About Rene Vela
I’m a father. I’m a husband. I’m a teacher. I’m a dog owner. Everything else, just decoration. My husband and I have two beautiful twin boys, a Brittany dog (that we adore) and not a moment goes by, without us counting our blessings. We absolutely love to run, concerts, good sushi and good company. We are social enough to say good morning, do you need anything? And, smart enough to say, they want alone time. I’ve been a teacher for 20 years. And, yes, like any job, there are ups and downs. Someone recently asked me: Do you still enjoy your job, after 20 years? And, immediately, without hesitation, I say: Yes! I love my job. I still have fun. And, I think that’s the secret to an excellent work life: find something you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.

Why Rene Vela chose Chino Hills
This area is special. I'm originally from Texas. I was raised on farms, ranches, open space. I always said, I'd love a place that takes me back to my roots. This place is all that, and more. The views, from your car door, are overwhelming. It's canyon and mountain views, as far as you can see. And, when you step outside, you know, you're in the right place.
What makes this Guest House unique
The location. You drive a solid 10-15 minutes from the freeway, and you feel like you've been driving for days. You escape everyday pressures and find peace and solitude the second you see the house. Going for a walk, around the neighborhood, is nothing short of spectacular. You can't help but become overwhelmed with the beauty of over 14,000 acres of rolling, grassy hills and valleys.

Peaceful and immaculate
Exactly as advertised. Zero fuss.
The accommodations were exactly as described by the host, Rene. It was in the perfect location for our planned activities while in the LA area and provided the quiet retreat we were hoping for. We will definitely look to stay here again when next visiting LA.
Jon and family were fantastic. Extremely nice, kind and respectful. Left our home very clean. Would love to host them again.
Peace and Quiet outside of LA?
What a peaceful spot in the mountains. Leaving the hustle and bustle of LA/Orange County to come into a quiet, artistic and serene setting was the perfect end to my day. Nice, brand new and very clean apartment above the owners garage, everything had a very zen like feel to it. I really enjoyed listening /watching the rain on the skylights and waking up to the view of the sun overlooking the mountains. The driveway was a bit steep, but even that added to the adventure of life in the mountains! Will definitely consider for any business travel to Anaheim area. Very convenient location for Orange County, Anaheim, Chino area.
Sleepy Hollow is a neighborhood situated in Carbon Canyon among the Chino Hills within the City of Chino Hills in San Bernardino County. The western boundary of the neighborhood adjoins the City of Brea in Orange County.
