|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
RATES ARE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE REQUESTING TO STAY.
WE are now handicap accessible. Please review photographs.
FYI - internet is NOT available. First reason, our regular guest request that we don't have internet so the kids/teenagers spend quality time with the family and not the rest of the world. Second, we do NOT have cable , (it does not run down our street) but satellite DISH for TV. So, if one child downloads the limit in one day (like our grand kids in our home) there is no Internet for the rest of the month until it changes over.
HORSES! HORSES! Need something different? Need Peace and Quiet? We have it. This is the 'Farm House' you will see why when you look out the window and see the red barn and horses grazing in the back yard. IF YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR HORSES - WELCOME! IF YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED HORSE RIDER YOU CAN RIDE OUR HORSES!
Inside, each room is eloquently decorated in an 'old Farm House' fashion! In the master bedroom (upstairs) you will find a king size bed, TV, electric fireplace and a large Jacuzzi tub, shower with double sinks in the master bathroom. There is a queen size bed and two double beds in the two other bedrooms upstairs. In the middle of the two bedrooms is a large bathroom.
Downstairs is the OPEN kitchen area with a dining room, two glass slider doors for optimum view of the horses and creek. A large laundry room, living room and TV sitting room. Everyone enjoys the downstairs as the children can be in the TV sitting room and adults in the living room or kitchen as its an open concept.
The TV sitting room has French doors that can be closed off for a private bedroom with the large sofa (that makes into a queen bed) and a love seat. There is also a full bathroom in the sitting room.
We are handicapped accessible. There is ramp on the side of the house for a wheelchair or walker. (its on the side you can see but we just made it handicap so the picture may not show it). Once on the porch there is a 6 inch threshold into the house. In the downstairs bath room there is a lifted handicap toilet seat and handrail for the shower. The TV room has a sofa bed and we will try to make it as comfortable as possible.
There is a wrap around porch on the front. Its nice to sit in the rocking chairs or porch swing to listen to nature. On the back porch you find a gas grill with a wrought iron table and chairs to enjoy the sound of the creek in the backyard and watch the horses. The back yard has a picnic table and a fire pit where you can cook marshmallows or smores.
If you like nature and enjoy the peacefulness of being in the country away from the fast city life, this house is for you! When you look out the windows you see nature at its best with trees all around, a creek surrounds the property and horses will come through the back yard walking or running to the next pasture. You can hear the whippoorwill, owl, turkey, wood peckers, and see the eagles, ravens and hawks - Kids love it! The cabin is located on 10 acres of land, you can hike around the property. You don't have to worry about the cabin hanging off a cliff or being terrified of steep mountainous roads. There is a front and back yard for the kids to play. The house is about 2500 square feet. There are 3 TV's, 2 DVD players and a Stereo system in the cabin.
It is located about five miles from the entrance of the Smoky Mountains in beautiful Wears Valley, 10 miles from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Check out the photos for complete pictures of the house and surrounding area or email me.

My husband retired and loves taking care of the animals. It's so relaxing to both of us.
Pamela Huddleston purchased this farmhouse in 2005
We chose Wears Valley to retire from the hectic life of the city. We went from City Slickers to Green Acres (TV show) with some of the same experiences, and we love the change.
Its wonderful to look 360 degrees around the house, see and hear nothing but nature and watch the animals grazing and playing. Its SO RELAXING! No one around, no cabins to look at, kids and pets can run around in the front and back yard without worry.
It is just like the description says ! Beautiful scenery wherever we looked, friendly animals, super clean house, great yard for dogs, and the owner is right next door if something pops up. (nothing did). The dead end road provides a quiet haven for walking or hiking. The night sky is lit up with a billion stars, and the sun peaks into this little hollow as the rooster's crow echoes through the valley. A wonderful place to relax ! I could go on and on. This will be our special place in TN. Rent this place and you will see what I mean.
We decided to take a road trip to Tennessee. We booked the Farm House and couldn't have been happier. Our kids loved the animals and our dog loved playing in the yard. The home is very clean and cozy. What a great relaxing trip. Loved waking up to the sound of the rooster crowing! Pam left us delicious cupcakes for our arrival and helpful hints to finding things in town. Her recommendation to go to Cades Cove was one of the highlights of our trip. Would love to go back again in the future. Thanks again for the lovely accommodations!
We love The Farm House, Pam makes you feel at home with cupcakes in the kitchen, the house is clean and the beds sleep great! The grandchildren love to go to the barn to feed the horses and watch the animals, they even have boots in the laundry room for you to use if you want to. You can not go wrong with this house!!!!Love It!!!!
Our stay at the farm could not have been more perfect....we wish we could have stayed longer. The house and property were even better than described online and the animals were incredibly friendly.
We arrived after a few days of traveling to a beautiful and spotless home that was well decorated. The personal touches the owner added made our stay extra special. Interacting with the animals, playing on the tire swing and enjoying a family movie night were some of our favorite activities. We can't wait to return!
When we arrived at the Farmhouse, we were like kids on Christmas morning! We were so excited to see that not only was the property everything it was described to be, but even more. The house is charming and beautifully decorated, making you feel instantly at home when you walk through the door. Delicious cupcakes were sitting on the kitchen table just waiting to be eaten, which we did in no time flat! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the front porch rockers and swing and also the back deck. It was fun to watch the animals that live there and feed the sweet and friendly horses that wander up from the barn for a treat. The beautiful setting added to the wonderful experience we had. The beds were very comfortable and provided us the best night's sleep we've had in a long time! Pamela (the owner) was very helpful in answering our travel questions and we couldn't have been more pleased with the communication we received from her. We didn't want to leave and look forward to a return visit! Best rental we've ever had!
We stayed at the Farm House for the weekend and were very pleased with the house. The pictures really can't do it justice. Pamela has done a wonderful job of tastefully decorating the house so that it reflects the farm and the Gatlinburg area without being over done. The house is very comfortable with plenty to do. The horses love to be fed and don't mind you walking in the pasture. The house is in a valley so it actually has a yard which is really nice. We had a technical issue with the TV and German came right down to show us what to do. We were hoping for a quiet relaxing get-away and we got it! There are a few neighbors but you can't see or hear them. It rained each day we were there and we enjoyed the downpour from the porch rocking chairs. We also enjoyed the birds at the feeders. This trip we only went into town for groceries and Gepetto's for pizza but Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are not far, if that is what you want to do. Of course, if you want to avoid that area, there are shops and grocery stores within a short drive of the house. We really enjoyed our time at the Farm House and hope to come again and maybe even bring the family. Pamela and German, thanks so much for providing a quiet and relaxing get-away!
