We stayed in Duck Lake Inn in June. We had a great time. Beautiful place. Perfect place for the family vacation with small kids.
Our family (including grandkids) had a wonderful time at "Duck Lake Inn". The owners have thought of everything to keep anyone comfortable-so many nice touches including cute toys/play area for kids, books, games, piano (fun!), exercise equip, laundry, canoes with life jackets, nice new grill, a hot tub and lots more. The house is nice and spacious so each guest can be completely comfortable and cleanliness was excellent, not even a single cob web- the place was VERY clean throughout which allowed us to feel much at ease. It is in a lovely setting on a corner lot right across the road fom access to Duck Lake on which one's cares can melt away using the clean, well-kept canoes supplied by the owners. You see the lake right from the home- it is very close by. Also included are maps and brochures and other helpful information about the beautiful local area in which there is SO much to see and do. This was very helpful. The home has a very welcoming feel. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. It was a wonderful time and we would definitely stay there again.
We loved our stay at Duck Lake Inn. Eleven of us stayed there, including 5 children, ages 2-7 and we had plenty of room. The yard was great - hot tub, huge deck, private and quiet. The toys for the kids both indoors and out were a bonus. Great place for walking or bike riding. The lake was clean and beautiful. We did have family near by that had boats and kayaks - not a lot of lake traffic. Did not visit the public beach for lack of time, but it is not too far away.
Traverse City is near by for great restaurants, the lake and local shopping. We also took a day trip to Old Mission Peninsula - beautiful drive, wineries and a light house at the tip. Sight seeing is great. Great place to vacation and I hope to go back again. Glad we decided to rent, rather than stay in a hotel.
