Aruba offers Sun,beaches,Ocean,FineRestaurants,Casino,The best sunsets, and happy people every where.
This house is a great house because it has 4 master bedroom with your own private bathroom in each bedroom. It has a 5 th Bedroom set up for kids with a king bed, Queen bed, a pull out Couch and a futon. This house is a great house for a party . This house is on a very quite street on a large corner lot with your own private pool in the very large back yard with lounge chairs outside dinning gas grill. I bought this property because of its location, it's a cross the street from the Marriott Hotel And Casino And the Ritz Carlton, you can walk to the beach in less then 5 minutes, you can walk to the Palm Plaza Shopping Mall and all restaurants. The a bus stop across the street if you wish to travel downtown. You are in the heart of everything Aruba has to offer.
I have a private chef for hire to cook for you. You can walk to almost everything. This house is in a very nice area in Aruba.
What a great house. Close to everything, clean, and would recommend to everyone with a big family or a bunch of couples. Will be back again
This house is close to everything . Short walk to beach less then 5 min. Walk to mall and shopping area less then 10 min.
this was our second trip to Aruba and second time renting this house. We love it and will never stay anywhere else! Owner is easy to deal with and caretaker is wonderful. House is huge, clean and has everything we could possibly need. Great neighborhood and great location. We plan to return to Aruba and this house every year!!!! One Happy Island! One Great House! Thanks Barbara Thanks George!
I was in a group of 7 that stayed here from Jan 24 to Feb 10. I must say that before our arrival I was almost fed up with the service I was getting from Barbara Stillman, taking a long time to answer my email questions or not answering at all and then I had to call her direct. We got billed twice and had to be refunded one amount which ended up in additional money because of the US exchange rate. However once we got into the house and met George and his wife Merci (caretakers of the property) I was quite pleased. George dealt with the few problems we had in the beginning very promptly. They were both pleasant and easy to deal with and were always professional. The house was very nice, pool & patio area being the best feature. A negative would be the internet was only available in the kitchen. The walk to the beach was accurate however if you wanted to get some variety in restaurants at reasonable prices and some shopping spots you had to walk at least 15 minutes. Taxis were very affordable and bus service was reliable so we didn't need to rent a car. We had an ant problem the 2nd week, I recommend not putting food of any type on the counters, as soon as George received our frantic call he was there within minutes clearing up the problem, and the ants never came back. Wonderful vacation, the house is definitely worth it.
Previous posts made this house appear ideal but that wasn't our experience. First, it was difficult to reach the owner, particularly with concerns afterward. Our family (8 adults, 4 kids) was very excited for our Christmas/retirement trip for our dad and justly, we looked at all the travel boards and turned to the owner of the house for local referrals - activities, places to eat, etc.- thinking she'd have great advice, seeing as how she's been going to Aruba her whole life... nope. What I got repeatedly was, "Ask George." There's a book of business cards in kitchen but nothing cohesively put together for the guests, like other properties we've stayed at. George is her caretaker/chef for hire/chef @ the Marriott and he was also difficult to get hold of, given his busy holiday schedule. Since 1/2 our party was in Aruba prior to house stay, my husband contacted owner days in advance to see if we could get into property @ 12:30, ahead of reg 3:00 check in and Barbara agreed, gave us the code and said George would meet us then. We walked into a home clearly not guest-ready: hose inside entry way, buckets of chemicals, piles of linens in living room, dirty rag by the sink, dishes not put a way, cutting board on floor, a dirty cup of beverage, dirty linens on clothesline, bags of garbage by the pool & a bin of dirty towels in master bathroom. George, who did not arrive until 2:30, did not comment on whether or not Barbara had informed him of our early arrival. He cleaned up a bit, though my sister had to remind him to grab the trash, and took approx 15 mins explaining house functions and told us 1/2 the house didn't have hot water but they were waiting for a guy. George collected the fee the site says you are to pay him on arrival and left. When we still didn't have hot water over 24 hrs later, he was called. Best part of this house is it's size, despite a strange layout, and the pool. Photos should be updated as house is now yellowy/brown/beige, lush palm tree by pool is a stump, plaster is falling off side of house, fallen palm branches around pool, water damage inside, peeling doors, broken tv remote, mediocre wifi, general neglect. On the last day, George arrived with 2 women, who sat on front patio for over an hour without explanation. We expected more professionalism. Email me for further ?? Pics avail, all correspondence w/owner. Not worth it - save your $ for oceanfront hotel - we wished we'd never left Manchebo Beach Resort.
We stayed here for a family vacation in February. We had 9 people in total, 6 adults and 3 kids. The house was perfect. Large enough for us all with room to spare. Having our own private pool to enjoy was great after a day at the beach or travelling around the island. The house is located in a great spot. The other reviews were right, 5 minute walk to the beech. 10 minute walk to the strip with shops and restaurants.
If you are planning on renting a house for your next vacation in Aruba, I would highly recommend this property.
Thank you Barbara for a stress free booking, and thank you George for your hospitality upon arrival.
