Off-street parking for four. The beach is straight out the front door 1 1/4 blocks away. We are the seventh house from the Atlantic Ocean yet on a canal to the bay on the bay side of coastal highway. Near Fenwick, Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, & Ocean City. Walk to the shops of York Beach for McCabe's Market, Misaki Sushi, Grotto's Pizza and more. Bring your boat to our 32' dock or rent one. Crab & fish from the dock, or relax on the private deck with a new gas grill, table & chairs, umbrella & lounge chairs. Second floor screened porch has a view of the canal. The canal access to Little Assawoman Bay and Assawoman Bay including the Fenwick Island restaurants like Catch 54 all the way to Ocean City and the Atlantic. Canal access to Indian River and Rehoboth Bays including the restaurants of Dewey beach. 4 Bedrooms, 2 Full baths plus an outside shower, sleeps 10. Linens/towels not provided but available locally for rent or bring your own. Off Season Weekend Packages available. Note we only rent from Saturday to Saturday in the season; June thru August. We have been going to the Delaware beaches all our lives and purchased this property in 2004. We rent it some and use it the rest of the time.

Why Patrick Armstrong chose South Bethany
It has one of the best locations in the area. Sure you can have beach front but the nearest marina is 5 miles away. On the other hand most homes with a dock and quick bay access are far from the beach. In this area beach side is only one block deep, a few blocks north and beach side is 2 or 3 blocks deep and bayside is 3 to 6 blocks deep yet further from the bay. This also means more people on the beach in those areas. Just the perfect spot.
What makes this House unique
In our town to drive to the beach you need a parking pass. The only way to buy a pass is to own property or rent from the owner. At first this doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is. To get on the mile long South Bethany Beach you must own or rent a property. So our beaches are uncrowded even in the peak season. Unlike other crowded towns that anyone can park and go to the beach. Skip the crowds and rent from us!

My husband and I enjoyed vacationing with our cousins at your lovely home.
We had a great time vacationing in your Bethany Beach home. The location is perfect for visiting all the beaches and boardwalks in the area. We had everything we needed to cook meals. One suggestion I have is the addition of pot holders. It is not something you think to bring but very essential when cooking.
Walk to the beach, cozy, clean and responsive!
Spacious home with all the fixings. We loved our stay. The large sunny deck and dock were perfect. The kids caught crabs right off the dock. The house is well maintained and very clean. The beds seemed brand new. We walked to a sushi place about a block south one night and dined in Bethany Beach at The Parkway Restaurant another. Both were excellent. Plenty of beach chairs. One of the best things was the kids could walk back to the house for the bathroom or lunch and we didn’t even have to get off the beach. It is so Is was an October weekend yet warm. We hope to return in the summer!
OCTOBER VACATION IN BETHANY BEACH
We really enjoyed our stay! It was a perfect place for our family of 7 to stay. The location was great ( close to the beach and restaurants). Patrick was really accommodating with our needs and responded very quickly! If you are looking for a great place to stay to make wonderful memories with your family , this is the perfect place. We kayaked to the bay from the dock to watch the sunset and walked to the beach to see the sunrise and moon rise with amazing views!

great place to enjoy the water
The four bedroom unit was clean and well equipped. There were ample dishes, glasses, utensils etc. Each bedroom had it's own tv as well as one in the living room which could access netflix and other providers, giving us access to shows we like to watch. The unit is close to the beach which is just a short walk away. If you prefer to drive there are beach parking passes as well. In addition we were close to restaurants and a great fish store which will steam buckets of clams for you.
The absolutely best part was the access to the canal. We rented a kayak and spent every morning on the canals exploring the nature preserve. Herons and egrets abound and made each day a delight.
All six of us enjoyed the house, the screened in porch, the feeling of space and the location. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be in the Bethany area.,
111 Tern was very clean and wonderfully convenient to the beach. It was a second house for our large family so we were only there to sleep. The kitchen seemed to be well appointed, the air worked well, the beds were comfortable. There is one bathroom for 3 bedrooms downstairs, and one bed and bath upstairs. For parents and kids, it’s perfect. For couples, it meant some had to go up and down stairs to share the upstairs bath, but it worked out. The porch is not air conditioned but most mornings it wasn’t too hot. We didn’t crab or kayak, but it would be a great spot for both, being on the canal.

Close to Bethany (1mile), Rehoboth Beach (10 Miles), Fenwick Island (4 miles), Ocean City (10 miles), Baltimore (162 miles), Wilmington (97 miles), Philadelphia (130 miles), Washington, (130 miles). Via air Ocean City Airport 25 minutes south, Baltimore-Washington International (130 miles). Other Activities: Skim Boarding, Crabbing, Boating, Running, surfing, boating

We typically only rent Saturday to Saturday in the summer. Off season whenever! 8% South Bethany Beach Tax added. For multiple week rentals we'll provide a free cleaning on every Saturday.
