About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, 1 half Bathroom, Sleeps 8-9, Outside Shower

Our home is in an awesome location! We are 600' from Ferry beach & Camp Ellis beach and 600' from the Saco River, which is literally less than a 2 minute walk with a loaded wagon and children. Once there, the kids will play on boogie boards and wake boards all day. Need a potty trip, no problem; you're less than 2 minutes from home! Low tide is amazing! So much fun walking the beach and finding treasures; sea-glass, starfish, hermit crabs, moon snails, the list is endless. Relax and watch the children build sand castles while the sun keeps you warm and the day slips by, what a way to spend a day! When the day at the beach is over, drag the wagon back, toss the children in the outside shower, and your 'work' is done. Lobster from the local Lobster Pound (1 minute away) or burgers, or chicken on the grill with veggies and clean up is a breeze. Evenings are the best - walk the beach and harbor, rock on the front porch or relax and cook s'mores in the chiminea in our backyard.

You'll never want to go home! : Everything your family needs to have a priceless vacation is right here in Camp Ellis! We have provided what we could to make this inviting, comfortable and memorable. Take pictures! We Want you to Want to come back next summer. Go ahead, sit on the front porch in a rocker with a 'cold one.' Watch the fog roll in, smell the ocean, hear the water lap the sand and listen to your children laugh. That's why year after year, families keep coming back! Experience it, and you will too!

Notes:
Later, s'mores in the chiminea and very tired children! You can buy lobsters, fresh or Cooked from the 'Lobstah Pound' in Camp Ellis. A bit about our home: it was newly remodeled in 2003 and is bright, spacious, beautifully decorated and appointed with just about every amenity! It now includes 2 master suites with private full baths on the 2nd floor and an open concept 1st floor with a new kitchen and an 8ft tiled counter/breakfast bar, downdraft gas cooktop and gas oven. There is a half bath and laundry room on the first floor complete with a laundry sink. We have knotty pine ceilings & walls and hard wood floors throughout - no carpets! The 1st floor is an open design, 'great room' effect. One of the of the nicest features is the large semi-private backyard with gas grill, picnic table, deck on the back of the house and the enclosed outdoor hot and cold shower! We love it here and think you will too!

Beautiful, relaxing location for a memorable family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at this lovely property! It was the perfect location for our family of four, away from the hustle & bustle of the OOB Pier, but still conveniently located nearby everything you could want or need for a lifetime of memories. Sunrise walks along the beach with my daughter, the scent & fresh ocean air from the open doors of our bedroom balcony at night! My son & I were even able to take a five minute walk to the docks to rent a sea kayak, which was a magical & memorable day together we'll never forget! The ice cream truck came right to the house almost every night, and the kids enjoyed walking to the General Store for treats like slushies, ice cream, and sparklers! The house is located in a nice neighborhood, allowing the kids to play in the fenced yard & ride their scooters without a worry. I have to say, when we arrived and discovered the damage erosion has done along the seashore at the end of Lower Beach Rd., we were really upset & disheartened because we thought this was our only beach access, but when my husband took an early morning walk the next day and located Camp Ellis Beach just a two minutes stroll away, we were so relieved and spent hours there every day searching among the rocks for treasures, playing in the sand and boogie boarding in the cold Maine surf! It was invigorating! The beach is small and uncrowded, so it was perfect for our family. We could always keep an eye on our children, and still walk back to the house for lunch. We loved taking the trolley from the end of the street to the Pier- it was an adventure in itself! It saved us the trouble of finding a parking place and having to pay a ridiculous amount for a spot. We were able to use the money we saved on rides, games and at Dickinson's Candy Factory! My husband's mother & sister flew in from California and rented a cute cottage in Old Orchard while we were staying at the Yellow Beach house. The house was so full of amenities, we were able to entertain them during visits, grilling fresh seafood on the gas grill & enjoying potluck dinners together in the kitchen & dining area, and had fun around the chiminea' campfire making

Smores at night. One of my favorite parts of the house is the nook, which was the perfect place for my husband to sit and play his guitar. We have nothing but good memories, and hope to return again & again!

Excellent Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful home, exceptionally clean and easily accommodated 5 adults. It was bright and breezy. The use of space was exceptional. Everyone could gather, whether it was in the kitchen for mealtime, or on one of the great porches for morning coffee. Yet we all had our own sleeping area, television and bathroom. After having stayed here, I'll never book with a hotel/motel again! Thank you for this wonderful week. We will be returning for vacation next fall, if not sooner :)

First vacation away with my kids 4th of July week

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for allowing my family to enjoy your home. It was in a very convenient location for access to the main roads, beach, fishing, food and a general store all within minimum walking distance.

I went with a couple of teenage and grade school children and couldn't have been more happy with all that came with the home. There were enough beach chairs, towels and outside toys for all....bonus....the soccer ball!

I, myself enjoyed the bedroom with the balcony. Not a fan of the 330am birds but the fresh air with the door opened all night was a bonus.

Scott and Robyn are very generous people and I deeply thank you for opening your home to be enjoyed by my family.

I grew up in Saco and my family came back for a 2-week vacation and family reunion. The house was beautiful and we wanted for nothing. The kids (5-year and two teenagers) played in the back yard and we spent every day at the beach and most nights either on the front porch or at the fire pit in the back of the cottage. I cannot remember a better vacation and we hope to be back in 2016. Thank you Robin and Scott for letting us spend our vacation at your beautiful yellow beach house!

Best Ever summer rental

  • 5 of 5

Stayed first week of August. Was beyond my expectations. Have rented a lot of places in Maine, Saco area, this by far the best. Very spacious and well equipped. Landlords couldn't be easier or nicer to work with. Would rent again in a heartbeat.😎😄

Great rental, had a great time. Have Rented many places over the years in Saco and this by far has been the best. The landlords could not have been nicer and more accomodating. House was beyond fully stocked. Great location. Would rent again in a heartbeat.
