A spectacular view of Diamond Head, Hawaii's most famous landmark, fills the entire living area. The outside Lanai has seating for two…enjoy your favorite morning brew and watch a beautiful Hawaiian sunrise dance on the slopes of Diamond Head.
The Kitchen features full-sized appliances, and is completely stocked with everything you need to prepare simple to gourmet meals. The Dining Area seats up to 5.
For your dreaming comfort, there is one King-Size bed in the first bedroom (or two twin beds can be set up if you prefer), one Queen bed in the second bedroom, and a Queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room.

This is a privately owned condominium located in the Resort Quest Waikiki Sunset, a AAA rated 3-Diamond condominium resort. You will be in direct contact with the owner, not a rental agency or hotel pool. My guests tell me there is a difference !! No one will care more for your comfort and satisfaction than an owner will. I will do my utmost to exceed your expectations to insure you have the best vacation experience possible at the best possible price.
The personal touch we received from Claire from our first inquiry to this property, to the detailed rental package, the arrival greeting and personal tour from Claire of our immediate surroundings when we got there, mid week housekeeping and the personal farewell made this trip feel more like staying with family.
Claire takes pride in her property and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The refrigerator is stocked with some essentials before you arrive and basket full of goodies was very much appreciated by all (fruit, cookies, coffee)!
The condo is on the 10th floor and at the end of the hallway. It was magnificently clean and inviting and we felt right at home. The coin-operated laundry room and trash shoot are located right out the door in the hallway and there is no noticeable noise from either of these rooms. Many nights we would prop open the front door of the condo for a breeze and to listen for our wash to be finished.
The property itself is clean and has a friendly staff. We never got to use the pool but did use the on-site gas BBQ (don’t buy charcoal) nor did we use the free internet provided by the hotel as the condo has it’s own and the cable will reach out on to the table on the lanai! The free parking and internet was a GREAT added benefit as I was still working and we were gone everyday in our rental car. Coffee on the lanai in the early mornings watching the sunrise somehow made having to work while I was on vacation not so bad.
The view of sunrises and evening time of Diamond Head from the Lanai were spectacular, the kind that never turn out as good in a photo. The sounds of the Howler monkeys drifting up from the Honolulu Zoo located a block away brought smiles to our boys (age 7 & 9). We even got to hear some of Jimmy Buffet's concert from the Shell. Everything was is within walking distance for our family of 4, Zoo, Aquarium, International Market Place and even a small grocery store. We cooked and ate mostly in the condo. The on-property market place is also a good place to grab items forgotten and at a reasonable price. There is an ABC store located on the same street. Waikiki beach is minutes walking distance and we found ourselves going back and forth throughout the day to grab things we forgot or make sandwiches, charge camera batteries etc it is that close yet it sits far enough back to avoid the noise of the hustle and bustle of the main street.
This was our first trip to Oahu as a family and it won’t be our last and the only place we will be staying is at Clare’s. In writing this review I looked at the pictures of the property again and they are as they appear. Wish I was still there... Mahalo Claire and hope to see you again in 2008! Darlene, Rick and boys
We had a delightful Christmas vacation, thanks to Clare and her lovely unit. The location was ideal - within walking distance to everything in Waikiki, (and a convenient bus stop for other places) but not so close that the noise was an issue. Also, the free parking was such a bonus! I've paid $30/day for parking in the past. Everything we could have needed was there - including a citrus juicer! I need to do a lot of cooking while away from home due to a restrictive diet, and it was a joy to cook here.
Clare is such an incredibly thoughtful host! She communicates clearly from the start with her explanation of the location and amenities so there are no surprises, and comes to replace linens and clean regularly. So much better than a hotel, and the best VRBO I've been in.
We were a party of three - my husband and myself with our 22-year old son. Our older son is an island resident, and lives just a few blocks away. We used Clare's condo as our refuge and rendezvous spot. I unfortunately brought a bad cold with me, and was able to rest very comfortably the first few days while the guys were out surfing , hiking, scuba diving, and doing their other assorted guy stuff. I particularly enjoyed watching the changing view from the lanai at different times of day.
Clare has assembled a binder of useful information for her guests with menus and island highlights, along with local magazines full of current events.

Clare was so welcoming and very helpful. The condo was lovely and clean and very comfortable. For a family this condo is perfect. The location was close to everything and all the little extras a great bonus. Clare made us feel so special and her knowledge was a great bonus. The price was also very reasonable. Mahalo Clare❤️
Thank you once again for accomdating my family in your outstanding apartment. I highly recommend this apartment to everyone. Clare is an absolute pleasure to deal with & her apartment has everything you could possible need. The apartment is immaculate. This was our second stay & I wouldn't hesitate to book again. My family consisted of 1 adult 4 children (ages 11,10,8 & 3) & we all fitted comfortably. Car parking inclusion was an additional bonus. Only a straight 2min walk (1 block) from Waikiki beach at the quite end of town. Mini-mart in the hotel or 3min drive to Safeway. You just can't go past this apartment.
This unit is well located in Waikiki - small but well appointed and extremely clean. Very convenient to laundry room and trash chute - easy easy!

Our flight arrived at 10 am and Clare not only accommodated our early arrival, but her place was all ready for us. We were able to get in an extra half day thanks to her hospitality and flexibility.
Clare met us at her home and the first thing you notice when opening the door is the view of Diamond Head, takes your breath away, and then when you start taking in your home, you notice how beautiful it looks and comfortable it feels, fully equipped kitchen, tv with everything you could watch or listen to when you are indoors, fluffy white bath towels, and tropical bed linens - you know you are in Paradise both inside and out. There's lots of books on Oahu that makes deciding where your next adventure will be a difficult choice. She keeps a binder (work in progress) offering tips, guidance and restaurant recommendations. Her unit is very comfortable, at one time we were a group of 5 and there was no problem moving about comfortably and being able to all be in the living room visiting (and of course eating).
The location is ideal, you are 3 blocks off the main strip, and a half a block from the trolley lines, and of course there's an ABC store within shouting distance. You don't have the crowds that you do on the main drag, but are close enough to enjoy as much of the crowds as you want. You can easily walk to the main drag, the fancy shops, restaurants, and more on your end is the Zoo, Aquarium, Sans Souci and Queens Beach, San Souci (lifeguard here). These beaches were a great place to snorkel and just float around, not very busy, few tourists, local kids and families, lots of sand and space and no bumping into each other in the surf. In between these two beaches is the Natatorium and you have a sea wall pool almost all to yourself.
Clare captures the Hawaiian spirit of hospitality, elegance and welcome. She made the whole process easy, from her emails describing her property, responding to questions, instructions upon arrival and departure.

This is the best area of Waikiki, the perfect location for families. Waikiki Beach is 2 blocks from the condo. The Honolulu Zoo, Kapiolani Park, Waikiki Aquarium, and the popular 'Sunset on the Beach' event are all just a few minutes walking distance. If you don't feel like cooking, there are many casual and fine-dining restaurants in the immediate area. Across the street is the Waikiki Community Center where you can sign up for Hula and Ukulele lessons, and attend Church Service on Sunday. The property is located close to a residential area, so it is relaxing and quiet.
