This 50 m2 studio is perfect for one person or a couple.
It is very centrally located right on Constituyentes Avenue, just across the street from the park. From the studio you can walk to the most important museum area in Mexico City. The famous Anthropological museum, the Modern Art, Rufino Tamayo and Natural History museum are all within walking distance. Located in the picturesque neighborhood of San Miguel Chapultepec, this studio is a real oasis in the city. As soon as you walk in the garden and hear the water falling form the fountain you feel far away from the busy street. The studio, located on the 3rd floor, is spacious and full of light. It has big windows on two of the walls with nothing but greenery outside. Double glass on the windows reduces the noise from the street. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with electrical stove, mini refrigerator and all the utensils you might need. The studio has a beautiful private bathroom. Linens are provided and changed weekly.
Raúl Díaz. Retired, 70 year old architect, very kind and helpful. Loves his city and likes to welcome and introduce people to it. He has travelled the world over and knows what travellers are looking for. He will do everything he can to make your stay a pleasant one.
Mariana Diaz purchased this studio in 1976
I live in this place. I know it is very centrally located and like to share it with people visiting the city. My family has lived here for over 40 years and it has an unbeatable location. My children and grand children come often to enjoy the garden.
Four days' stay in Studio Chapultepec were just right for an introduction to the museums in the park. My introduction to Mexico DF as well.I was thrilled to find that dogs are not allowed in the park, making my walks there so much more peaceful. And now I can tell my friends and relatives that my neighbor in Mexico DF was the president of the country, as well. Apparently he lives near here.Yes I will recommend Studio Chapultepec if I meet anyone interested in visiting Mexico DF (or the president of Mexico)
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality. Our visit was too short. However it was also very pleasant. The studio, the park, your interesting family, all together made for a perfect visit. I enjoyed the book on Chapultepec Park and stayed up late reading.
Muchisimas gracias por todo
I stayed at Studio Chapultepec for 8 days during Christmas week. The studio was everything it was advertised to be: a tastefully-appointed, modern and upscale residence across the street from Bosque Chapultepec and within easy walking distance to Condesa, Roma, Hipodromo, Polanca. A 24-hour cab stand is right around the corner, and it is a 5-minute walk to the Metro. Raul and Mariana are sophisticated, charming and responsive hosts; their friendship alone makes this a very desirable stopover. Although the studio is located at the back of a charming garden compound, the noise from the street can be a challenge at night, when trucks dominate Av. Constituyentes. I easily overcame this intrusion with ear plugs and sometimes soft music, so I was able to sleep uninterrupted. I will definitely stay at Studio Chapultepec on my next trip to Mexico City.
For a first stay in Mexico City this was a perfect location. Next to Chapultepec Park, a large, walkable, Central-park like feel to it with places of interest to visit. Within walking distance to the metro. Close to a taxi stand. A couple of cafes and restaurants within a few walking blocks. Having an entire top floor of a historic-feeling home set up as a spacious studio was very comfortable. Raúl was wonderful from arrival to departure. From the moment I arrived he set me up with orientation of where we were in the city, what was worth visiting, how to get around, what was local. Perfect host and very knowledgeable of all things Mexico City. The reason I chose this location was based on other reviews - which I find to be honest descriptions of others' experiences here. There is a secure gate at the entrance of the property, and it's in a safe area. The only negative is that there is traffic on the street next to the property that can be noisy at times - so if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend bringing something to offset that. However, this is something out of the owners' control. Everything that Mariana and Raúl provided was wonderful. They really helped make my first experience in Mexico City a pleasant and enjoyable experience. So, thank you!
If you're looking for an affordable peaceful little private oasis for a short stay or a long stay in this amazing city, this is your place. It is located across the street from Chapultepec Park where you can easily walk and enjoy the variety of museums. It is also located in a part of the city that allows for ease by taxi to a variety of locations. With such a large and busy city, it was really nice to be in a location where we could head any direction with ease. We felt completely safe and comfortable and welcomed. The courtyard is exactly what you see in the photo -- green and lush which helps to block the sounds of the city. The studio itself is very comfortable for one or two people with a lovely kitchenette... which is good to utilize for ease of eating and such. We weren't there long enough to get a feel for restaurants and cafes nearby, but honestly, when I stay again one day - I would immediately go to a grocery store - get some convenient staples then take a taxi to places if I want to eat out. We didn't find many cafes in walking distance that made sense for our tastes but there are many to choose from with just a short taxi ride away - which there are plenty of taxis that pass by. Overall, I would definitely stay here again - please note that if you have a tough time going up stairs you may need another location for the studio is on the third (top) floor... however it is worth the walk up! Without traffic, the international airport, by taxi, is about 20 to 30 minutes away... with traffic - roughly an hour. Just in summary, our biggest desire was to stay in a lovely place that is safe and where we could get to different parts of the city easily - this beautiful gem of a studio did just that!
I spent 11 wonderful days at Studio Chapultepec and couldn't have had a better base for my stay in Mexico City. The studio had all the amenities I wanted (as described on the website) and was kept spotlessly clean throughout my stay. Although the beds are technically sofabeds, they have very good quality mattresses and I found them extremely comfortable (far better than many hotel beds I've slept in). I loved being up on the third floor, looking into the trees outside, and it was wonderful to come home at the end of a full and stimulating day and step into the cool green garden. Raul Diaz was a charming host, offering lots of practical advice, but also lots of interesting insights into the history and personalities of Mexico City. As others have mentioned, he kindly lent me several interesting art books, which complemented perfectly the visits to art galleries and museums I made during the day. I also loved San Miguel Chapultepec, which is a relaxed leafy residential neighbourhood, yet only a ten minute metro ride away from the historic centre of the city. The only downside for me was the noise of traffic from the busy road outside (particularly the lorries at night), but that didn't stop me feeling relaxed and at peace in the studio - and it wouldn't stop me returning. In fact, I can't imagine staying anywhere else on my next visit! Muchas gracias por todo y espero volver muy pronto!
In the heart of Mexico City. Very centrally located, just in front Chapultepec Park.
