|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
This 65 m2 apartment is perfectly located in museum quarter district of Amsterdam.
The apartment includes everything two people might need for a relaxed and comfortable stay; a well equipped kitchen, with a juicer, blender, 6 pit gas stove & oven, espresso machine and a dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and dryer.
There are two balconies; one opening to the living room, which has morning sun and a bigger one that opens to the master bedroom with double glass doors, which has sun all afternoon.
In the living room there is a dinner table for 6, 2 lounge chairs, a sofa and a large plasma screen TV, DVD player, cable television, fast WiFi & sound system.
The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed and the luxurious bathroom has a shower, large bathtub and twin wash basins with a large mirror. Fresh linen, towels and kitchen towels are present. There is central heating, which you hopefully won't be needing during July.
We were very happy with this apartment, which is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Immaculate and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable king sized bed, but if you like soft pillows do what we always do and take your own! The location is convenient (walking distance) from the Museums and there are frequent trams to the center of Amsterdam stopping nearby. Many cafes and restaurants in surrounding streets, and a large supermarket next to the Van Gogh Museum. My only gripe is not unique to this apartment but apparently is very common in Amsterdam - the stairs. Very steep with narrow treads, more like a ladder really, and would be illegal under most countries' building regulations. Unless you're fit, or accustomed to stairs like this, it could be a problem as this apartment is on the second floor with no lift.
Part of renting an apartment is being able to get in touch with the owner for any problems. The owner of the apartment was completely unavailable and unresponsive. He had a friend greet us who was a very nice person but he left no book of instructions which she immediately realized so we had no wifi code nor any instructions on how to work anything. The first day she assured us she could reach him for the code but could not. I emailed him after the 2nd day explaining that we needed at least the code and he never responded. When we were looking for an apartment we made sure that wifi was available since of course, this is part of the world right now. The 3rd night all the plugs went out including the one to the refrigerator. Of course the very nice person he left to help could not and he never responded to her even though she tried to contact him every day. I emailed him after I left to explain the problems since we didn't get what we paid for and he never responded. The apartment was itself nice and in a great neighborhood but part of the experience is that when you do have problems, you should get help. Because of this, I had to rate this very low. I have rented many times with VRBO and this was the worst communication I have ever had and I do not feel we got what we paid for.
Mooi en ruim apartement gelegen in een van de mooiste gedeeltes van Amsterdam. Met een goede service heb ik hier een prima verblijf gehad!
We had an excellent stay in this modern and comfortable flat. It is very conveniently located for the museum district, but also for trams to other parts of the city. Some great cafes and restaurants nearby, especially we recommend Café de Knijp and Café Bakkerswinkel. The flat has all you need. Friendly and helpful owner. The towels needed an upgrade though !
This was an excellent apartment very near to the museum precinct of Amsterdam, adjacent to a tram stop, round the corner from a bike hire shop, and only 15 minutes from the central station! Unless you find two flights of steep stairs a problem, then this is the perfect apartment for two. Daniel needs to let you in first, as the apartment is above the street, with a secured front door, but then you have it to yourself - a large main room with TV, lounge, stereo and a good window to the street - without noise. At the other end of the main room Daniel has a good sized kitchen with dishwasher and lots of cooking equipment. The separate bathroom has a good sized shower, and lovely deep bath. The bedroom has a nice window and a large very comfortable queen sized bed, and good curtains to shut out any lights. All-in-all an excellent place for a few days in Amsterdam.
You can reach it easily by car from the highway, trams 24 and 5. You are 3 minute bike ride away from the canals, the Van Gogh, Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum.
Apart from all major Amsterdam museums, the apartment is 500m away from the Albert Kuyp street market, The Concert Building and the famous canals.
