We have traveled all over and enjoy hosting other travelers at our 'Home Away From Home'. When we first saw this home...all we wanted to do was stay and never return to the stresses of life. Alas, we couldn't escape to the Cabin as often as we planned, so the next best thing was to make it available to those Vacation Home Rental travelers that know the secret of comfortable hospitality and surroundings at prices and environments offered that are superior to city-centered Hotel Suites. ENJOY!
Jack or Lenore purchased this cabin in 2006
Our Home is in the perfect location for those who want to enjoy: the 'Gatlinburg Cabin' feeling without driving all the way to East Tennessee, being close enough to participate in Nashville's BIG-CITY 'sights and Sounds' and, enjoy local festivals and visiting wonderful historic sites and activities just minutes from our Home.
When we first pulled into the driveway and saw this home it felt to us like we had just arrived at a 'Vacation Destination'. The setting, the trees, the lake, the cabins and the scent of the evergreen trees were welcoming and familiar. Our home offers a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful lake, the freedom of 'doing nothing' and plenty of things to see in the area. Forget about your 'rushed life', the job, tons of 'appointments' to keep. Come and reconnect with your family and friends, enjoy the awesome sunsets and sunrises and feel the 'pressures' just melt away.
We really enjoyed your home. It is a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. We rented a pontoon boat and focused on fishing and we caught lots of fish. It was a peaceful and restful stay. Hopefully we will be back on our annual get-away next year. It was great.
My wife and I rented Jack and Lenore's 2BR 1 BA apartment outside of Nashville, TN in Castalian Springs, TN for our honeymoon. Located in a quiet area with beautiful scenery, the proximity of Nashville minus the city traffic, quick and easy access to nearby stores along with plenty of things to do in town made for a great honeymoon. Having a clean smell as we first entered, the furniture being well kept and in good condition, as well as the organization and decoration of the apt impressed us as we first entered. We especially enjoyed having the opportunity to cook in the apt as kitchenware was also provided. Jack and Lenore were wonderful to be in communication with for renting their apt as they were quick to respond to our emails. We also had the opportunity of meeting them while we were at their apt and they were very friendly, loving people who took time to talk with my wife and I and get to know us.
...this was a cozy, adorable cottage. Now the home is old and tired, as well as everything in it. We made the best of it, but were disappointed that the care and maintenance was not up to our standards. We didn't think the idea of sharing common space and the grill was going to be a problem, but we did find out it's not the best idea. You really have no privacy and you have to schedule your cooking times with the other guests. Fortunately, we were able to work things out with the other family. On a positive note, there was plenty of hot water and the air conditioning worked well. We were happy for the washer and dryer to launder towels and wash cloths because there wasn't a good supply for a week. We met the owner, Jack, who was a very nice fellow.
Jack and Lenore have a beautiful home nestled away from the worries of everyday life. My husband and I, along with another couple from our high school days, stayed at this cozy lake home and really enjoyed our time away. The house was very clean, well kept and very pleasant to stay in. We are looking to go back to Nashville in just a couple of months, at which time we will be looking at staying at another property that Jack and Lenore have. We can't wait.
My wife and I and another couple shared this beautiful home. Very clean inside and out, picturesque setting, beautifully furnished. Jack and Lenore were so friendly and helpful. I can't overstate how positive our experience was.
We enjoyed our two nights at this place...peaceful and lots of outdoor relaxing space.
What a comfortable stay we had at this lovely home. It was so clean, and was just right for what we needed! From the moment we arrived, we felt so relaxed. I would love to visit here again, but this time stay longer!
