Overview

About the property

Penthouse flat with kitchen, bathroom .. fully furnished. Capacity 4 people

Penthouse very bright, newly renovated, situated in the historical center of Toledo, in an amazing century palace XV with Patio Toledano retains interesting architectural elements of the time.

Very quiet building, since it is located in one of those so typical alleys and exclusive characterize this city.

It has a large window that runs around the apartment, which makes him very happy. It consists of internet, television, microwave, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, sheets and towels.

Very quiet area, next to the emblematic street Pozo Amargo, star of one of the most moving and beautiful legends of Toledo.

Located five minutes from the cathedral, the heart of the city, from where you can access all areas of interest such as the famous Casa del Greco, impressive mosques, Zocodover Square and all the churches and monasteries that populate this medieval city, and enjoy its winding alleyways where we can lose and transport us in time.

Two minutes from the river where you can enjoy a wonderful and peaceful walk up the side of the Tagus is also located, and see how the river draws a nice meander their way through this great city.

The cuisine that Toledo offers very wide and varied, the whole city is strewn with charming little bars and restaurants that delight their pedestrians, where you can taste the rich and varied gastronomy Toledana.

At night we will enjoy incredible places glasses as the Circle of Art, an authentic Mudejar church converted into a bar where you can have drinks or attend live concerts.

Small but all facilities were provided

  • 5 of 5

A small studio apartment but neatly organised. Perhaps a little warm if you're there on a hot afternoon, but there is air con if required. Marina provided some milk, a few nice snacks and a small bottle of red wine - very nice!

Tucked away in a quiet location on the edge of the old town, but nothing's far away. Very nice little bar up the hill called El Brocal (EB). We enjoyed Toledo, especially the Easter parade.

Pleasant stay Oct 2016

  • 5 of 5

Very impressed with the owner's service and attention. The apartment is very clean and quiet with all amenities in a good location in the old town. Marina met us at the train station (we would never have found the apartment otherwise). She was also very helpful when we had a minor medical problem. Had a very good meal at her recommended restaurant, the Embrujo. Great apartment for a couple.

Small but comfortable.

  • 3 of 5

The apartment is situated on the 3rd level, within a larger building. It has a single open space with a small kitchenette at one end, fold-out dining table, living area with couch and TV, then the bed at the far end. It is all in a loft space, with exposed beams giving it quite a cute appearance. One wall consists of all windows which gives a view of the roofs of the other parts of the building.

The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom OK. Everything was very clean, and there were good supplies of towels, cooking implements, and condiments. The air conditioning worked well, as did the WiFi internet connection. Unfortunately, the TV stopped working on our first night – it appears that the aerial cable was damaged (probably by builders renovating the floor below). The owner came around immediately to check.

The apartment is inside, but on the edges of, the old town. We drove our car within about 100 metres, then had to carry the bags up a step narrow lane to the apartment. Walking to the town centre starts with an uphill climb.

Toledo is a difficult town to visit. The old town area sits atop a steep hill. Walking around the streets and laneways of the old town is interesting, but not easy due to the steep nature of the ground – there is a steep climb and a similar descent associated with any walk around the town centre.

There is limited access for cars. Residents traverse the narrow lanes and park in a limited number of ‘green zone’ dedicated spots. For visitors arriving by car, the choices are the large free car parks beside the bus and train stations (bus station is best as it is closest to the escalators which take you up the hill to the town centre), or a couple of undercover private stations situated part the way up the hill.

Overall the apartment was adequate for a short stay, but a little too cosy for an extended stay.

Very clean and tidy and all we needed. Comfortable bed and cute and Cosy.

Marion was there to greet us but it was a little difficult with our GPS and understanding where we were supposed to meet at the large bus terminal.

We were able to park the car nearby while we dragged the luggage up a very steep cobble stoned narrow road, typical of Toledo, and up some narrow small steps up to her "penthouse", i. e. top floor.

Toledo was a disappointment as we found most things were closed for Siesta and had to search for a decent restaurant, which we didn't really. Very average paella and my fish was bland and small. I can't have salt in my diet which doesn't help.

As I had been there before my memory had changed as I found it exciting and vibrant. That was 18 years ago though.
