Best Vacation Spot

After Tavelling to many "warm" Vacation spots in the Carribean my family went to Grand Cayman in 1989 and haven't been to any other spot to get out of the cold.

We have been staying at London House for 15 years and wouldn't change our annual trip! The property and beach are super. The beach is so quiet and so close. Just steps away. Great snorkelling just off the beach with good scuba sites offshore.

Ther are world class restaurants on Grand Cayman with " Calypso Grill " being our favourite. Try the Sticky Toffee Pudding.

You should try this place!

July 10-17 2016 This was our first trip to Grand Cayman

We just wanted to add a quick review of Unit 8 at The London House. Check in was a breeze. Both Allison and Dominique were there and very friendly and efficient. We were traveling with another couple and we both checked in in less than 10 min. We were given our keys and pertinent information about the resort and we were off to explore. Andy's car rental only gave us one car key so we went to Kirks Hardware Store and had a extra car key made. ( about $5 USD) That way our friends could use the car without having to come find us and get the car key.

When we got in our room I was concerned that the AC was not going to be cold enough, but it took about 6 hours and the room had cooled down to a nice 70. They do not run the air when the rooms are not occupied. Unit 8, or better known as the Honeymoon Suite, is facing the beach and you get NO road noise or noise from other units. It is on the end with no unit above it. The other couple we traveled with had unit 14 on the 2nd floor and heard some road noise and noise next door, but not enough to bother them. We really loved unit 8 but be aware it is the smallest 1 bedroom at London House. It is a charming place with a cozy feel. One interesting thing we did find was a guest book signed by those who had stayed there. The comments by the guests gave wonderful suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Adorning the walls are many lovely works by the owner's daughter who is a wonderful artist. We ended up buying one of her prints. The bathroom and kitchen are very small, but adequate. The kinged sized bed was very comfortable . The family/dining area is fairly large. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans and utensils for cooking. The only thing I would bring for the kitchen is your favorite spices. They did have salt and pepper; soap for the dishwasher was included but not laundry soap. You can get ANYTHING you need at either Fosters or Kirks both within about 5 min from London House. We rented a car for the week and drove around the island one day & to Georgetown just about every day; sometimes twice a day; we used about $50 USD in gas.

Best trip to Cayman EVER!

We chose London House initially because it is a smaller condo complex, is on a more quiet stretch of Seven Mile Beach up near West Bay, and the reviews on the internet were favorable.

Our communication with London House was mostly via email, and they were always quick to respond. We booked a week in a 1 bedroom at their half off rate. I also told them I was planning a surprise wedding, and they were delighted to let us have it on the beach at sunset.

When we first arrived we were greeted by Dominque, and were pleasantly surprised to hear that we had been upgraded to an upper floor 2 bedroom unit.

The unit was well appointed with a large fully stocked kitchen, dining area, 1/2 bath and living room with 40" LCD TV, and a nice outdoor deck. Upstairs was two bedrooms and two baths, one with a jetted tub, and one with a shower. Each bedroom had an LCD TV as well.

The pool and sundeck area were very nicely laid out, with plenty of lounges, and there is also a built in Cayman grill and a gas grill. The grounds were very well taken care and trimmed, and the paths were all spotless and well lit at night.

There is also a hammock hut, which is where I spent most of my time in the afternoon after diving. My wife would lay out by the pool or on the beautiful sandy white beach. There was plenty of area if you wanted to work on your tan, but also plenty of shade as well. I think I counted 10-12 hammocks, so there was plenty for everyone.

When I surprised my wife with our vows renewal, Dominique was right there to help. I hired Joy Basdeo of The Joy of Weddings to do the service under the Casurina Tree, and Heather Holt from Heather Holt Photography to document the event. It was the perfect sunset and Heather captured every moment of it.

Nebby took care of our unit, and gave us lots of helpful info, as well as keeping our unit spotless!

We had an absolutely wonderful time, and hated to leave and head back to Atlanta. I highly recommend London House, and know you will enjoy it as much as we did.

A 50% deposit is required to hold a reservation and the remaining payment is due upon arrival. Deposits are refundable with 90+ day notice.

For stays between December 20 and January 4, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the remaining payment due mid-October.

The London House accepts Visa, MasterCard and traveler’s checks (personal checks accepted for advance deposits only).
