Hale Hokuu Too, is a fabulous ocean front home located in Poipu Beach on Kauai's popular south shore between the Small Boat Harbor and Spouting Horn (Blow Hole) which can be viewed right from the house and the back yard and house.

As you enter this fabulous split level designer furnished home, you will be greeted by fantastic ocean views through an entire ocean side of windows and sliding glass doors (15' high X 25' wide of Glass). This home features vaulted ceilings and sky lights. The house is decorated with up scale furniture along with chandeliers, antiques and a 10' huge custom sectional sofa. Sandy swim beach just one minute walk out the front door.

Great room, loft, poolside family room with Queen Size Murphy bed with private door and bathroom (Our 4th bedroom).

This is a fabulous split level designer home. We have a private lanai off the main floor master bedroom with its own bathroom and another lanai off the 'Great Room'. All the rooms through out the home and including the lanais offer spectacular ocean views. This beach home is gated and secured with lava rock walls requiring a key both to enter and exit the property.

Hale Hokuu TOO, your exquisite tropical beach home featuring 3 air conditioned bedrooms, plus pool/garden room with murphy bed and door for privacy ( Can be used as the 4th bedroom if needed) 3.5 bathrooms, lush gardens everywhere, with a pool just 20 feet from the water's edge. The designer kitchen features all the best new appliances along with granite counter tops, a center island for cooking done in wood block, tile flooring and ceiling fans through out the home. This home is private and secluded with a great location.

Our third level has ocean views over looking the 'Great Room' and is set up for Hi - Speed or Wireless Internet and Stair climber to exercise on.

Pool/Garden level offers another large family room, wet bar /full bath/with queen size murphy bed with a door for privacy (our 4th bedroom) This second family room with large flat screen TV and just steps to the Pool.

We are located in a quite, safe neighborhood with 1 neighbor on one side, empty lot on the other side with lush landscaping with lots of privacy. Ocean in front of the home and golf course in the back of home. We are not a party town and wish not to be one.

When you lease this home, you assume full responsibility for it and its contents, as well as your personal property. Always lock the doors when leaving for the day. Lock you automobiles and put away any rental equipment. Any use of rented equipment by guests is strictly at your own risk, liability and could cause you to incur additional expenses if not returned to either the owners bin or the company that they were rented from.

Occupancy: This is restricted to the number of occupants as described in your reservation letter only.

Use of the home for other than strictly family vacation purposes is restricted. Weddings, receptions, parties or functions held on the property are NOT permitted.

We have a pool man and gardener once a week. On occasion we may have a maintenance person on site, which will not affect your privacy.

Paradise Found On Kauai - It's called Hale Hokuu Too!

We've been coming to Kauai for the past 19 years and have stayed in a number of residences along the south shore. Hale Hokuu Too is possibly the most complete rental property we have found. Gale wants her guests to have the best possible experience during their stay. She is attentive to all requests. The main floor living area is spacious with spectacular ocean views. The kitchen is well appointed with new appliances and almost every gadget and tool you could possibly imagine. The pool area is well maintained with plenty of lounges and pool accessories. Used the gas BBQ on a number of occasions. Cooking with an ocean view! So nice to have laundry facilities which are clean and neat. Wifi worked great as well. Used the main A/C unit once (for 20 minutes) in our 15 days because their is nice cross ventilation throughout the house. Weekly yard and pool service the grounds in impeccable order. Housekeeping service during our stay was a nice touch. Plenty of shopping within a 5 minute drive. Living Market is a great source for specialty purchases and Big Save let's you finish all grocery purchases. Long's Drug is a great resource. Try La Spezia in Koloa for great Italian cuisine. Merrimans and Roys 1849 let you splurge for a romantic evening. We've already booked for 2018 - 3 weeks this time because this feels like 'home' to us.

Even better than it looks

The listing promises much and in our experience the promises were fulfilled perfectly. The house is large and the rooms are spacious. The views are magnificent, especially at sunset. The kitchen is well provisioned with dishes and utensils. The bbq grill is large and works well. The beds are comfortable. The location is convenient to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. We highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful Vacation at Hale Hokuu Too

Our family of five stayed at HH2 from 11/7 through to 11/11/17. The house was beautifully situated right on the ocean with a great view of the sunset and the Spouting Horn. The grassed back yard sloped down from the pool to the ocean wall as this was not a beach front home. It was a short walk to a small, protected beach and park where you could easily make a day of sunning and snorkeling there. The house was well equipped and there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there in the kitchen, family room or three bedrooms. You could sleep more folks in different rooms without difficulty. They also had beach chairs and mats, snorkeling equipment, games, and cable TV in most of the rooms. You could not park in the garage however. We made good use of the gas barbeque and grilled a few delicious meals on it. There were plenty of activities on the island that did not require a long drive, unless you want to see Waimea Canyon. We hired a private tour guide with a comfortable van to take us there so it was personalized and not touristy.

There were a few nitpicking things that affected our stay. There were a lot of little signs placed in the kitchen and family rooms telling visitors what they could and could not do. Some light switches were taped off such as a switch to turn on outdoor flood lights that lit up the ocean at night making it pretty to see the waves coming in. Use of air conditioners were also limited during the day which made the house very warm when you came home from a day of activities. We understood the cost of electricity on the island was high but eating meals in a room that was quite warm was a bit unpleasant.

