Gardiner Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Our cabin is located on the Yellowstone River at the southern end of Paradise Valley, just 4 miles north of Gardiner and the original entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Whether you are coming to visit the park, sample the blue ribbon trout fishing or to enjoy the numerous year round outdoor activities the area has to offer; this location is ideal for you.

Our cabin is an end unit with adjacent off street parking. The cabin comes with all of the amenities you would expect to make your stay comfortable. The covered outdoor porch overlooks the Yellowstone River with spectacular views of the park and Electric Peak. Each bedroom can accommodate up to 4 people, has it's own full bathroom and satellite flat screen TV. When you want to kick back in the evening, enjoy the living room's reclining furniture, satellite TV and Franklin stove. The kitchen is equipped with a water filtering and ice making refrigerator, quality appliances and cookware and even a variety of spices. A washer and dryer along with all linens and towels for bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are also provided. In response to previous reviews, we now have free Wi-Fi available for our guests.

The area abounds with year round outdoor activities. Winter offers the solitude of snowshoeing, back country and cross country skiing both in the park and in the surrounding National Forest. Spring brings a special treat for bicyclists. While the northern road from Gardiner to Cooke City remains open year round, the remainder of the park is limited to bicycle traffic only for a period in the month of April. As winter run off swells the the Yellowstone River, rafting and kayaking take center stage. Summer offers park visits, fishing and all of the other outdoor activities too numerous to list. Fall wraps up the year with smaller crowds in the park, crisp fresh air, hunting and great fishing.

The Yellowstone Association Institue offers year round classes and information is available on their web site.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Cabin # 10 was absolutely wonderful and decorated with beautiful country style. It was very vey clean and well stocked with cook wear, dishes, paper products, spices etc. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C did the job when it was needed. Because of the very functional washer and dryer we could have traveled with less clothing. Cabin # 10 had the necessary appliances to make us feel at home. Wildlife greeted us every evening when we returned and sitting on the deck after a long day was just delightful. I am sure we will come back again.

How soon can we come back?

  • 5 of 5

Amazing location for Yellowstone visitors! This cabin was a highlight of our trip and staying just outside the north entrance to Yellowstone was a great decision. In fact, when we went to see Old Faithful we dropped in at the famous in-park lodge. It was shoulder to shoulder guests and tourists, lines to the facilities, and air conditioning that didn't keep up with the doors opening. We all agreed that we couldn't wait to get back to the cabin, with plenty of room, the sound of the river passing by in the front, and the sounds of elk calling in the morning. The cabin is fully stocked with everything a visitor would need and every comfort has been considered. (Beds are cozy, towels are fluffy, water pressure is great, neighbors are friendly). The hosts are 5 star - great communication and warm welcoming. We will go back - wouldn't change a thing!

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this property for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The cabin was very clean and was stocked with everything that we needed. The location was great because we had a view of the Yellowstone River and could be in Yellowstone within 5 minutes. The owners of the cabin responded in a timely manner to all emails and gave us great directions along with helpful information during our stay. I highly recommend staying in this cabin.

Perfect Family Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family of 6 as our home base for Yellowstone. The kitchen was well equipped, felt like we were staying at a friend's home. Living/eating area very comfy, cute and clean. The porch was perfect for enjoying coffee and the river view in the morning. Having a washer and dryer on site was so handy. We loved the direct drive into the park and spotted many antelope around the cabin during our stay.

We arrived after dark and did have trouble finding the property, drove past several times. It's very dark out there! Think I finally thought to look at the address so we could find it on the mailbox. We would definitely stay again.

Cabin Review

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here on a family vacation from 7/10/15-7/15/15. The cabin is lovely, exactly what we needed for our trip and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! The cabin was extremely clean, spacious, and well equipped. We enjoyed the layout with each bedroom having comfortable beds, a TV, and a private bathroom. Having a front loading washer/dryer (detergent was provided) was very useful, especially after dirtying our clothing wading through streams and rivers in pursuit of trout. The cabin is located on the Yellowstone River, and about a 7-10 minute drive from the small town of Gardiner (entrance to YNP located here). We enjoyed most evenings on the patio looking over the beautiful Yellowstone River and mountain vista, and even cooked out one night on the electric grill. Owners provide extras such as paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, soap, spices, etc., which minimizes items you will need to buy upon arriving. Only thing we wished for was internet service as we had very spotty cell phone service (AT&T), which made checking email and making calls without driving into Gardiner very difficult (owners were forthright about spotty cell phone service and unit not having internet up front/before booking, so this was in no way their fault and something we were aware of prior to booking). We had a wonderful trip and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in a rural setting, but with close and easy access to the town of Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone! Wonderful owners, cabin, and location- hope to get back soon!
