Awesome place to stay!!

We were so happy with this condo on Maui. Our first time to the island and Kaanapali was beautiful, made even more so by staying here at the Whaler. The unit is ocean view and we had both breakfast and lunch on the balcony enjoying the view! This place has everything you need, from kitchenware to beach chairs. The king size bed was comfy and there were many pillows to choose from which was nice given I like them mushy and my husband like them firm lol. The property is well cared for and professionally managed. The front desk staff were very friendly and the valet person always ready to get your car. We loved the beach and walked each morning for an hour, another bonus. Cindy was easy to get ahold of when we had a question while there and we sensed she cared about our stay. We would choose to stay here again, no question!! Thanks Cindy.

Wonderful from the start!!!

My husband and I stayed 2 weeks at the Whaler #264. It was great from the first contact email with Cindy. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We have stayed in other condos at the Whaler and we will for sure stay here again. Condo is very comfortable, the king size bed in comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels, beach chair, boogie boards etc. Thank you so much to Cindy and Lesley for sharing your home with us. All check in, TV and laundry directions were easy to use and very helpful. The return of our deposit was quick as well. We will be back!!!

Awesome Condo!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Whaler#264. The view is incredible. Cindy was so helpful in all aspects of the booking. She was always quick to respond and kept me in the loop regarding everything about the condo. The location can't be beat. Right next to Whaler's Village mall and super close to some really great places to eat - I love the Hula Grill and Island Vintage Coffee. I would definitely stay in 264 during my next trip to West Maui.

Thank you to Cindy and Lesley for a great stay at the Whaler. The apartment was immaculately clean and in great condition with all the amenities, comfortable bed huge bed, great kitchen with all appliances and utensils you could need, great TV for winding down at night etc. The view was spectacular overlooking the gardens and the ocean, whilst reading or having a meal. The Whaler was a great complex to stay at with helpful and very friendly staff. I had never used VRBO before, and Cindy was absolutely fantastic and easy to deal with and so very helpful. It was a really pleasure staying in their apartment. Thank you so much Cindy and Lesley, we would definitely love to come and stay again as it was the highlight of our trip.

Cleanliness + Details. This unit exceeds all expectations.

If you've ever stayed in any other vacation rental, you know how aware you can be of a lack of cleanliness and a lack of the things that make you comfortable in your own home. So many of the other reviews have focused on the cleanliness of this unit and how easy it is to deal with Cindy. Yes. I share those views. And as others have written, the Whaler itself is a beautiful and secure facility and located on a family friendly stretch of beach. Since others have written about them, I'd like share a list of the details specific to this unit that made me feel comfortable and that I've missed in other rentals.

1. The tub/shower has a wand.

2. The tub/shower has a ledge where one can rest a foot. Combined with #1, it makes it so much easier to shower for this older body.

3. Although there is one wash basin, the counter top is big enough for two people to groom at once.

4. The closet is big with shelves and drawers and space for luggage. This is the first time we've ever had more than enough hangers.

5. The kitchen has the right tools for actually cooking.

6. All the kitchen appliances feel new and fresh and up-to-date.

7. The king bed feels really new and is very comfortable.

8. There are a range of pillows to suit every preference. I like 'em thick and firm and rarely find what I want even at luxury downtown hotels. The Whaler 264 has got 'em.

9. The flat screen is about as big (44" class?) as the space can hold. It was plenty big enough for us. It was a Samsung with a very bright picture.

10. A BluRay player, not just a DVD is provided. There's also cable of course.

11. The cable based Internet service is fast enough for anything you'd want to do. Much better than DSL. It's complementary (included) of course.

12. Great view of the Whaler gardens and Black Rock. (Often gives a rainbow in the morning).

13. Substantial upholstered pieces for sitting.

I'm sure others would have their own list. But these are the things that keep us coming back.

There is a Resort fee of $16 per day which is paid directly to The Whaler upon check-out. **Effective April 1, 2017 the Resort fee will increase to $17 per day & Effective June 1, 2017 the Resort fee will increase to $20 per day** This is a non-smoking property.

Rates are for double occupancy only. Add $10/night/extra guest (3 guest maximum). $300 reservation/security deposit due at booking ($500 during holiday/winter months). 45 day cancellation required for full refund. Full payment due 30 days prior to arrival.