Nonetheless, we highly recommend that anyone looking for a great ocean front home that sleeps a good number of people (up to 8) should stay here.

Spent a week at Hale Hokuu Too with 8 adults and 2 small children for my parent's 60th birthdays. The location was perfect: short drive to shops/stores, short walk to a shaved ice stand, and an even shorter walk to a great beach (super kid-friendly and great snorkling there). The grounds were beautiful: nicely manicured, amazing views, the pool & bbq were a huge plus too. The house was great: it was big enough for our large group to have plenty of space to congregate, as well as, everyone to have their own room. There were also a lot of "extras" that were really nice to have as well: umbrella stroller, high chair, pool toys, beach towels, etc. We never turned on the a/c, just used fans throughout the house and swam in the pool when the house got too hot - and that was fine for us. Gale was attentive and responsive but not overly so in any way. I would recommend this house to anyone heading to Kauai without a second thought.

Everything was exactly as we expected it. The views were great. The beaches were close and we live loved the pool. I loved that Gail called us right away to make sure we got in and give us updates. Don't have second thoughts about renting this. It's terrific!

Unethical Owner, Place is old rundown, will ruin your vacay!

There were many red flags with this owner that I shouldn't have overlook but did. She was not flexible at all, made me pay with pay pal increasing the cost of the rental over $200 on paypal fees she agreed to refund $50 of it which she did not. Our security deposit was $1,050 she refunded $493 only claiming we spent more than $500 in electricity during a 3 day stay. Yes she charges additional per day per usage over $20. This house is a very dated, very old furnishings, needs a total facelift. There is no central AC most rooms are very hot during the afternoon and the 4th bedroom, is really a murphy bed, we couldn't use because there isn't AC.

There are notes all over the house warning if you use more electricity you will be charge, if you disconnect the internet you will be charge, if you unplug the appliances you will be charge, If you loose a key, you will be charge $300. Threatening notes "Don't eat in my couch"

The view is excellent the ocean is right outside the window but the bathrooms are old and we could only get hot water on the master bathroom so all 5 of us had to take turns showering. I never ate there for fear of staining her cheap wood counters. She left notes on not leaving glasses on counter. The dining room table had a cheap plastic table cloth. This is insane. She shouldn't be renting her home if she is this overprotective of her dated old cheap furnishings.

Upon leaving I cleaned that house in fear of loosing my deposit which I did. We felt so unwelcome and afraid to eat or seat on his totally dated cheaply furnished home. Is old and not worth the price we paid.

I am so traumatized by this experience I may never use home away again. We stayed at a 5 star resort in Maui cheaper and better than this place was.

Owner's Response: MY first reaction was to go on the attack and defend myself. I have decided to just list the facts about this horrible guest that wasn't worth the 3 night rental. July 3 at 9pm to July 6 at 10 am My payment policy is a check or to use pay pal which does have a fee involved which does not go to me but goes to them. I always say in my emails that if you want to avoid the pay pal fee please pay with a check. This guest decided to use pay pal fully aware of the fees involved. Their security deposit was $ 1000 plus the pay pal fee. The pay pal fee is not refundable. Pay pal takes their fee out when booked through them immediately. As far as my home being old and ugly, please read the 35 other reviews. Why would I receive so many 5 star ones. The fourth bedroom is described as the pool/garden family room with a queen size murphy bed that can be used as a 4th bedroom with a door for privacy if needed. Notes: We do have notes around the house as a convenience for my guests to make things easier and not more difficult. There are no notes about the electricity usage. The electricity usage is in your reservation letter which I ask all my guests to print out read and sign the first page and mail it with their check. This guest signed her reservation letter and emailed it back to me agreeing with all the terms and conditions. Kauai has the most expensive kw rate in the country and so we do have a weekly allowance that we offer which is more than enough for most people if not all. This couple used more electricity in 2.5 days that most people can use in a month. My housekeeper checks the electrical meter prior to check in and right after check out. They consumed over $500 worth. As stated in the reservation letter and signed and agreed upon, the over usage was deducted from their security deposit and the balance was sent to them within less than a week. I was at my home prior to these people checking in and all of the slip covers were spotless. Housekeeping after their check out had to remove all of them and take them to be cleaned. The house was not left clean as she has stated. We take a lot of pride in our upscale home and its decorations. Of course we do not purchase new furniture every year. My Kreiss Living room couch is 10' x 10' down wrapped and was very expensive. This women is not telling the truth and I feel sorry for anyone else who ends up with them as guests in their home.

We are located 20' from the oceans edge with your own private pool, water views from every room, sandy swimming beach just one min. walk out the front door and air conditioned bedrooms for your sleeping pleasure if needed. Most of the time our wonderful trade winds make living on Kauai quit comfortable. Just Newly Air conditioned

those funds. No refunds are given for late check in or early departure or weather conditions.

Sec. Deposit is due within 7 days of booking and full rent due 180 days prior to arrival.
If booked within the 180 day period then rent is due within 7 days of booking and sec. deposit
is due 30 days prior to arrival.
If using pay pal there would be an additional 5% which is what they charge me. To avoid this
