Our newly renovated home guarantees a perfect vacation on the Vineyard. This 5 bedroom house is across the street from Nantucket Sound. Sit back and relax on the spacious front porch - catch the sun and the moon rise over the Atlantic Ocean. It features 5 spacious bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 large comfortable living rooms, a dining area that seats 10, an entertainment room, a reading room, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Just bring some clothes and personal items - the house has pretty much everything you'll need.
We have an outside bricked patio area with table, chairs and umbrella to enjoy an outdoor built-in barbecue. The yard is terrific for outdoor games, badminton, croquet, horseshoes or lounging in the hammock. There's an outside shower to cool or rinse off under.
Our house is literally steps away from the beach, parks, the Steamship and other passenger ferries, downtown Oak Bluffs, and Oak Bluffs harbor. If you want to bring your car, we have private parking for two vehicles.
We supply clean towels and linens, as well as a washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board. You will find books, indoor and outdoor games, HDTV, cable and WIFI. Coffee pot, microwave, wine cooler, ice maker, dishwasher, blender, 6 burner stove, 2 ovens, pots, pans, cooking utensils, gadgets, glasses, flatware and dinnerware are all in the kitchen.
Sorry - no pets, but there is a place to board dogs and cats on the Island.
No smoking inside, smoking OK outside if you use the ashtrays.
We try to assist you with automobile reservations for the Steamship Authority.
We have traveled extensively, staying in many different vacation properties over the years, and this beautiful house was far and away the best property we've stayed in, and the most relaxing trip we've ever had. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The setup (with a few different living areas, a very nice kitchen, great bedrooms and bathrooms, and a lovely yard) was wonderful. The location was so convenient; it really was perfect for our family. We loved how easy it was to do anything we wanted -- walk to the beach, stroll Circuit Avenue, pop over to the fun Lookout Tavern or head to Nancy's Restaurant for great food, drinks, and a view of the harbor. Our 16-year-old and his friends loved hopping on the buses and heading to other parts of the island. We loved sitting on the porch, enjoying the ocean view, and watching the ferries and the world go by. It really was a perfect Vineyard vacation, made possible by finding this beautiful property.
We stayed for an extended weekend for a friend's wedding. The interior is beautiful, apparently the house has recently been fully renovated. Nice clean bedrooms, plus a bathroom for every bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and two great sitting areas. The porch is a great place to hang out to enjoy the sunny day or sunsets. Unfortunately, most places were not open in town being the "off season", but the location of the house is literally seconds away from most of the town's restaurants and shops. We met the owners the first day we arrived; very friendly, and they made sure to make us feel at home right away. There weren't any problems that weekend, so we didn't see them again. I would definitely recommend this house to anybody looking for a nice, more up to date house that wants to visit the Island. Hopefully we can make a yearly trip back!
Stayed for girls week, great spot! Would recommend for families also. The Lookout is next door for some delicious seafood or whatever you fare. Beach is across the street and also the ferry! Everything in town is within walking distance!
Best spot in town! Located water front of Nantucket Sound, you will be minutes away from Oak Bluffs' best parks, beaches, fishing, entertainment, shops, restaurants, historical landmarks, art galleries and lots of activities. Oak Bluffs summer events include Grand Illuminations and August fireworks. Nearby public transportation, taxi stands, bus tours, and bike and car rentals. Steps away from the Steamship Authority ferry to Woods Hole, as well as passenger only ferries to Falmouth, Hyannis, Nantucket and New Bedford. Although you won't need a car, you'll have 2 private parking spaces and we help book auto reservations for the steamship. Experience Martha's Vineyard Oak Bluffs style!
Other Activities: No malls but a multitude of charming shops with unique clothing, arts and crafts, eclectic gifts, gear, candy, and lots more for shoppers. Great parks, beaches, fishing and lots of terrific bike paths for outdoor fun. Be on the look out for celebrities, authors, and politicians or spend time beach combing. Local markets for groceries, fine wines, farmers markets and a pharmacy. Movie theaters, video game room and the oldest carousel in the US; the Flying Horses are nearby for the young at heart. Charter boats, jet skiing, para-sailing, bikes and jeeps are available for the adventurous. Oak Bluffs has a great library, arts district, and historical sites to visit on mellow days. Eat out everyday at a different restaurant, from fine dining to snack bars. Watch great sunsets while enjoying a frozen cocktail on Oak Bluffs Harbor.
