives it the nickname 'Perle du Verdon'. This pretty village of Provence is surrounded by mountains and the ridge line that leads to 3051 meters at Mont Pelat.
The village was formerly known for the manufacture of its wool by the women of the village who thus answered the needs of the premises before becoming a flourishing activity being sold throughout the low Provence. In 1925, Beauvezer was recognized as a climatic station by the medical academy, which promoted the development of tourism. Today, artisans welcome visitors during the weekends and every day during the school holidays at the Maison de Produits de Haut-Verdon in Beauvezer to discover local products (honey, cheese, genépi, jam, And local crafts (wool, candle, planter). During the family walks, discover the greener pastures where the flora unfolds in all colors. Several hiking trails will take you through the Verdon. You will take sometimes steep footpaths but the reward will be great when you reach the panorama which gives on the mountain of Chamatte, on the summits of the valley of Hunting and on the massif of Pelat in the north. The park of acrobranche will entertain large and small through sporting and sensational adventures between 4 and 11 meters of the ground.
