Located on the serene street, rue de Thorigny, the apartment was laid out and designed with meticulous attention to every detail. We have incorporated custom furnishings, antiques and original art. Traditional floor to ceiling windows overlook the street flooding the living and dining areas with light. The bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment and have windows for excellent cross-ventilation. Each bedroom has built-in closets, high quality linens and mattresses and its own bathroom.
Here is what our first tenant said. “Let me say that the apartment is absolutely wonderful, and I will tell the world about it, believe me! It was just so comfortable, and aesthetically just perfect down to the last detail – you have great taste!”
WIFI & LANDLINES:
There is high speed wifi, free local calls within France, free calls to cell phones and landlines to the US and Canada, and free calls to landlines in over 200 other countries (please inquire about your particular country).
Excellent access to the metro. St. Sebastien Froissart is the closest metro stop - about a 5-minute walk. Bus service is excellent as well.
Our location is extraordinary with great restaurants, art galleries and fashionable shops at your doorstep. There are narrow streets that have not changed for centuries. You will be 1 block from the Picasso Museum, an easy walk to Place des Vosges, the Musee Carnavalet and the Pompidou Center. It is an easy stroll to Notre Dame and the Left Bank. Rue de Bretagne, famous for its food purveyors and its historic covered market “Enfants Rouges” is a few short blocks away.
In our continual efforts to make your stay as enjoyable and convenient as possible, we are happy to offer our guests our SMARTY phone, which will become your new Parisian best friend!!! Avoid high roaming data costs and enjoy all that technology has to offer-- 4G, unlimited calls (including abroad), and GPS services to make walking around in Paris easier-- all for the rate of 5 euros a day, essentially the cost of a fancy Parisian coffee :) Please let us know upon booking that you are interested so we can reserve a SMARTY for your stay.
We love the Marais and really wanted to invest in a neighborhood that we love walking around! We hope you will like it as much as we do!
7 adults. We rented the adjoining apartment. The staff is top knotch from beginning to end. They continued to offer help, if needed, even while we were there. Milk and madeleines offered. It's a lovely apartment in a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit on foot. The linens were very luxe and comfortable as were the beds. Others have complained about the complicated key system but we had no problems. Just watch the video they send. There are many helpful guidebooks. We reserved a SmartPhone but never received it but got along fine without it. The bathroom in the adjoining apartment was tiny. The way the sink was situated with the cabinet made it difficult to brush your teeth because you couldn't get your head into the basin. It was an odd setup. We used the sink in the kitchen instead. The most upsetting thing about this apartment was the smell. We all were trying to pinpoint it's exact location and origin. You could smell it throughout all the units but the room that had it the most was the bedroom right off the front door in main unit. My mom and sister had a difficult time sleeping and breathing because it was so strong. They had to throw one of their jackets away because they couldn't get the smell out. When we arrived, there were reed diffusers disepensed throughout each unit. We wondered why and placed them outside the windows on the ledge. Once removed, you could really smell the urine. It was gross. Because of this we will never return or recommend. There is a working lift but the stairs were wide and ample. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Not sure if there was air conditioning or heat but we were there in September and didn't need either.
This is a wonderful roomy apartment nestled in the Le Marais area close to so much to do! We didn't spend much time there because we were so busy sightseeing but when we arrived in the evening, it was a welcomed sight and provided plenty for my husband, me and 2 of our adult children.
Sophie was amazing with communication! She took great care of us making sure we had someone to pick us up at the train station and someone to deliver us to the airport. I would stay here again if ever in Paris!
Everything previous reviewers have said is true! I would love to come here and stay again. Sophie and her staff quickly responded to any questions or concerns. We were 4 women and the 2 bathrooms were convenient. The apt is charming and well appointed, very Parisian. It was well located. In fact, if a taxi driver couldn't understand my bad French, I would just say Picasso Museum and he always knew where to go. We loved Le Marais neighborhood. So many fun, unique little shops and cafes! Many Parisians out walking in the neighborhood. It's very close to the famous Breizh Cafe and Place des Vosges.
The apt is spotless. Although our check out time was at 10am, Sophie let us keep our luggage in the apt until 2pm. The cleaning lady was cleaning away at the stove and refrigerator even though we never used it. It was nice to have our coffee and croissants in the am before going out. So happy to have the coffee creamer and the madelines first morning we were there. Even though we didn't cook meals, nice to have our snacks and wine in the evening. A little boutique wine shop is only 2 blocks away. The kitchen is well stocked if you do want to make a meal. My only suggestion for the second bathroom that is separate from the toilet: a hook for my make up bag or a shelf for our make up and a small trash can in the separate toilet room would be convenient.
Driver pick up included in the price also a big plus.
The location is great in the Center of Le Marais
The apartment is big enough for 6 persons (even if for the 2 persons sleeping in the sofa, the night might be a bit less comfortable, nothing bad though)
Nice touch with some Madeleine and milk available on the kitchen bar.
The driver pick up at your arrival is included in the price and really convenient.
Only minus point: there is a coffee machine, there is coffee, but there was no coffee filter to be found
This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in the 3rd arrondissement near the Picasso Museum was perfect for my husband and me and our traveling companion, a single lady. It was well supplied with nice linens, towels, plenty of coffee, toilet paper, etc., a big fridge, washer/dryer etc. Bed was comfy and the place was very clean and uncluttered. Helpful books and pamphlets are there for your use. It was only on the 2nd floor so an easy walkup but there is an elevator which is nice when dealing with luggage. Most helpful was the management team which sends out a welcome video with instructions on how to manage the locks and all the different appliances. Plus they arranged our (very early morning!) transportation to and from the airport without a hitch. So helpful, quick and thorough. I would highly recommend this apartment.
We loved staying in this apartment. There were two of us who are colleagues and the layout of the apartment was perfect. We each had our own bedroom and bath with a living room and kitchen in-between, which gave us lots of privacy. The apartment is charming, with nice touches like stacks of guidebooks, a notebook full of great recommendations, stylish fixtures and cozy bedding. It's also on a gorgeous street with some of the nicest galleries in the Marais. The service, as other reviewers have said, was impeccable and the video guide essential (the key system is complicated!) Highly recommended.
