Located in the heart of Summit County, 70 miles west of Denver, our home provides guests with a 1st-class accommodation while enjoying all the activities our county has to offer. Centrally located to all the major ski areas, such as Keystone, Copper & Breckenridge, the home is convenient & easily accessible from I-70; yet it's quiet & tucked away in a small mountain neighborhood, surrounded by national forest. Our home offers all the amenities of an exceptional mountain retreat. Completed in the Fall of 2006, the home is over 4300 sq ft. & includes: 5 BR, 3.5 BA, 2 loft areas, large gourmet kitchen & dining room and a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace. The large, open floor plan is great for entertaining & socializing. The family room includes a TV & DVD player that is sure to please the entire family.

As owners & managers of this home, we take great pride in providing our guests with a terrific & affordable vacation rental home.

About Sherri or Jeff Leigh

Jeff was born in Chicago, but moved to Colorado when he was 6 months old. He started skiing at an early age and joined the Keystone volunteer ski patrol when he was 16. At 21, he moved to Arapahoe Basin where he patrolled for the next 29 years.

After graduating from CU in Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design, Jeff moved up to the mountains and started his building career. He still enjoys designing and building homes today.

I was born in Doylestown, PA and moved to Colorado in 1979 to attend Veterinary Assistant School.

Jeff and I met at a kids cancer camp in 1987 and were married 2 years later. We have 2 horse and 2 cats and live on a small acreage property just north of Silverthorne. After moving to Summit County, I worked with Jeff with his construction projects and in 1992 I passed my Real Estate Broker's test. Today I and own and manage, Buffalo Mountain Real Estate.

In our spare time we enjoy white water rafting, bike touring, and working on our home.

We bought the lot in Cortina Ridge in 2000. Jeff designed the home and we starting the building process in 2006. The home was completed in the Fall of 2007

Home Away from Home...Again!

We LOVE this house. Each time we stay....which has been several times...we enjoy it more. The setting is so quiet and peaceful that you don't notice there are other houses around. And everything you need is furnished. We stayed for a week this summer....and only ate out twice. The kitchen is a joy to use. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub and firepit in the evenings. We're already looking forward to staying again. It's a beautiful, comfortable home....you won't be disappointed!

We are Denver locals that frequently rent with our families in the mountains. This, by far, was one of the nicest places we've stayed (and we've stayed at many). The home is more beautiful than the pictures show. The owners go above and beyond. The kitchen has essentials and is overstocked compared to the average rental. We absolutely loved cooking in the kitchen! The hot tub was clean and well cared for. The heated floors felt wonderful after a long day of skiing. The views of Keystone at night were beautiful- we even could see the Saturday night fireworks from a distance while relaxing in the warm living room. Thank you for a great stay!

Awesome house for our family ski vacation

Our two families stayed at this great property. Owners were very accommodating and responsive. The home was perfect for our needs! Great kitchen and dining area; a hot tub that fit 4; two master suites that the two sets of parents stayed in; a great gathering place in the basement that our kids used; extra beds in the lofts... I can't think of a single shortcoming. Location was great - a bout a mile up the hill from the Silverthorne outlet mall.

Amazaing place

My family of four, Brother in Laws family of 4, and my In-Laws had a great time in this rental. I absolutely fell in love with the kitchen. This place is great for big groups, and worked great for our kids.

Double Awesome!!

My family(6 adults +6 children) has vacationed in rental houses for several years now and this home was by far the "BEST"! We fell in love with it the moment we walked thru the front door. I will say, after studying the pictures and reviews, I was expecting a lot from this home but to my delight it was much, much more. The pictures did not do it justice. For example the kitchen was much "bigger" and "nicer" with drawers, cabinets, and a huge pantry full of everything we needed to cook all meals. The table was not only BEAUTIFUL (built by owner Jeff) but it was HUGE (seated 12 easily) in a large eating area. Not pictured was a marvelous second family room on the lower level and a handy utility room upon entering from the well-organized double garage (equipped with clean & marked recycle bins). The owners are very knowledgeable and can provide you a wealth of information about bicycle/hiking trails, restaurants, shopping, etc.

If you are particular with your own home and want the same when you are vacationing, without reservation, this is the place for you!

Perfect Ski House - Location. comfort and amenities

Having planned ski trips for a group for the last 20+ years involving home rentals I can honestly say this was the best renatl ever. The 5 private bedrooms were perfect for our group of five guys - never used the 4 single beds still left over. Hot tub is four steps out off the kitchen, two car garage and a great view of Keystone night skiing and the Dillon Dam. Five minutes to food, dining and ski rental shopping - easy on/off to interstate 70. Working with the owners was perfect-always in communication. We were 15 minutes to Keystone, about 45 to Vail, 1 1/4 hr to Winter Park, 1 hr to Beaver Creek and about 30 minutes to Loveland. So do yourself a favor and when your ready to pull the trigger after countless hours of housing research - stop and pick this one - you can not do any better for the price, location and amenities. Ski well and travel safe.

Since we are centrally located in Summit County, you will have easy access to all the shopping, restaurants and outdoors activities that are available to our guests. Our home sits above the town of Silverthorne, so you will have endless hiking and cross country skiing trails in the National Forest minutes from the home. From the front deck & living room windows you can watch the sail boats on Lake Dillon in the summer and the see lights from Keystone in the winter.

If the reservation is more than 4 months out, we require a non-refundable reservation deposit of $400 to hold the reservation. **If the reservation is made less than 2 months prior to arrival, full payment including the damage deposit is due within 24 hours to secure your reservation.

The total rent due is divided into two payments, payable 4 months and 2 months prior to arrival. The $300 damage deposit is due with the final rental payment. Once all payments are received, the Final Confirmation Letter will be mailed to you reviewing payment history, directions to the house, access information, telephone number and any specific information you may have requested.
