The location is ideal for walkers and hikers.

From a cultural point of view, Guimarães does not have to be ashamed of the comparison with Lisbon or Porto. Because of its history, this is one of the most active cities in Portugal in this area throughout the year. Its programming so rich has made it the European Capital of Culture in 2012.
