The fabulous amenities of this home make the Beaver Lodge the perfect retreat for your Lake Tahoe get-away.
My husband and I grew up and met in Iowa. We wandered west in 1994, landed in Reno and never left. We love the sunny dry climate and mild temperatures. We live in Reno with our two children, dogs and a cat. We explore Lake Tahoe as often as possible and love to ski, hike, backpack, snowshoe, kayak and boat.
The Owner purchased this house in 1999
My husband and I fell in love with Lake Tahoe the first time we saw it and are still struck by its beauty every time we arrive. We dreamed of buying a vacation home so we could spend more time exploring Tahoe. We particularly like the north shore, with its quint little shops and restaurants and relaxed atmosphere. Kings Beach offers, in our opinion, the best views of Tahoe. It is in the middle of the north shore with picturesque views of the big, snow covered mountains on the south shore.
What a great place! We all had a blast in Lake Tahoe. The pellet stove, hot tub and outdoor sound system really enhanced our experience.
Great house, great property.
This is a pet friendly home but there is no indication that a pet has ever been here. The property is so new and clean smelling.
The master bedroom is extremely large, the master bath is new with an awesome shower bar with plenty of heat and water pressure. The other two bedrooms are good sized with lots of closet space.
The semi open floor plan kitchen is large with a lot of counter space.
Upgraded flat screen TVs in all bedrooms, and a large flat screen in the living room with a full menu of premium channels to boot.
Great house, great stay. We will be back.
This house had all the qualities we were searching for:
1) great, well equipped kitchen to prepare food for a large group.
2) hot tub that heated up quickly, and comfortable beds
3) and perfect location to either drive to the slopes or walk to the lake.
4) Dog friedly
We'd happily stay here again.
This was a great place to stay in Tahoe. There were only four of us (two adult couples) so we had plenty of room. The two bunk beds in the third room remained open and would have been a great place for a couple of kids. It's a very dog friendly neighborhood and our pups had a great time meeting a number of friendly dogs that were out for walks in the neighborhood. It was very convenient for skiing which we did not get to take advantage of due to lack of good snow conditions. But, we enjoyed the scenic views and several excellent nights out at local restaurants. The downstairs where the bedrooms are gets terribly warm if you turn up the heat at all but once we realized that we kept the heat off downstairs and used the wood pellet stove upstairs to keep the living area cozy when were were upstairs. Like most rentals the pots and pans in the kitchen are hit and miss as I'm sure its hard to keep pans in good condition with renters beating them up. The pool table was a nice place to gather and let everyone play.
My family & I really enjoyed the Beaver Lodge. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, a well equipped kitchen - and a grill with plenty of gas, plus a great hot tub, pool table & darts! The shower in the master bath is such a treat with options for waterfalls & jets & rain :). It was so easy to relax. The location is also great for all the fun of North Lake Tahoe. We've been renting VRBOs in Tahoe annually for four years now, and Beaver Lodge has been the best so far. Ronetta was super easy to work with and very responsive.
We had a wonderful stay at the Beaver Lodge! It is a beautiful, clean, comfortable home - and the owners have taken special care to provide everything that a guest might need. The Beaver Lodge is close to Kings Beach, so guests can take advantage of the recreation (beautiful beach, with opportunities for kayaking, stand-up paddleboard, etc), shopping (including a very well-stocked Safeway), and restaurants in town. . . .but one feels very far from town: it's on a quiet street that ends a short distance from the house, at an access point for the Tahoe Rim Trail! We highly recommend the Beaver Lodge and hope to return.
