Amazing location! Spacious and beautiful apartment!
Perfect for my son’s wedding weekend! Five of my family loved the spaciousness and the incredible location. Watching boats float down Singel canal and walking everywhere was exactly what we wanted. We were 3 bridges (about 4 blocks) from Soho House which was where we needed to be a lot. The bathroom situation is fine once you figure it out. It’s Amsterdam not the 🇺🇸 so plumbing is different but fine. Washer and dryer are great to have but they take longer than home so plan ahead. Albert Heijn is 3 blocks, too. Very well equipped and great to be ground level and below ground is good for sleep. Loved it — would do it again any time!
Clean and good location
Smooth process, clean, good location
Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location
We stayed in this beautiful apartment at the beginning of June 2019. It is spacious and well appointed. The check in was thorough and we really appreciated the information booklets regarding the apartment, city and restaurants. I have to say it was the most detailed check-in we've ever encountered. I loved having a washer & dryer at our disposal. The neighborhood and apartment building was nicely quiet. It was also convenient to have a grocery store within walking distance. We felt very comfortable and at home.
Location, location, location!
We loved our four nights in this Amsterdam apartment, so perfectly located on a quiet street by a major canal, within easy walking distance to sights, cafes, stores, etc. The spacious living room with huge windows and an amazingly high ceiling was bright and airy. The kitchen was well equipped and well supplied. The bedrooms are not "even" so if you are traveling as two couples, you need to have a way to decide who gets which bedroom. That said, even the basement bedroom was comfortable. The plumbing is a bit quirky; there is no hot water in the tiny sink in the downstairs bath. To keep the water from getting into the toilet area, you need to use towels to construct a "towel dam." BUT the location and the spaciousness and the attentiveness of the owner make those quirks worth tolerating. If we return to Amsterdam, we would rent this again.
The apartment was spacious and well equipped-perfect for two couples travelling together. Within easy walking distance of food and attractions. Beware the bikes!

Great location & space/decor. Poor bathroom facilities.
The downstairs shower/toilet is an awkward arrangement which involves going through the shower stall/room to access the toilet. The toilet area contains a very small wash basin with only cold water which is not conducive to a comfortable shave for anyone using a safety razor. If you are using an electric razor (or a hair dryer) you'll need a battery powered device, or you'll have to find someplace else to shave because there are no electrical outlets in the bath area. This is probably a good thing because when using the downstairs shower room, the vestibule floor (which you must pass through to get into the shower) and the toilet area (just beyond the shower room) both flood causing a potential safety issue. Also, the shower floor is exceptionally slippery when wet and represents a potential safety hazard. In lieu of access to a rubber safety mat, we found it useful to lay a towel down on the shower floor. We also used rolled-up towels to try to block some of the shower water from running under the two wooden doors onto the adjacent floors which had no drains. "Cleaning up" after using the downstairs "shower room" was an arduous process even though a large squeegee was provided to facilitate pushing the floor-water slightly uphill to the shower drain. Although the upstairs shower stall exhibited the same tendency to "flood" the bathroom floor, guests can use the bathtub instead of the shower - an alternative which is not available in the downstairs bath. Use of the handrails when going downstairs is a "must" given that the stairs are quite steep. We found one of the two handrails pulled loose from the wall, but we reported it to the unit’s owners and it was quickly repaired that same day. In summary, this unit has the potential to be a great "home away from home" but the bathrooms need some modification to meet that mark.
