Located in the heart of Summit County, 70 miles west of Denver, our home provides guests with a 1st-class accommodation while enjoying all the activities our county has to offer. Centrally located to all the major ski areas, such as Keystone, Copper & Breckenridge, the home is convenient & easily accessible from I-70; yet it's quiet & tucked away in a small mountain neighborhood, surrounded by national forest. Our home offers all the amenities of an exceptional mountain retreat. Completed in the Fall of 2006, the home is over 4300 sq ft. & includes: 5 BR, 3.5 BA, 2 loft areas, large gourmet kitchen & dining room and a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace. The large, open floor plan is great for entertaining & socializing. The family room includes a TV & DVD player that is sure to please the entire family.

About Sherri or Jeff Leigh

Jeff was born in Chicago, but moved to Colorado when he was 6 months old. He started skiing at an early age and joined the Keystone volunteer ski patrol when he was 16. At 21, he moved to Arapahoe Basin where he patrolled for the next 29 years.

After graduating from CU in Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design, Jeff moved up to the mountains and started his building career. He still enjoys designing and building homes today.

I was born in Doylestown, PA and moved to Colorado in 1979 to attend Veterinary Assistant School.

Jeff and I met at a kids cancer camp in 1987 and were married 2 years later. We have 2 horses and 4 cats and live on a small acreage property just north of Silverthorne.

After moving to Summit County, I worked with Jeff with his construction projects and in 1992 I passed my Real Estate Broker's test. Today I and own and manage, Buffalo Mountain Real Estate.

In our spare time we enjoy white water rafting, bike touring, camping and working on our home.

We bought the lot in Cortina Ridge in 2000. Jeff designed the home and we starting the building process in 2006. The home was completed in the Fall of 2007

This is just a small list of what our guests will find upon arrival: paper towels, napkins, Kleenex, TP, hand soap, dish & laundry detergent, coffee & filters, tea, aluminum foil, saran wrap, kitchen spices, extra pillow & blankets and much more. If there is something you need, just let us know and we will try to bring the item to the home. The home also have a nice selection of videos, books and games. Pictures don't do this home justice. We had 8 adults with plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is well stocked and a joy to cook in. Large dining table seats everyone with room to spare. Great central location for many summertime pursuits. Owners are very helpful and want to make your stay memorable. Hope to visit again.

The home exceeded our expectations. It was ideal for our reunion with college friends. Great location, well stocked, and was comfortable for 5 couples.

The owners even supplied recommendations for dining and recreational activities.

Perfect in Everyway

The home was absolutely perfect for our family. Spacious, well-appointed, comfortable beds, beautiful setting and terrific hosts. Our family from far and wide arrived to spend a week at the house. Because there was so many of us (12 total which included 2 year twins and a 10 year boy), we cooked most nights. The kitchen was perfectly designed to allow many people to each do their "thing". The dining table accommodated all of us nicely. With regards to the sleeping arrangements, everyone (especially the parents, i.e., my husband and me - whose bedroom was enormous) had plenty of space and the beds were very comfortable. There were 3 or 4 televisions, but because there is so much to do, not sure any tvs were ever turned on except to watch Elmo,

The house is nestled in trees and the views from the wrap around porch is wonderful. Because the porch is connected to the living space and is very large, our granddaughters small tricycles fit nicely and they were able to ride and play outside. Speaking of outside, there is a hot tub and it was used almost every night. It was spacious and everyone enjoyed soaking in it after their day of hiking or rafting (we were there in June).

When we arrived our hosts, made a point to meet us and were very helpful and gracious.

I think all of us, thought the house was wonderful and we would highly recommend. Have absolutely no complaints or suggestions -- it was and is perfect. Go!

One of our best VRBO experiences ever!

We spent Spring Break week here with a group of friends, as we skied at Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge. The house was SO PERFECT and lovely and awesome! Everything was so great, I honestly couldn't find one thing that had me going "oh, it's a shame they didn't do...." -- which is pretty much UNHEARD OF for me! But this house has everything -- plenty of space to spread out, comfortable beds, plenty of linens, an amazing kitchen (complete with everything you need to cook, from olive oil to spices to a crockpot to baking pans!). The hot tub was great, the view was amazing, there are tons of books to read and DVDs to watch. The mud room was fantastic for dumping all of our ski gears (cubbies for gloves and hats and such, hooks for coats and BOOT WARMERS to dry out those damp ski boots). Ski racks in the garage, ample recycling, a totally cleaned-off deck with lots of seating. It really was just a FANTASTIC STAY. This is obviously a house where the owners have spent time there, and made sure that it is equally comfortable for people coming to visit.

When I search for VRBOs in the mountains, I'm looking for 3 things: a great view, a hot tub and nice, modern decor. This place scored gold stars on all of these fronts! Sherri was great to communicate with, and came by every day to check on the water in the hot tub (a lot sloshes out when you have a bunch of kids and adults in there). Sadly, I was never there to meet her, but my friends said she was nice and friendly, and definitely wasn't there to spy on us, just to make sure the hot tub was in good shape, which is awesome.

My husband and I slept in the enormous master suite, and the bed was so comfortable, I slept like a ROCK every single night. I just can't say enough great things about this house. I believe we will be coming back to Dillon at some point ( because it's such an awesome home base for great skiing ), and I promise you if we have a big group again, we will 100% be returning to Sherri & Jeff's house. So amazing, and I am SO GRATEFUL that they open up their amazing home to VRBOers!

Beautiful, sunlit, spacious home.

Awesome House for Family

We met here with family from California and Florida to visit and ski. Couldn't ask for a better house layout for a lot of people and close to everything! Jeff and Sherri were awesome and we highly recommend this house for your family get away to the rockies!

Since we are centrally located in Summit County, you will have easy access to all the shopping, restaurants and outdoors activities that are available to our guests. Our home sits above the town of Silverthorne, so you will have endless hiking and cross country skiing trails in the National Forest minutes from the home. From the front deck & living room windows you can watch the sail boats on Lake Dillon in the summer and the see lights from Keystone in the winter.
