My husband has lived in Lincoln City since 1981. He is a Broker at Taylor & Taylor Realty. I have lived in the area since 1988. Together we own Taylor & Taylor Realty Co. We own this home personally. Since we live in the area we are close and here to answer questions our renters may have.
Vickie Regen purchased this house in 2003
Located on the oceanfront with fabulous views overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean. You can enjoy whale watching, rolling waves, pelicans skimming the oceans surface and surfers. Ideal location - it is near the Factory Outlet Mall, restaurants, and Cultural Center too!
A wall of windows across the ocean front. Gas fireplace in the living room plus big screen TV. Large sun deck with built in benches. Beach access near by. Festivals and events to attend throughout the whole year.
We didn't want for anything, except maybe less fog and warmer weather for body boarding, but it didn't stop us. It was a nice surprise to find Adirondack chairs, BBQ (and supplies) and KITES in the garage! Nice little walk to beach access. Absolutely beautiful views from the deck. Saw a whale one night. Clamming a short distance away and plenty of great restaurants nearby. Very quiet location if you seek peace and solitude. Had an amazing time. Would definitely return!
I just had a wonderful weekend at this amazing beach house with my husband, our small dog, and my parents. My parents were visiting from Michigan, and we wanted to give them a taste of the Oregon Coast. This house did not disappoint! The house is high on a bluff with stunning views of the ocean and the soothing sound of waves crashing in the background. Beach access is only a short walk down the hill, and the location is amazing; close enough to highway 101 to get dinner, groceries, and browse shops, but far enough to avoid the congestion of tourists. The house is well stocked with everything you need, and the photos don't do it justice. We were incredibly comfortable here - I only wish we could have stayed longer! It wasn't a problem for us, but just a warning - the shower curtain is clear, so you can really only share the bathroom with your significant other. Also, if you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the place for you, as you have to climb a steep set of stairs to enter the house. Other than that, this is the perfect vacation getaway! The owners are very friendly, responsive, helpful, and most importantly, not overbearing. Needless to say, my husband and I will be back. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
My wife and I just returned from our vacation at this home and we had a great time. The view of the coast from the living room and deck is truly amazing and having beach access just down the road was great. The home was clean and comfortable and the owners were very responsive to the few questions we had for them. We would certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet vacation rental with an amazing view.
My boyfriend and I stayed five days at this incredible beach house, what a wonderful respite for us! We were looking for some where for us and our two large, very well behaved dogs, and finally found this gem! It was the perfect size for the two of use, there was a second bedroom we never even entered, the beach view was unbeatable and the amenities just right.
The beach is a six minute stroll down the road, and it was like we had our own private beach for miles even in the summer on the weekend! We couldn't have asked for better. We only went to town once as we have been to Lincoln City before and it was just for a grocery run, we were happy to just stay in the beach house, lounge on the incredible deck, and cook dinner in the well stocked kitchen.
We would return in a heartbeat!
My husband and I live in New York state. Our son recently relocated to Portland, so we wanted to have a weekend beach getaway as a family while visiting him there for the week. I cannot imagine a better introduction to the Oregon coast than what we experienced. The home was perfect, with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. The ocean views from the deck, overlooking a bluff, were just phenomenal. The surrounding neighborhoods provided wonderful walking opportunities, including a fun, short walk to the beach. There is much to do within close driving distance, including wineries, state parks with breathtaking views, an outlet mall and a casino. Nearby stores and restaurants have friendly, helpful staff. We found a wonderful pizza place that delivers! The owners of this property were great to deal with and seemed to really care about our stay. I would highly recommend this property, and we would not hesitate to return.
We had a really lovely stay at this great house on the bluff with unobstructed ocean views. We watched the Gray Whales over breakfast, surfers riding the waves, and we walked the beautiful beach below for hours every day. We have never seen our dogs so happy (or tired!). We were so fortunate to have 65-70 degree weather in mid-October at the coast, and we soaked up every ray of sun possible. We spent lots of time watching the Gray Whales at Boiler Bay, just north of Depoe Bay; they were quite close to the rocks, and there were several at any given time (no Dramamine required).
J's Fish and Chips (just up the street) has fabulous Clam Chowder, and their various types of Fish and Chips are some of the best we have ever had! For a nicer meal, Blackfish Café and Bakery is some of the best food around; make a reservation, especially if you are going for dinner on the weekend. If you are looking for the freshest seafood and reasonable prices for dinner 'at home', go to Barnacle Bill's for Crab, Prawns, Fish, and amazing smoked salmon. Rogue Brewery in Newport has great beer and a nice menu as well; bring your Growler for a fill.
The house was clean, and check-in was a breeze. Vickie was very friendly & helpful throughout the entire booking process. The kitchen was well-stocked (note: the one cookie sheet does not fit in the oven) and they have a charcoal Weber grill (BYO Charcoal, etc.). There is a table and chairs set available for dining outside.
My one gripe is that there wasn't any kind of outdoor lounge furniture for that amazing, sunny deck. It would have really added to the experience to have a couple of nice lounge chairs for reading a book (or napping) to the sound of the pounding surf below. There were two (broken) Adirondack chairs in the garage, and one day during our stay, somebody came in and got them. Fortunately, we were not in the house with our dogs at the time.
All in all, we would stay here again, and would recommend this property for a quiet getaway.
Our home is located in the Southwest area of Lincoln City on the oceanfront. Miles of sandy beach to stroll with shells and agates galore make our location ideal! Nearby is a Factory Outlet center, Lincoln City Cultural Center, local shops, and a plethora of restaurants.
