Recreation enthusiasts love Ogunquit because both land and sea activities abound! You can try deep-sea fishing, relax on the 3 mile beach, find that hidden treasure in one of many antique shops in the area. Spend the day looking for that designer bargain at one of the many outlets in Kittery, bicycle into town and discover a quaint New England seaside community as well as, explore hiking or trail biking nearby at Mount Agamenticus.
Whether it's a romantic retreat, a family escape to the beach or an outdoor adventure, Ogunquit is your premier destination.
My family had such a wonderful stay here. The house is in a perfect, quiet location -- set back from the street and less than a 10-min walk to the heart of town, and about a 15-min walk to the beach and Perkins Cove. The cute property has lovely gardens that attract lots of hummingbirds, which we really enjoyed while having our coffee and breakfast daily in the screened-in porch. The house is VERY clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen has all of the utensils, dishware, and cookware you need to prepare meals, as well as some pantry staples like seasonings. The ceiling fans work very well, but at night you probably won't even need them. Just open the windows and enjoy the cool Maine breeze. We loved our time here and hope to return someday.
My son and I had an excellent time staying in this lovely cottage which, like the garden surrounding it, is in immaculate condition. In close proximity to the beach, the town, and a very short drive away from the spectacular Mount Agamenticus with its stunning views and variety of hiking trails, Vintage Charm is perfectly located.
Our other favourite places to visit were the Rachel Carson reserve just up the road in Wells and the nearby Estuarine Research Reserve, a great nature spot with a short trail that leads to a largely empty beach!
Hope to return someday, one week was not enough!
This rental exceeded all of our expectations! The descriptions provided are entirely accurate. So close to the beach, shops and Marginal Way. The property was extremely neat and clean and we didn't have any problems with this cottage. The owner was extremely informative, providing maps and info about places that we were interested in, such as antique shops. The owner was available by phone during our stay which was comforting. We are four women and we thoroughly enjoyed the "homey' touches throughout and the pictures that were on the walls. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. This cottage is near everything yet very quiet. We shopped, walked, enjoyed a spa, and enjoyed the beach. At the end of the day we relaxed on the porch. Would love to come again.
Our first visit to Oqunquit - we were lucky to have come upon the beautiful home suitably named Vintage Charm! What an amazing spot - great location, short and picturesque walk to beach. Can walk to all restaurants and shops - park your car and enjoy! The beach is one of the most beautiful we have visited (including caribbean and florida etc.); not crowded in the least as there is room for everyone!
The house is located in a very quiet area - tennis courts and hiking close by. It is extremely clean, very well equipped and, although very modern and updated, it is homey and comfortable with rare treasures throughout.
The owner was always reachable for any questions - felt like we had our own personal tour guide. It is apparent that the home owner is truly proud of their home - and rightly so. We can't recommend it enough. Hope to be back : )
This was our second summer staying at Vintage Charm & we absolutely love this house!! The location is excellent, an easy walk to the beach, restaurants & shops. The beach is beautiful!! Big enough to spread out and relax with your favorite book or take the footbridge over to the bay at low tide for some crabbing.
The house is located on a quiet secluded street. NEVER have to worry about noisy neighbors. The inside is very COZY and has a charming porch overlooking beautiful flowers & landscaping. A wonderful place to sit & enjoy a glass of wine in the evening & a cup of coffee in the morning.
ALWAYS clean & the owner is very pleasant & accommodating. We will be back again next year. We CANNOT imagine staying anywhere else! We dream of Vintage Charm all year long! Ogunquit is our favorite place to vacation & we have found the most perfect place to stay!
We enjoyed a wonderful week at Vintage Charm in July. The house had everything we needed and then some. The kitchen is well appointed. The bedrooms are very nice with comfortable beds and it was fantastic to have a washer/dryer. Our three children loved playing in the yard and with all the great games available in the chest in the living room. We really enjoyed the evenings on the screened in porch and the proximity to beaches and shopping is great. I would highly recommend Vintage Charm!
