Mountain Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Spectacular Mountain Views.
I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, surrounded by lush forests and an abundance of natural lakes, so I have a true appreciation of nature. In 1972 I moved to Florida to experience a different kind of life, lots of sun, warm weather and gorgeous beaches. But still I had a dream, and that was to live in the mountains and be able to walk out on my deck and enjoy an amazing view. I eventually moved to Western North Carolina and never looked back, because life in these mountains is everything I ever hoped it would be and more. When I moved into my cabin, which has an amazing mountain view without even having to get out of bed, I realized that dream. The first morning took my breath away as I opened my eyes and the first rays of sunlight hit Mt. Pisgah. Later I moved into a different location here in the area and it has been one of my greatest joys in life, to provide this remarkable experience for others. The cabin is located right outside of Asheville. I take a personal interest in seeing to it that everything is perfect for each new guest to arrive. Thank You, Nancy
Nancy purchased this Cabin in 1999
Why Nancy chose Candler
I have lived in the Asheville area now for 19 years. I find it to be one of the most wonderful and unique places imaginable. I wouldn't live anywhere else for anything. Something for everyone I always say! For nature lovers we have the Pisgah National Forest and the Smoky Mountains with unlimited hiking and bicycling trails, lots of waterfalls and one of the most diverse ecological areas in the world with over 100,000 species of plants and animals. Not only are the natural surroundings diverse but so are the people with their attendant cultural interests. And speaking of culture, Asheville is a haven for artisans with numerous galleries and festivals to show off their talents. If you love music, you've come to the right place. Not only do we have numerous concerts in the area all the time but we also have Friday night drumming during warmer months in Pritchard Park and Shindig on the Green in the summer, both free to the public. You will frequently hear a lone musician or a combo providing music in front of the cafes, Fine Arts Theater or Malaprops Bookstore. And speaking of downtown Asheville, it is impossible to walk down any street, anytime of day, any day of the week, any time of year and not find lots of people abuzz with activity. It is just a lively and invigorating town. And Asheville has some of the very best cafes and coffee houses you will find anywhere. Have I convinced you that I love it here? If so, or even if not, come and find out for yourself why Asheville is listed in numerous magazines and books as one of the top places to live or visit in the entire world!
What makes this Cabin unique
Treetop Mountain Vista is a single cabin off to itself to provide longed for privacy. No one will bother you as you enjoy the hot tub for two high up on the deck. Part of the deck is covered for dining outside, which you can still enjoy even in a peaceful rain. The hot tub sits in the open so you can thoroughly enjoy the night sky. The comfy king bed provides a bird's-eye view of Mt. Pisgah as you awaken in the morning or just taking a breather anytime of the day. Everything is provided for your experience of rustic beauty with more than just a touch of luxury. The view from nearly every window is inspiring. You are right at Mt. Pisgah and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and you'll be watching the view over the treetops(hence the name TREETOP MOUNTAIN VISTA). Behind the cabin is more mountain to explore. But right up highway 151 and the Blue Ridge Parkway are plenty of places to hike or ride your mountain bike. It's an exceptional location! Yet not at all far from Asheville, Waynesville, The Biltmore Estate, The North Carolina Arboretum and too much more to mention here.

Our little family of three had the BEST three-night stay. We loved the whole property, the cabin itself was beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. This may sound odd but we were impressed with the quality of the windows and sliding doors to the deck. Nancy takes great care of this property! The hot tub was a treat and the bed was so comfy. And my five year old will always remember learning to play pool with her daddy at this special cabin. Wonderful family memories made all around!
Thank you for this wonderful review! I believe an effective review should elicit feelings and your words make me feel warm all over! I think of my cabin as a baby that needs to be nurtured and cared for and my son and daughter-in-law do just that😊! I especially appreciate your mentioning the windows and sliding glass doors as I do take special pride in the openness they afford. What could be more useful in such beautiful surroundings? Now I’m going to have to teach my 6 yr old granddaughter to play pool as she is frequently present at the cabin when her parents are working. Lol. I do hope you return again for another visit. Much Warmth, Nancy, (Eric and Fei)
Centrally located yet secluded.
Enjoyed the view from the deck. Only trees and mountains, not a house in sight. About 8 min to nearest conv store, and 13 min to nearest town. Larger space than the pics indicated. Owner communicated promptly. Fell asleep to the sound of nothing but crickets and the wind rustling through the trees. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and linens. Great stay.
We loved everything about our stay at the cozy little mountain cabin! The only thing we'd say is that it was a little hard to find in the dark for our arrival and the beginning of the gravel driveway was pretty bumpy. Overall though, we have no complaints whatsoever with the cabin itself or Nancy! We very much hope to come back some day!
Thank you so much for your kind review. I do hope you make it back to see us again. Warm Regards, Nancy
We loved it!
Great location close to Asheville and Pisgah National Forest. Nancy thought of everything; if we needed it, it was already there. We took full advantage of the views and the convenience. We used the group discount vouchers and went to Biltmore, saw Looking Glass Falls, did downtown Asheville, and loved the River Arts District. Definitely check out the glass blowing on Roberts St. Will definitely recommend, and will come back next time I visit Asheville.
Thank you for this wonderful review! I can tell you made good use of your time and gave great recommendations for future guests to our area! Warm Wishes, Nancy
Awesome View, Adorable Cabin
I definitely got the peace and much needed quiet I needed to write my book. I would recommend and plan on returning soon to buy my own cabin.
Good place for the arts! I’ve had a young man record his music and a couple began their foray into painting. One has even turned it into a career. Good luck with your book and all your endeavors! Nancy
Great location, peaceful
We enjoyed our stay! Great location for Asheville, Brevard, and Pisgah hikes. The hot tub and views were nice...it’s a smaller two person spa which was perfect for us. We enjoyed the stars from the deck!
We are 15 minutes away from the world famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Asheville and The Biltmore Estate are 20 minutes away. From our deck you have a birds eye view of majestic Mt. Pisgah. A must do activity for nature lovers is the North Carolina Arboretum only 20 minutes away. We are on the edge of the Pisgah National Forest on the side of a mountain surrounded by trees, but with easy access to all you come to our area to see but still away from it all. A very private and serene location to just relax and enjoy life. Not far are plenty of grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and movie theaters.
