Tom's place is simply great, the location and view are perfect for a relaxing retreat on a superb stretch of beach. The whirlpool tub in the basement bathroom was a super way to end the day of strolling along the beach and visiting local attractions such as Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the Aquarium, and The Rogue Brewery. There are three sets of stairs in the house and one is open with no rail, this was a little nerve wracking with an adventurous toddler but everything else was fine. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of board games and DVD's for the older children to participate in. The deck was great to watch the surfers and sunset. We will certainly stay here again. Thanks Tom!
Sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee & the evening with a glass of wine was so relaxing and beautiful. The location is perfect with so much to do and see close by. We just loved being able to bring our dog with us--made it even more special. We had everything we needed and had a wonderful time! Make sure to walk down into the Devil's Punchbowl--must go at low tide.
My boyfriend, his 6-year old daughter, my little old pug and I took a quick 2-night trip to Otter Rock for 4th of July, and we are so glad we chose Tom's home. The views from the deck are absolutely stunning, and it's a short trip down a nice little tree-lined path to the beach. The house has plenty of room for more people, so we were more than comfortable just the 3 of us. The kitchen was very well stocked with supplies, which was perfect, because my boyfriend loves to cook. Some rentals are missing things like measuring cups and containers for leftovers, but this kitchen had everything we needed. Tom was very responsive and gave us all the info we needed to enjoy our stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the house is 3 stories tall, so if you have mobility issues where stairs would be a problem for you, you would want to choose another home. Otherwise, choose this one and you will not be disappointed! Thanks so much, Tom. We will be back! -Lori from Portland, OR
Your rental is a true piece of heaven on earth! The area is an amazing taste of Oregon's natural beauty. With all the comforts one might need to enjoy themselves at the rental we never ate out at restaurants. We did pick up some of "Gracie's" award winning clam chowder to enjoy right from the rental with our views. I was wore out daily from the many activities laid upon us ...such as endless beachcombing for one. Agates, Peregrine Falcons with babies, eagles, whales, ghost forests, lighthouse's, international chainsaw competition in Reedsport, Thor's well, Newport and all the natural beauty one could absorb. The list goes on and on. From sunrise to sunset it's a hard place to be bored. The rental is the cherry on top!!! Thank you for the opportunity to explore your rejoin of beauty. A sweet stroll south of the rental finds a easy path to the beach as you pass a small tasty waterfall only to find another small tidal waterfall splashing onto the beach. We had a wonderful campfire amongst the wash up timbers on the beach along with another outstanding sunset.
I could go on and on as there are adventures up and down the coast. I only hope to find a slot to rent this piece of heaven again. I need a high tide at sunset for Thors well , so I will be trying to operate around the tides and the date.
Tom thank you so very much for making your home available. I do have to apologize for leaving a pizza in the oven ( oven was off) the pizza was to be our lunch later and I hope it didn't cause a problem for the next lucky renter.
again THANKYOU so much.

Perched halfway up a hill with a great view of the beach, this is a house we'd love to revisit someday. Very clean and cozy. Great host, great location.
This Secluded beach front house is perfect if you want breath taking views, with over 6 miles of sandy beaches. Have a beach fire right in front of the house. Enjoy the local wine while you watch Whales from the deck. Golf at one of the many courses nearby. Go fishing or crabbing. Enjoy the tide pools or a forest walk. See eagles, sea lions, or the many birds. Go for a bike ride or just lay back and read a book and enjoy the sounds of the waves. As they say........location, location, location.......
