Situated on the Costa Tropical, Salobreña is a beautiful Andaluçían town built on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. On top of the hill sits a Moorish castle where panoramic views of the coastline and Sierra Nevada Mountains can be enjoyed. Salobreña has something for everyone whether you´re looking for peace and quiet or something a little more active.

Overlooking Salobreña is the exclusive private community of “Monte de los Almendros” – Hill of the Almond Trees. The “Monte” is a safe, clean, well-managed, community which residents from 20 different countries call home. During the year some of the 375 villas invite guests to the community and all are welcome to use the two pools, tennis court and other recreational areas or guests can just relax with a drink or a book at the community chiringuito (snack bar).

Just 2 minutes’ walk from the community pool is Villa Sol de La Molina. The Villa is divided into two separate large apartments each with their own entrance and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and fruit trees. Each apartment has been fully renovated and offers 2 bedroom, two bathroom accommodation. Both apartments are spacious with over 1800 sqft and easily sleep 4-6 people. Each apartment has a large balcony providing stunning views over the Mediterranean, the Moorish castle and the town of Salobreña.

Both apartments are well equipped to meet your holiday needs including air conditioning and heating, WIFI, TV and stereo in the living room and modern appliances in the kitchen. Adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious pantry and a laundry room with a new Bosch washing machine. There is also ample parking available.

Salobreña with its white washed buildings, Moorish castle and churches still manages to retain its small town appeal. Salobreña however, is also an active tourist destination with great restaurants, bars, entertainment, sports facilities and supermakets. There are also many things to do around Salobreña including: golf, sailing, scuba diving, waterskiing, climbing, windsurfing, cycling, paragliding, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, trekking, snowboarding, snorkelling, swimming and bird watching.

Why Janos chose Costa Tropical

Few beaches in Spain have taken care of intangible aspects and regulated the quantity and quality of buildings like Salobreña. This uniqueness is what made us decide to live here. We are convinced that you will soon appreciate our beaches without any traffic jams and crowds. This is a very well managed private community comprised of 375 villas with people from 20 different countries. Yet driving down to town is only a question of a few minutes. Salobreña still maintains the flair of a small Spanish town where everything is just around the corner. It offers 5 great supermakets and many restaurants, which are mainly located right by the beach. The waters are calm, clean and crystal clear.

And yes, we nearly forgot, we enjoy about 320 sunny days a year.

Spacious, calm and beautifully situated.

We stayed here for 10 very happy week's. The views from the balcony are stunning, look left and the snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada touch the sky, look right and the sun sparkles on the Med.

Old Salobrena is 10 minutes away, full of interest and history, while the lower town is charming and supplies most needs.

One of the best things about our stay was the quality of our hosts . Karin and Janos; they are a mine of information, ever helpful, masters of any crisis and extremely kind.They are never obtrusive but there with local knowledge and ready to help IF requested.

We have already booked our return next year.

Great location, beautiful apartment

Our stay in Salobrena was great - the apartment large, newly renovated and furnished, and from the hills you have a gorgeous view of the beach and the castle. With our rental car it took just 5 min to the beach, really good restaurants even on the beach and multiple supermarkets. With our 4-year-old we especially enjoyed the large gated pool area (including a small playground!!) just 2 minutes from the apartment. Overall recommendable.

Séjour parfait !

Nous venons de passer 2 semaines dans cette maison, les propriétaires sont très accueillants et de très bon conseil. La maison est propre, spacieuse et bien équipée ; même si la déco est un peu datée, l'essentiel est là et permet de passer de bonnes vacances. La piscine est située à deux pas et avec 3 enfants c'était l'endroit idéal pour commencer la journée. Le centre de Salobrena est à 5 minutes en voiture, on trouve tout ce qu'il faut (les plages, les magasins, la poste, etc.). Encore un grand merci à Janos et Karin, nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine !

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Sophie, dankeschön and we are looking forward to see you again. I'm very surprised that I understood everything you wrote in french. I was very good in french when I was 14, that was 60 years ago. To tell you the truth, when we bought this property at the end of 2013, it was in a horrible state, all of it inside and outside and we had it repaired and rebuilt. Upstairs originally there were three bedrooms and one very old bath room. Now only two bedrooms and two new bath rooms. All kitchen appliances are new. The home was filled with old furniture in both floors. After donating as much as we could, our container with our own furniture arrived and we refurnished downstairs. And yes all the remaining original furniture that we had not donated, the best of it, we sent upstairs, the "deco un peu datée", sorry about that. I think we will have to do something about that. Maybe you can give us some ideas... Give my love to your husband and your lovely daughters. Janos

Schöne Wohnung mit toller Aussicht und guter Lage

Wir waren im August in Salobrena zu Gast Ausgezeichnete Wohnung für unsere Ansprüche (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder). Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und standen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, egal ob es sich um Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Freizeitmöglichkeiten oder Wünsche bezgl. der Wohnung handelte. Waren habe die Zeit genossen, vor allem die Ruhe und Aussicht vom dem Balkon zum Frühstück oder Abends. Der Pool war ideal, zum Baden am Abend, nach den Ausflügen in die Umgebung.
