We have enjoyed our stay on the USS Gulf Breeze. The pool and pool table were in constant use!! The house is beautiful and the Location Perfect. We had some meals out, but really had the best time eating in. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, dishes, and cookware - it was great! Can't say enough about this place we have rented two other homes in the area previously, in the future if we were doing a multi-family combo again we will start here and work our way down the food chain if it wasn't available.
Yes, this home has been rented for a number of years but regular updates and reno's are readily apparent.
From the Google earth view we were worried it was going to be slapped up next to a bunch of hotels but it was perfectly private and very quiet.
There was so much room we could have easily added 6 more people and no one would be bumping into anyone or lacking space to get away from one another!
Awesome end of the beach, a part of the beach so spacious you could add another 3000 people and not run out of room. One day my son in law and I barbecued burgers at the house and easily walked them out to our spot at the beach for everyone to enjoy.
Beds were comfortable ( there were 5 or 6 we did not even use). Kitchen and bathroom are fine examples of top notch upgrades obliviously done recently. If you have ever had a nicer master en-suite than the main floor master bedroom you are probably Donald Trump.
Some have commented that one or two of the many sofas have seen better days, perhaps they are right, but if they were in my own home I certainly wouldn't be replacing them yet. That is honestly the only somewhat negative comment I can make and it seems lame to even make it, just trying to be thorough!
A fantastic vintage billiards table was greatly enjoyed by all, the pool is huge and private, we even enjoyed the horseshoe pit. Massive numerous balconies , all the beach chairs and toys a multi-family group could want. Internet usage was flawless.
Close to Publix for groceries, we barely moved our cars. We used the Bonita Springs south exit route to get to shopping and missed the bridge gridlock at the North end!
Service was the best I have ever had from management. We had our $ security deposit credited back to us within one week of leaving.
If you are looking for a multiple adult accommodation you will love what this nautical themed very large home provides. I relish the thought of returning in future years.
What a great place!!! We can't say enough good things about this home. It was very well furnished. It had everything we needed...lots of towels, pool toys, etc. The pool was sparkling and clean -- it's a salt water pool... what a great change from the usual. The entertainment area was where every one hung out when they weren't walking the beach, playing in the pool or playing pool. This place has a beautiful pool table. It had all the comforts we wanted and more. We could have stayed forever. It is spacious with lots of room for everyone. The decorations were amazing. The owner clearly has a great sense of collecting. We will be back again and again and again.
We had a wonderful time during our July 2011 visit. We stayed at the USS Gulf Breeze which was unfortunately, less than expected. The house is older and smells old. The pots & pans in the kitchen were very old and filthy dirty - to the point that they couldn't be cleaned. Likewise with the grill outside. It was so dirty we couldn't use it. We bought a small charcoal grill. There were a number of things that didn't work in the house. Overall, we were disappointed especially considering what we paid for the week. The cost was substantial for the week. The accomodations were well below what I would expect based on what we paid. We didn't allow it to ruin our vacation but again, were extremely disappointed.
