Light, Bright & Airy Ranch (3 Houses from the Beach & Boardwalk!)

Bedrooms 3
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

One floor living with 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6

With its cathedral ceiling and skylights, this well-kept beach bungalow offers ranch-style living, all on one floor, with just a single step into the entrance. And only three houses from the brand new Boardwalk, you'll find the most pristine wide stretch of white sand beach you'll ever see - raked and cleaned daily.

Situated on a dead-end, with a mixture of year-round residents and renters, "Beachcomber Lane" is perhaps the most desirable lane nearest the beach. One of the few lanes wide enough to drive a car down to unload luggage and groceries, it is also one of the few to offer both private parking (rare!) and private access to the beach and boardwalk via a locked gate. (Please note: this particular rental includes four beach badges and a designated parking space for one car.) Beachcomber Lane is also situated at the halfway point - halfway between the boardwalk and the Inlet. Turn right and walk to the boardwalk with its lively bars, games and rides - or turn left and discover the quieter "Inlet", where you can watch the boats come in, or relax at the Tiki Bar with a beer and pizza while listening to the sounds of acoustic music. It's your choice - join the crowds or get some relief, without giving up easy access to everything Point Pleasant Beach has to offer.

Everything is within easy walking distance from this convenient beach house. There are party fishing boats, bike rentals, and lots of terrific bars and restaurants nearby. It's a five minute drive to Point Pleasant's charming downtown, or a nice long flat walk, if you have the desire. You can pass the train station...or hop aboard! Local stops (about 20 minutes) include the uber-hip town of Red Bank and live entertainment at The Count Basie Theater, or, if you're feeling lucky, visit beautiful Monmouth Park Racetrack - it's a great way to spend an afternoon! Downtown, you'll find antique emporiums with collectibles that will appeal to both serious buyers and browsers alike, trendy boutiques for young and old, consignment shops, home decor and, of course, lots of local souvenirs. Sprinkled throughout the downtown are Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, American, Sushi and Seafood restaurants, as well as gourmet delis, bagel shops, and great places to grab breakfast, lunch or a coffee. At night, take in a headliner comedy show, share a pitcher of sangria and a dance, or grab a hamburger and fries...all within the downtown.

Wanna drive a little further? 'Premium Outlets', just 10 minutes away, includes stores such as Coach, Uggs, J.Crew, Adidas, Michael Kors, and more. And Atlantic City with its casinos, and top-name entertainment is just a sixty minute ride.

Following the heartbreak of Hurricane Sandy, this house underwent proper remediation, with total clean-up, treatment, and a major renovation in 2013. (Please note: The house is now smoke-free and absolutely no pets are allowed.) The cheery interior has a full kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, a full laundry room and a powerful "full house" a/c unit, plus cable TV, VCR, a stereo and DVD player.

Bedroom #1 has a full size bed and closet. Bedroom #2 has a new oak futon that converts into a double bed with a regular inner spring mattress and a small TV. Bedroom #3 offers a full size bed. There are two sofas in the living room, including one that pulls out into a full-size bed. The fully equipped kitchen has a large table and chair set, new granite countertops, new ivory cabinets with 'soft close' drawers, a refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee pot, plus all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you'll need. The beautifully tiled bathroom has a large walk-in shower (no tub), and for your convenience, a separate laundry room provides a full size washer and dryer plus additional hanging space for your clothing. Although outside space is limited, there is a gas grill for barbecuing.

So, come! Bring your family...kick back and relax! Enjoy a great vacation at Point Pleasant Beach, where there's truly something for everyone!

the best beach house!!!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely LOVED this beach house. Everything about our vacation was perfect and it all started with this house. It is 3 houses from the beach, and with three small kids and lots of beach gear, it couldn't have gotten any easier traveling to/from the beach. It's a super quiet street and also super close to all of the great attractions in Pt Pleasant. Excellent places to eat nearby too, thanks to the recommendations from the owner. The house has everything you need. We will definitely be back again! My kids made memories that they will remember forever. Thank you Bob and Sheri!

Amazing vacation week

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a week at this beach house and couldn't be happier. The house is spotless, well maintained and extremely comfortable. Just steps from the boardwalk but quiet and peaceful on this little street. Everything was just perfect! Saw the fireworks right outside the house. We will definitely come back! Thank you Bob and Sheryl, it was great meeting!

Lovely Beach House!

  • 5 of 5

I Couldn't resist adding to my review because I can't get over the fact that when we got home my daughter couldn't find a jacket of hers. She was so upset about this jacket and wondered if she in fact had left it at the beach house! Well I asked Bob if anyone had found it. They looked into it for us and within days the cleaning woman had found it AND RETURNED IT TO MY DAUGHTER BY MAIL!! We could not be happier with that. How many times have you ever gone to a hotel and forgotten something there to have it found and mailed back??!! Never I'm sure. How refreshing an experience it was for me

Wonderful Beach House!!

  • 5 of 5

Great stay in this Beach House! My family and I loved it so much we stayed here last year and then again this year! When booking it again we all agreed we wanted to stay in this house because its very Beachy! Its open and cheerful. Bob and Sherry are very hospitable. The street is private clean and open. Great location in relation to boardwalk and rides...Its a bit quieter after a full noisey day at beach and rides...when tidying up or just putting on a pot of coffee makes you happy in this beach house, you know its a home run! About Robert Verrilli

Bob and Sheri graduated high school together, and have been happily married for 35 years, with two children. When not enjoying the beach with their family, they live on 3.5 acres in the country with four goats, nine chickens, and Charlie, their dog.

Why Robert Verrilli chose Point Pleasant Beach

We rented this house ourselves for 18 years from the original owners who were friends of ours. Each year, when we'd come with our children, parents, family and friends (many of whom are now long gone), we'd make such wonderful memories that the place always felt like our second home - so, it was a happy coincidence that one year during our stay, we discovered it was for sale. With its fabulous location and comfortable layout, and knowing the pride our friends had always taken in their home, our desire to buy it was a no-brainer. Of course, we then had to beg, borrow and steal to make our dream come true, but somehow (we still don't know how), we did it!

And then came Sandy.

The storm's devastation was just as horrific (even more so) than everything you'd heard and seen, yet, amidst the tears, the endless help and incredible generosity of volunteers, young and old - strangers we had never met - renewed our faith in mankind.

A year later, our little house was ours again. To say that we feel truly blessed is an understatement. We are so grateful to the lovely people that we continue to meet and communicate with, including you...our wonderful renters! We hope that you will make our home your home during your stay, and create your own magical memories here at our favorite beach with your own family!

What makes this cottage unique

1. Waking up, throwing on a pair of sweats and walking to the Inlet with a cup of coffee to watch the boats go out in the morning.

2. Knowing that you have at least one parking space when all the parking lots around are full.

3. Leaving your chairs and stuff on the beach and running home to go to the bathroom or grab a drink.

4. Walking up to the boardwalk with your kids in their jammies to watch the fireworks at night.

5. Holding hands and walking on the beach!
