Our family cabin is host to three generations: grandparents, five grown children plus spouses and eight grandchildren
Amy Ahler Bhola purchased this cabin in 2004
We have vacationed in Pinetop since the 70's, when we owned a small A-frame in the pines. As the family grew to 19 people and 7 dogs, we needed a larger cabin in which to gather. We love the laid-back and friendly attitude of the White Mountains.
Our cabin allows us a place we can all gather and relax, yet not be on top of each other. Our favorite activities are fishing and kayaking on the lake during the summer. The kids love to play tennis and the courts are two doors down. In evenings, we play Scrabble, and Rummikube in the loft or watch family movies with popcorn and surround sound. Sledding and skiing are favorite winter activities but we also love building snow forts in the front yard. The dads like to cook - fortunately the kitchen is well-stocked and large enough to accommodate all of them. Although the cabin is convenient to all that Pinetop has to offer, it really is just a great place to hang out with family and friends!
My family and I went to the Ahler Cabin last year and we had the best family vacation yet! Their home was welcoming and beautifully maintained. The property was spacious and slept eight adults and three children comfortably. The kids loved the lake and the swing, not to mention story time in front of the fireplace. We enjoyed ourselves a great deal and cannot wait until we return again this year. Our family will treasure the memories of our time spent at your cabin.
Thank you Amy and your entire family for sharing your beautiful home! The photos on VRBO and amenities are the reason we decided on your home for our 50th Anniversary Family Celebration. But, the actual home is far beyond our expectations. Our family consisting of three married children and seven grandchildren, ranging in age from 4 years old to 16 years old There were multiple things for all to enjoy, from fishing, kayaking, bking, videos, games, pool table, grilling and enjoying the back patio from very early morning to late in the evening! The bunk room was a big hit with the grand kids!
Thanks again. We will definitely use your home again.

We had a fabulous time at the cabin. The amenities were great and the location peaceful. It was great having a bathroom for each couple and a generous sized room for the kids. Looking forward to coming back again!
What an incredible experience we had once again. Extremely comfortable accommodations, elegant, and just simply amazing overall. We had excellent weather this time around which allowed us to fish and use the kayaks and pedal boats. Our friends who joined us were completely in awe with the cabin and grounds all around. What sets this cabin apart from others is the owners and family who rent it- they truly take pride in their home and keep it beautiful. They are also very generous with allowing guests to use their water sports equipment - that's pretty awesome!
Overall a phenomenal experience! This cabin deserved 5 stars and will remain our home away from home for years to come (hopefully they keep renting it out :) )
Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
Beautiful cabin!!!! Everything about it was awesome!!! Huge living room with fireplace. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need for a holiday feast!!! Downstairs master bedroom was huge with fireplace. The master bathroom was huge as well!!! Nice shower and jaquzzi tub. With double sink. Also huge closet. Bed was super comfortable. Master Bedroom is downstairs and all other bedrooms are upstairs. There is 3 bedrooms with full bath upstairs with super comfortable beds. And they have a kids room with 3 sets of bunk beds plus 2 roll beds under the bunk beds. So kids room will sleep 8 kids. It has a pool table in the kids room with a ping pong table top. It has toys and a TV in there as well. If you have kids, this place is perfect. Has a 3 car garage. It also has kayaks that the owner said we could use but it was too windy so we didn't even try. What was real nice about the owners, they made sure we were stocked with enough fire wood for our stay. The outside of the cabin is also real nice. Really nice patio area in the back with beautifull views of the lake. House has its own boat dock. All around we were real pleased with the cabin. Everyone that went had a real good time and loved the place. You can tell that the owners take pride in their home cause it is well taken care off. I recommend this place to anyone. You will not be dissapointed with it. We definitely plan to stay there again!!!
This is a cabin that is very hard to find! We have been going up to the mountains for the past 10 years taking all family members. This is in a gated community which is safe to walk around and the view of the lake is right there for your enjoyment. The cabin was impeccably clean which is another requirement that we look for and this was superior! The owners are so wonderful to work with and take such pride in their beautiful home on the lake! We will be going back each year that they let us! Gorgeous retreat! Everything is provided! My family loved it!
What an amazing lakefront property surrounded by beautiful views and big skies. Gorgeous. We were extremely comfortable and had PLENTY of space with our group of 6 adults and 7 children (ages 2-12). We stayed here during spring break and the weather was a bit windy and chilly- as we expected it could be, but on the bright side- we had the lake all to ourselves!!
We covered everything on our itinerary-
-At the property there was a plethora of outdoor activities such as fishing (we needed to buy licenses for those who wanted to partake), kayaking, pedal boating, bicycling, and horseshoes. In addition to ping pong and a pool table inside this amazing cabin, we found plenty of board games, darts in the garage, books, movies, and more! A short drive away we found horseback riding and hiking. Grumpy Jake's, a BBQ place located nearby, was absolutely delicious, as was the Jalapeño Cafe if you feel like eating out.
Wish we could have stayed another week!
