Fabulous family trip

  • 5 of 5

We would like to thanks Adam for sharing your home with us. Your prompt responses and clear instructions make it fun and easy for us. The house was well stocked with all the amenities that we needed for our 3 day trip and the view was perfect. We went swimming and kayaking. We also caught 7 fishes off the house dock! The boys loved it and wanted to do it again next year!

Herons' Perch is a Cat's Meow

  • 5 of 5

Imagine strolling down a blue path to a covered dock where fishing is abundant with bass whether you're senkoing or cranking off and on from 6am to 830pm in picture perfect weather and listening to Mellencamp's Pink Houses on your earbuds. Then imagine a sparking yellow lakefront home with breathless views of California's largest natural freshwater lake boosting a well stocked kitchen, and generous family-size amenities wherever you look around the property. Our family party of six along with our two dogs were privileged to not imagine.......we lived and experienced the magic of Herons' Perch for 3-nights in July 2016.

Thanks for the memories Adam and Karen.....ain't that America, the home of the free..........big yellow house for family........ooo......ooo.......yeah........be safe........

Great house for large groups!

  • 5 of 5

Adam's house was a perfect getaway for my friends bachelorette party. It had all the amenities you need for a weekend get-away. We loved the dock area and hanging out on the deck with the "monkey bar." He was gracious enough to let us check in early and he communication was very timely. We also were concerned with a stray cat that hung around the house and one of the girls reached out to him after our trip and he kindly got back to her and her concern in a positive way about how the cat is taken care of.

All in all a great get-away for large groups and families that want to escape. We already are talking about coming back next year!

Thanks Adam-

Had a great family weekend.

  • 5 of 5

Our visit was for a family weekend getaway, consisting of Grandparents, Parents, Teenagers a Toddler and an Infant. We spend 100% of our time at the home, we did not move once the cars were parked until it was time to leave. Everyone in our family found the home to be comfortable and the best feature as shown is its proximity to the lake, only a few steps away. The water from the lake was not cold at all, in fact warmer than anticipated. The teenagers did some fishing and caught 6 catfish right of the houses dock. The little ones were thrilled to see deer through our time there.

We never felt crowded at the home, even at breakfast which was the only time we all got together to eat at once. From the kitchen there are little tables to eat sitting on the couch or the patio table to eat with a view. The game room downstairs was great as it kept the kids entertained and separate from a relaxing glass of wine upstairs.

Pros: Location, Entertainment value, Plenty of Firewood, Gas grill readily available, plenty of entertainment*, spacious and cozy. Lastly the owner and care taker of the home were responsive and attentive when needed. Thankfully we did not need anything while at the home but did obtain great information from them to prepare for the trip which made it that much easier.

*Pool table with covers for table tennis/craps/cards, A dart board, puzzles, books, Kayaks ect... enough to keep you busy.

Cons: The only I would want to know prior to visiting the home is the walk to and from the water. There is a steep (paved) drive way/road down, and each time I felt my legs getting exercise. Maybe not the best for someone in a manual wheelchair.

Like every home there are little details that need attention, so I wouldn't expect a "turn key" or luxury filled home. Its a cozy home with a comfortable feel.

Before we left we were already thinking of coming back, that says it all.

Book and Enjoy!

Great Time

  • 4 of 5

The house was very comfortable. It was clean and the beds were comforatable, It had all the amenities needed. I did bring extra toiletries. The dock worked very well for our pontoon boat and jet ski's. It accomidates alot of people which we need because we have so many family and friends that come up through the week. This is our second time staying there and hope to go again depending on the water in the lake. We went to a great restaurant Richmond Bar and Grill which I would highly recommend going at least once. They had some one pick up garbage mid week, which was awesome. What you see is what you get on the web site. I really loved how little we had to do to exit the property do dishes put them away dirty towles on the bathroom floor and leave bedding on bed. Take out garbage no cleaning and go. Loved It

Quiet ,serene, relaxing .

  • 4 of 5

Adam's place was great for a large group . We had 10 people for a family reunion . The house is comfortably set up with plenty of chairs and sofas situated so people can have group conversation ,intimate talks , or time alone to read or doze . The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans, bowls ,plates, utensils. You only need to bring food . The lake was perfect . There is a barbecue on the upper deck and the firepit down by the lake was a pleasant place in the evening to roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories .
