Wake up each morning to enjoy breathtaking views of Puget Sound and Mount Baker in this cozy recently remodeled cabin. Walk one block to a quiet, private beach or sit on the large deck and enjoy a book. This house is located on the north west side of the island so it receives lots of sun light and has beautiful sunsets. The house is on a quiet street, sits on nearly two acres and is surrounded by apple, pear and plum trees. There is a convenience store and gas station within three blocks.
Camano Island is just one hour by car from Seattle (south) or Bellingham (north). Camano is one of only a few Islands in Island County that you can access without taking a ferry. There is an 18 hole golf course within ten minutes and a boat launch within five minutes of the property. Popular activities include strolling on the beach, kayaking and bird watching. Camano Island has several restaurants and is 10 minutes from Stanwood which offers shopping, bowling and movie theatres.
Camano Island is sheltered by Whidbey Island on the west side and is known for being in the Olympic rain Shadow with only 17 to 20 inches of rain per year...one of the Northwest's banana belts.
The cabin is fully stocked with DVDs, books, board and video games. One bedroom has bunk beds, upstairs is a queen size bed and the second bedroom/game room has a Futon that becomes a full size bed. The property has cable TV and High Speed Internet.

The only problem I had was the living room furniture was uncomfortable . Other than that I will be back .
Our family rented this cabin for a celebration of life in the area. We were blessed by seeing eagles, a rainbow over the water and birds fishing. We loved the ladybugs in the cabin . Only things we would of changed about the cabin , would of been nice to have doors on bedrooms and the water bed upstairs. Overall very happy and will rent again .
We have stayed multiple times and will enjoy coming back! Short walk to the beach and very friendly neighbors/locals. Fruit trees and blackberry bushes next door, and outside seating on front deck. Washer and dryer a plus! and all kitchen supplies available for cooking.
From booking to departing and every day in between, I was taken care of with zero stress. Plesently suprised with all the little things I found handy and stocked while here. Can openers and pans, towels and blankets, even sandwich bags to ensure a seem less picnic plan was not inturupted with the minor details. We loved the beach access, local culture was positive and quiet neighborhood. Relaxed, enjoyed and looking forward to a repeat.
(Side note small details that stood in the way of a five star Rating: the clutter found on the front deck at check in, the Blue ray player with only DVDs to play in it, lack of screens to cool the house after a day at the water.)
This is a great place for a getaway to Camano Island, especially if you are hoping to truly "get away!" It is in a quiet neighborhood at the northwest end of the island, with just a short stroll to the water. You will unwind and relax as you sit in the living room, looking out over the scenic views of the boat traffic on the waters of Saratoga Passage and Skagit Bay, and Whidbey Island across the way. A bit on the rustic side (think country cabin), this is a place that has all that you need, and nothing you don't. Comfy and cozy, a perfect escape when that's what you need. The location is also convenient to most of the island's main services (shopping centers, restaurants), and just 10 minutes from the city of Stanwood, where you will find even more options for shopping and dining. Also nearby are the great uncrowded State and public parks on Camano, all worth a visit. And one of the best features of Camano: no ferries to wait for! Highly recommended! Book your stay soon.
The point of my trip was to get together with a bunch of friends and stream some UFC fights, so the nice TV and internet access was great. The place was cool and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. This wasn't an issue for us but the upstairs loft (and master bedroom) did not have a door, and the walls were thin. The surrounding area is nice but little public areas within walking distance.
The owner was very prompt with his responses and the refund came quickly.
Camano Island is about one hour north of Seattle. It is one of the only Islands in the San Juans that you can reach by car. No Ferry is needed.
