Welcome to the Northwoods! This four-season cabin is located directly across the road from beautiful Lake Metonga in Crandon. Known for its great fishery and overall recreational opportunities, Lake Metonga is one of the larger jewels of the Northwoods.
Shopping, swimming, hunting, fishing, or snowmobiling are just a few of the year-round attractions awaiting you outside the cabin, which sits on the snowmobile trail and directly across from a park with horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, swing sets, a boat landing and sand beach (with lifeguard). Within walking distance of downtown, the cabin features a large kitchen with hickory cabinets and breakfast bar, gas-burning stone fireplace, loft, two large bedrooms and wrap-around patio with a full size picnic table.
Whether your intent is to play hard or relax often, you will find everything you need in the Northwoods!
We spent our 10th anniversary here with our small toddlers. Romantic, right? It was! The sunny and beautifully decorated cottage/cabin was very accomodating to all of us. There is a hot tub outside and a fireplace inside. The cabin/cottage boasts alot of the same ammenities that a larger resort would offer and more. Such as games, puzzles, movies. We spent our time here in the winter but with the lake just across the road the summer months would just make the stay sweeter. We couldn't have been happier with finding this place. We we will be back.
Clean. Good amenities. Right across the street from Lake Metonga. Good size rooms, great kitchen. Didn't use the hot tub or the grill but they were available.
Went there on a brothers fishing trip. Nicest place we've stayed at for any trip we've had. If staying in town, avoid Ducks restaurant at all cost, awful.
We had such a wondeful stay for a late family Christmas celebration and snowmobiling trip. The trails were right next to the cabin and snowmobiling on the lake was great. The cabin was absolutely perfect, clean, very reasonably priced, well equipped, cozy, warm and plenty of room. We had everything we needed to make this a perfect vacation. The owners are so friendly and helpful and we would love to come back in summer to enjoy the summer activities. Thank you Mary and Jodi for a wonderful time!!!!!
Three couples escaped to this cabin for a family weekend away. All exclaimed, “This is really nice!” upon arriving. The cabin is clean, bright, and so well maintained that it feels brand new! The owners were helpful and friendly, answering questions, showing us how things worked, and even giving us better directions for our journey home. We parked three vehicles and a boat with room to spare in the driveway, had comfortable beds, and found plenty of towels. The well-stocked kitchen makes it easy to cook meals on site.
During our short stay, we visited the park across the street and nearby lakes but spent most of the weekend together in the spacious first floor area, playing games, listening to music playing from the loft/media room, and relaxing at the campfire or in the hot tub. We were entertained by the birds and bullfrogs on the property and intrigued by the small-town silence. The street is not busy, and strangers will wave if you drive around the lakes.
I have to agree with the other guests: this is a great place in a great setting for a great price.
Our Family spent a much needed vacation in this lovely and well appointed cabin. The lake is right across the street and the local stores are just right around the corner. This home was everthing it said it was and more !!!! Loved the small town atmosphere and the people were very friendly. We spent a lot of time in the lake and enjoyed seeing the fish and crawfish as we swam. Felt very safe there with our three kids ages 4 , 11 , and 13. Mary and Jodi were a delight to work with. Thank you for a fantastic time with our family !!! The Schoenhardt's
The cabin is very nice, clean, and in an absolutely great location three blocks from the main highway; however, it is right across the road from the park, beach, and boat landing. Jodi and Mary were extremely easy to work with and have done a excellent job making their visitors feel like they actually in their own cabin. The lofted entertainment area is perfect and the outdoor hot tub underneith the coverage porch next to the fire pit was enjoyed by the entire family. WE WILL BE BACK!
Crandon is surrounded by beautiful national forests, sparkling clear lakes, and unique recreational opportunities. Downtown is lined with quaint specialty shops and historic buildings and is a short walk from the cabin. Twice yearly, the city is home to world championship off-road racing. For those who like to gamble, multiple casinos are within easy driving distance.
Summer water activities include boating, jet-skiing, swimming, fishing, skiing, and tubing. Hundreds of miles of world-class trout fishing streams are within an hour of the cabin and are included at no charge. Winter activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more.
