WE are now handicap accessible. Please review photographs.
FYI - internet is NOT available. First reason, our regular guest request that we don't have internet so the kids/teenagers spend quality time with the family and not the rest of the world. Second, we do NOT have cable , (it does not run down our street) but satellite for TV. As an example, if one child downloads the limit in one day (like our grand kids in our home) there is no Internet for the rest of the month until it changes over.
HORSES! HORSES! Need something different? Need Peace and Quiet? We have it. This is the 'Farm House' you will see why when you look out the window and see the red barn and horses grazing in the back yard. IF YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR HORSES - WELCOME! IF YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED HORSE RIDER YOU CAN RIDE OUR HORSES!
Inside, each room is eloquently decorated in an 'old Farm House' fashion! In the master bedroom (upstairs) you will find a king size bed, TV, electric fireplace and a large Jacuzzi tub, shower with double sinks in the master bathroom. There is a queen size bed and two double beds in the two other bedrooms upstairs. In the middle of the two bedrooms is a large bathroom.
Downstairs is the OPEN kitchen area with a dining room, two glass slider doors for optimum view of the horses and creek. A large laundry room, living room and TV sitting room. Everyone enjoys the downstairs as the children can be in the TV sitting room and adults in the living room or kitchen as its an open concept.
The TV sitting room has French doors that can be closed off for a private bedroom with the large sofa (that makes into a queen bed) and a love seat. There is also a full bathroom in the sitting room.
We are handicapped accessible. There is ramp on the side of the house for a wheelchair or walker. (its on the side you can see but we just made it handicap so the picture may not show it). Once on the porch there is a 6 inch threshold into the house. In the downstairs bath room there is a lifted handicap toilet seat and handrail for the shower. The TV room has a sofa bed and we will try to make it as comfortable as possible.
There is a wrap around porch on the front. Its nice to sit in the rocking chairs or porch swing to listen to nature. On the back porch you find a gas grill with a wrought iron table and chairs to enjoy the sound of the creek in the backyard and watch the horses. The back yard has a picnic table and a fire pit where you can cook marshmallows or smores.
If you like nature and enjoy the peacefulness of being in the country away from the fast city life, this house is for you! When you look out the windows you see nature at its best with trees all around, a creek surrounds the property and horses will come through the back yard walking or running to the next pasture. You can hear the whippoorwill, owl, turkey, wood peckers, and see the eagles, raven and hawks - Kids love it! The cabin is located on 10 acres of land, you can hike around the property. You don't have to worry about the cabin hanging off a cliff or being terrified of steep mountainous roads. There is a front and back yard for the kids to play. The house is about 2500 square feet. There are 3 TV's, 2 DVD players and a Stereo system in the cabin.
It is located about five miles from the entrance of the Smoky Mountains in beautiful Wears Valley, 10 miles from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Prices are inclusive of taxes and cleaning cost. No hidden cost. Check out the photos for complete pictures of the house and surrounding area or email me.

My husband retired and loves taking care of the animals. It's so relaxing to him.

We chose Wears Valley to retire from the hectic life of the city. We went from City Slickers to Green Acres (TV show) with some of the same experiences, and we love the change.
Its wonderful to look 360 degrees around the house, see and hear nothing but nature and watch the animals grazing and playing. Its SO RELAXING! No one around, no cabins to look at, kids and pets can run around in the front and back yard without worry.
We travel with another family every summer to the Wears Valley area. This years, by far beat all the others!!! The farm house was absolutely perfect for us. The horses came to visit every afternoon, the rooster would give us a good morning holler, the creek outside the back door was awesome, the catch and release fishing pond was a perfect babysitter for the children, and the porches were the perfect place to enjoy our coffee in the morning and adult beverages in the evenings, the kitchen was fully equipped for all our cooking needs, and the grill and fire pit were great too! Not having internet or cellular service was just what our family needed to disconnect and enjoy all the surrounding this farm house offered! Highly recommend this beautiful home for your future vacations.
We loved staying at the farmhouse. It was so quiet and peaceful. It was a beautiful place I would recommend it to anyone. We loved the house ;the grounds and the animals. A perfect place for children .
Staying at the Farmhouse is delightfully peaceful!
The joy the horses brought to our teenagers as they came to greet them every day was wonderful,
And we enjoyed listening to the Whipoorwill and the Owls. We would stay again in a heartbeat. This is NOT your average rental home!
Awesome place to stay.. The farm is like being in your own home. The decor is decorated like a comfortable home, instead of a cabin. Will definitely be staying here again. Loved the horses and dog. Very friendly and would let you pet and feed them. Caretaker is a friendly and helpful young gentleman. Thank you for a great week and the cupcakes also🐴🐓🐈
we had a lot of unusual circumstances and needs that we had to work around making it difficult to find the " perfect" rental. This home was not only everything we needed, the owner was amazing during the whole process. The kids loved the freedom to play outside, feeding apples to the horses and seeing all of the other charming animals. The handicap additions were perfect for my disabled mom. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and being so accommodating through it all. :)
We just returned from our Easter weekend visit. The house is very comfortable. There is plenty of room for everyone. The yard is beautiful. A peaceful stream flows through the property, the horses and ducks greet you, it is just beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful experience. We can't wait to return.
