This Luxury Vacation Home is located on Forest Road, one of the most prestigious on-mountain streets in Vail, with near ski-in, ski-out access to Vail's Eagle Bahn Gondola lift. Beautifully appointed, this home features 2 master suites with steam showers, large jacuzzi tubs, and private gas fireplaces, and has its own private hot tub on the deck overlooking Downtown Vail.
To walk to the slopes, you simply come out the front door and turn right, then walk 850 feet along Forest Road to the point where the road dead-ends into the ski slope under the Gondola. From there, you can put on your skis or snowboard and ski down to the Gondola terminal or the Born Free Express Chair. At the end of your ski day, you can ski from the top of the mountain back to Forest Road, take off your skis, and walk the 850 feet back to 706A Forest Road. We brought our family together ages 10 to 80 in this lovely home. It was clean and well taken care of. Kitchen was well stocked with a lot of dishes and anything you would need. Plenty of room to spread out. Perfect location for a short walk down to Lionshead. We did take the car down to the parking garage for those that did not want to walk back up to the house. Yes, there are a lot of steps but that is expected in the mountains. The hot tub worked perfect. The house is sat among the beautiful Aspens with a rock terrace in the back. The only negative was the elevator. We checked it out but did not use as we were not sure of it working right, maybe getting stuck plus it was dark inside. Maybe some bulbs needed changed. An elevator button was broken on top level. This was not a problem for our family. Everyone loved it. We would recommend this property and would like to return again.
The house was in a great location, just across the Gore Creek from Lionshead Village. The home was in good condition, clean and very nicely furnished. Lots of room for everyone to spread out as there are five bedrooms, three living areas, multiple patios, etc. The home is four stories high, so the stairs were a bit tiresome after a while, but there is an elevator for individuals not able to utilize stairs. Everything was as advertised, except, the hot tub patio does not overlook the Gore Creek as stated in the VRBO advertisement. The property is actually across the street and uphill from the creek and has no direct view of the Gore Creek from any vantage point. The brochure needs to clarify that for the future.
