An awesome trail system is located at the end of the street for mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. For the downhill skier - Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Mount Rose, Diamond Peak, and Homewood Ski Resorts are all a short drive away (10-20 minutes). Bockway Golf Course is located approximately one a and a half miles away. Tahoe City and Incline Village are a short ten-minute drive away.

About The Owner

My husband and I grew up and met in Iowa. We wandered west in 1994, landed in Reno and never left. We love the sunny dry climate and mild temperatures. We live in Reno with our two children, dogs and a cat. We explore Lake Tahoe as often as possible and love to ski, hike, backpack, snowshoe, kayak and boat.

The Owner purchased this house in 1999

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

My husband and I fell in love with Lake Tahoe the first time we saw it and are still struck by its beauty every time we arrive. We dreamed of buying a vacation home so we could spend more time exploring Tahoe. We particularly like the north shore, with its quint little shops and restaurants and relaxed atmosphere. Kings Beach offers, in our opinion, the best views of Tahoe. It is in the middle of the north shore with picturesque views of the big, snow covered mountains on the south shore.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great place! We all had a blast in Lake Tahoe. The pellet stove, hot tub and outdoor sound system really enhanced our experience.

Very relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We really loved this property. It was very clean, the bathrooms were all updated and very nice fixtures, the kitchen was very well stocked with the necessities. The pool table is in great shape and the hot tub is very nice. I say all of these things because they are all above average in every respect. Very well maintained and all taken care of carefully. You will love the house!!!

Ronetta does a great job with her suggestions of places to go and the house instructions are easy as well.

Just so a guest will know, you are a little more than a 1/2 mile from the water and there is not a super clear view of the lake. This did not have any negative impact on our trip as we enjoy walked and loved the trees around us as well. We walked the trail that is just at the end of Beaver Street and really liked the walk around downtown.

Restaurants that we enjoyed..... The Log Cabin, best breakfast we have every had- my husband bought a shirt :-)!!! We enjoyed Jason's and the Char-Pit was a huge hit! We did go the 15 minute drive over the Tahoe City and ate at Jake's and it was excellent food, pricey, but worth it for a nice meal. We also did the dinner cruise on the Tahoe Gal in Tahoe City and it was very nice as well.

Wonderful home in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Ronetta's home was perfect for our trip. The location is excellent, close to many mountains, the lake and Tahoe City.

The beds were comfortable and the whole experience was dog friendly, which is exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend her home and plan on visiting again!

Very nice stay!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my friends stayed at Ronetta's for three nights. We loved the place - it's cozy, warm, clean, new and close to the northstar ski resort where we went snowboarding. Hot tub was perfect to relax after a ride day and you can watch sunset while relaxing in the hot tub. We loved the place! Thank you Ronetta!

This is the perfect Tahoe getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This place is really awesome. Kings Beach is both a quaint and charming town and quite possibly the best beach in all of the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Centrally located near all of the other quaint small towns on the north shore it is also close to Northstar, Diamond Peak, Mount Rose, Boreal, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. The accomodations are quintessential Tahoe architecture and location with peek aboo lake and mountain views, gleaming hardwood floors, beautifully furnished and spacious yet comfy and cozy at the same time. It is difficult to find the perfect vacation rental (I have spent countless hours scouring the internet and rented many vacation rentals in Tahoe over the years) and The Beaver Lodge lived up to all of my expectations. With the large deck off the living room featuring beautiful views, BBQ, and hot tub and of course the living room and separate pool table and diniing room with electronic dart board, what more could you want? Just in case that's not enough there is a nice assortment of games in the cabinet but with all of the activities at the house and on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe you probably won't need them. There is also a flat screen TV with cable in every bedroom and of course a large flat screen in the living room along with Wifi. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all the appliances, equipment and supplies you might need. Just bring your suitcase, stop at Safeway once you get in to town to stock the fridge and don't worry.....they thought of everything else.

Something For Everyone!

  • 5 of 5

I came with my family to enjoy nature & the snow. Ronetta's cabin has something for everyone--from the pool table to the darts to the hot tub to the 51" Smart TV. I especially liked the spacious, gourmet chef's kitchen, where we could cook up a storm! The beds were very comfy too. The Beaver Lodge is close to everything: the lake, restaurants, ski shops, Mt. Rose meadows, skiing. There is also a nice trail system at the end of the street. Thank you, Ronetta for sharing your wonderful cabin!
