.....Don't risk a new listing and inexperienced hosts! We have been sharing our flat with visitors for 12 years - all 4-5-star ratings from happy guests! This is what one visitor from Washington, USA had to say -

THIS is your perfect London base - - a cool yet cosy, HUGE for London ( over 900 sq ft/ 90 sq meters) space in a great location. Completely charming flat on first floor (2nd to US guests) of period building overlooking glorious Bishops Park (Google it!) in Fulham. SLEEPS 4 plus baby in two bedrooms, a queen-size inflatable bed for the living room, and A CRIB!. PLEASE NOTE to reach flat from lobby there are 18 steps up, landing break in middle, sorry, no lift/elevator

Please note 2nd bedroom is beautiful but tiny - there is only one twin bed; if the inflatable bed goes on the floor there is no room to walk around. Suggest using sleep-on couches in living room or putting inflatable bed there or in main bedroom.

AFTER AUGUST 31st the flat is available only for long-stay guests - 28 days or more. Thank you

WHY STAY IN FULHAM?

Fulham is an 'inner 'burb', an upscale, safe neighbourhood just 4 miles (in straight line) from Marble Arch, close enough to enjoy the sights but far enough away for a little quiet time. In the immediate area is a huge park with River Thames-side walks, nice homes, good shops and restaurants.

ARRIVING AT HEATHROW? Not close but a super-easy journey by Piccadilly Line tube to Hammersmith then quick bus or taxi ride to flat

NEAREST TUBE - PUTNEY BRIDGE (the green tube line which ends in WImbledon) .. 10/12 min pleasant walk from flat .... BUS STOPS 4-8 mins walk from flat ... total door-to-door journey time to Central London 25/60 minutes depending on traffic/crowds.

INSIDE THE FLAT... high ceilings, plenty of light and original features in 900 sq ft/30 sq m. The main bedroom has a Euro king (160cm/60 ins wide) bed, 2 large wardrobes & pretty non-working fireplace. The small bedroom is tiny but gorgeous, with a single (90cm) bed and French doors onto a small balcony with cafe table and two chairs overlooking tennis courts and park. There is also an inflatable queen bed or big sofa for sleeping. We have a travel crib for Baby.

There's a new flat-screen tv and a multi-regional DVD player with film library .

Super- high-speed WI-FI is free!

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM

Our favourite room, as big as many apartments! If you're planning a long stay, especially with kids, size really matters. Table and Conran chairs for six, a Bosch dishwasher, washing machine and dryer plus microwave etc. Read our reviews to learn how much guests love this space.

CHILD-FRIENDLY ... but not CHILD-PROOF!

Our son has left some toys and books for our tiniest guests...and our new boiler means you wont run out of hot water at bathtime!

Well-behaved children are most welcome and of course the park provides a big attraction - but please note the flat isn't child-proofed and guests are responsible for keeping their little ones - and our property - safe from harm.

Place was very very nice and extremely homely

Julies place in west london was very nice and had that away from home home feeling. Your a short walk to the bus stop and a bit further to the Putney bridge train station which will take you about 20 30 min to get into the heart of London. It had the comforts of your home a washer and dryer a add + when traveling.it's in a quite neighborhood with a small market within a very very short walking distance and a few restaurants/pubs a bit further of a walk from the flat. I would Def return thank you Julie.

Perfect London Flat

This is a lovely flat in a wonderful London location. The perfect base for your London adventure. The flat is in a comfortable neighborhood across from a big beautiful park, Bishops Park. Near a commercial street with evertything you need: several small grocery markets, a few restaurants and bars and a tube stop about a mile away. It was so easy to get into downtown, and if felt safe coming home at midnight.

Inside, the flat is wonderful. The bedrooms are so light and cheery. Full kitchen, a comfortable living room. We loved, loved staying here!

Excellent location - great apartment!

My spouse and I stayed here Oct. 12-19th and loved this spacious apartment with a huge kitchen and dining area, with laundry facilities. The location was excellent, conveniently located near coffee shops and restaurants, convenience store and local buses & tube stations. Our favourite grocery stores- Waitrose and Marks & Spencer, were only a 15 minute walk across Putney Bridge. We appreciated the owner's quick replies to questions before booking and local property manager's helpfulness (Licia) upon check-in and check-out. Beds were very comfortable, a quiet and safe area indeed. The bathroom sink tap continually dripped water but we were told that the sink will be replaced soon. We too smelled smoke coming from the tenants below (at the back) that seeped into the apartment most evenings but opening the window helped air it out before bed.

We loved the apartment and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Best rental of our family vacation

After several weeks traveling throughout Europe in late September through early October 2015, we arrived here. This is a very comfortable apartment, and, as Julie described, lived-in. We loved it. Very functional, everything worked, and thank God there was an actual clothes dryer and washer. Close to all transportation needs, close walk to the park next to the Thames, close to Putney Bridge and also to Hammersmith (good shopping throughout). Julie was very accommodating and Licia helped us settle in, although we were very late on our arrival and severely inconvenienced her (sorry, Licia!). Convenience stores around the corner, bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk, and from there, London is a bus or tube ride away. We were lucky to be there at the perfect time of year. The apartment itself is very well furnished and comfortable, large kitchen and dining area. You will have to supply your own food, but the kitchen is very well stocked. We were able to cook whatever we wanted every night. There was room for the four of us to sleep and live comfortably, with one master bedroom, one kids/guest room, and the couches in the TV room.

Overall, we were very comfortable staying there and would highly recommend this location for families traveling with children. Safe, quiet neighborhood that makes it easy to get around and see everything you would want. Away from the hustle and bustle, not much traffic on the actual street the flat is located on.

Anyway, if you're wondering if this is a great deal, yes it is. Close the deal on this apartment and you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful flat that really feels like home

Being a local girl I can really say that I felt like I was coming home when first walking in to this flat. It had everything we needed as a small family and more. Great eat in kitchen ( huge for a two bed Fulham flat ) which was very well equipped and looked over a very pretty communal garden where our son played. Both beds extremely comfy and a lovely light and welcoming sitting room. We just loved our stay and will definitely go again if the flat is free. Our host was very easy to deal with and so helpful. Check in and check out were seamless. All in all we were so happy and didn't want to leave.

Home from home

I have stayed in several apartments in London over the last few years and this is my favourite .

Why? A lovely homely feel, tastefully decorated with enough books and games and bits and pieces to make it feel like home but not be cluttered.The kitchen/dining room has a beautiful spacious feel, lovely light overlooking a small garden. All appliances supplied. Sitting room is comfortable with great couches for collaprinf into after a long day out. The bedroom was airy ( it was hot when we there)good cupboards and the bed was one of the best I have slept in away from home. Lots of extra linen if we needed it ( we didn't). Second bedroom is small but adequate for our daughter who was visiting us. My least favourite aspect is the bathroom - some old plumbing with a mind of its own, but hey, this is an old building.

Another great aspect to the flat is its location - just across the road from a park and then the Thames. Close to cafes. restaurants, supermarkets and just across the bridge from Putney High street.

Bus stops are a 5 min walk from the front door and the Putney Bridge station on the District line is a little further down the road.

Communication with the owner and property manager was efficient and responsive.

A beautiful 'rural' setting across from historic Bishops Park and the River Thames - but close to transport for all the sights of London. Especially good for kids - for playing in the park, and an easy bus or Tube ride to the city's great museums .
