The 'Bunk Room' is always a hit with the kids! The home also includes a one car garage, perfect for storing ski equipment in the winter and golf or other sporting equipment in the warmer months.

Enjoy sledding on the golf course during the winter months (home includes several sleds).

Youth groups are welcome with adult supervision.

4 Wheel Drive is Strongly recommended during the winter months.

Beech Mountain offers numerous year-round activities. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating and sledding. In the warmer months, enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, fishing and whitewater rafting.

Great family winter wonderland vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time! The owner was very easy to work with and responded quickly to answer any questions. I never needed to reach out during our stay because the house had everything. It was really nice to have an upper and lower living space- it allowed for the kids and adults to have separate areas to lounge. We were lucky enough to have it snow as we were arriving and throughout our stay. The kids AND adults had a blast sledding on the golf course in the backyard and the surrounding area. We also had an awesome experience skiing at the resort less than 1 mile away! Anything you need is right around the corner from this ideally located property. Thanks for a great family vacation!

A pleasant surprise, for a surprise birthday!

  • 4 of 5

I recently planned a surprise 30th birthday weekend for my husband over the MLK holiday. John the owner was very helpful and was great about getting back to me through email. As I was planning a surprise, I couldn't really communicate on the phone. I was a little nervous planning a whole function via the Internet. I had never been to Beech Mountain and wasn't sure what to expect. The reviews were very helpful when picking a location that was close to Beech Mountain Ski resort. We were extremely close to the slopes as the reviews stated and it was easy to get the ski slopes everyday. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the house, it was very large and had plenty of space for 8 people to sleep comfortable and have space. The pictures online didn't do the house justic, it's a beautiful home and location. The only suggestions I would make is the kitchen needed more dish towels, the knives were dull, and a larger cutting board would be nice. We are a group that enjoys cooking. Still, the kitchen had a Viking range which was amazing for the amount of cooking we did. Overall, we had a amazing visit and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend! We want to go back already!

Owner's Response: Thank you! We are glad that you had a wonderful stay. We will certainly address the knives, increase the number of kitchen towels and add a larger cutting board. Again, thank you and we are glad that you had such a great time!

Perfect Home with Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Our Boy Scout Troop rented this house to go skiing for the weekend. This home housed 6 boy scouts and the leaders and wives that went with ease. The home was easy drive to Ski Beech and provided plenty of room for everyone. We woke up Saturday morning to deer in our backyards which was amazing to see. We spent the day skiing and returned to the house where we relaxed and enjoyed take out pizza from Brick Oven Pizza (awesome food, but kind of expensive) We are already planning our return trip to this house next year....as they say in real estate, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.....if skiing is what you are wanting to do, this is the perfect house for going to the slopes and being able to drive back to the house and return as needed!

Large families/Groups

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect! Close to the slopes and town. We had 5 kids and 6 adults. We would recommend bringing your own cooking knives if you plan on cooking. We cooked every meal and the knives weren't very sharp. The house was clean, and the heat worked extremely well. We saw numerous deer in the yard. We will be staying again next year.

The owner was very quick with his responses when I emailed him.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review and feedback. We appreciate you pointing out the fact that the knives are subpar. We had not noticed that they are dull. We are replacing the knives on Sunday 2/8/15

Great House for Families or Groups!

  • 5 of 5

We had 7 adults and 3 kids. This house was a great setup for us. It was clean and spacious with plenty of room for our 5, 3, and 10 month old to play...it was even equipped with toys, books and board games to keep them entertained. I especially loved the split floor plan that allowed for the adults to hang out upstairs and watch TV while the children enjoyed their own fun on the 1st floor. We were greeted by deer every morning and there was plenty of room in the backyard (golf course) for everyone to run and play! We were even fortunate enough to have some snow to use the sleds in the garage. Great house and great memories! Also, the owner is super attentive to your needs and very responsive when you have any questions or needs he was super easy and great to work with. Definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for great times in NC.
