Beautiful views, great house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this beach house. It was exactly as advertised, comfortable and well equipped, and the views were beautiful. Though there is not A/C, between the breezes and ceiling fans, we found the house to still be comfortable -- espeically in the evening. The location is excellent and Sabrina made booking and check-in very easy. The house is a great base for a North Shore stay -- walking distance from Shark's Cove, Ke Iki Beach, and the Pupukea food trucks. Mahalo for a great stay!

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying at our beach house. Glad you enjoyed the house and North Shore. I guess summers can be hot! we never wanted AC so the house could be open air. If you open all windows upper and lower and turn on fans It usually works for us as the trades can blow in day and night.. Sincerely, Connie

Nice property and location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed everything about our stay except for the fact that there is no AC in the house. It was extremely hot the day that we arrived and stayed very warm during the day. At evening, it was tolerable with fans on & windows open. The owners were responsive and helpful but will not be back due to no AC. When I mentioned it to the owner she said she didn’t realize that I didn’t know about no air but how would I know if it’s not in the listing nor anywhere in the welcome emails received by the owner.

Owner's Response: FYI, We chose not to have AC as we do not like AC. We love the open air way about our house and the flow from inside to outside. In summer it can get hot, so suggest you go other times of the year when not so hot. We believe AC would ruin the ambiance of the setting and the indoor outdoor flow. It would be a shame to keep the house closed up just for AC. Hotels are probably a better option for you if one wants a closed in environment with AC. I don't think we advertise that we have AC in any of the information. Sincerely, Owners, Connie & Dodge Irwin

Perfect Get Away from the Hustle and Bustle- June 2018

  • 5 of 5

Connie and Dodge, Thank you so much for opening up your house to us and your spectacular views. We cannot say enough about this house and its location. We loved how your house sits further out then anyones with unobstructed views of the beach, mountain and of course the ocean. LOVE the Sunsets! So peaceful and hidden, no street noise. We celebrated our youngest daughter graduating high school, our oldest graduating from college and our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better spot to just relax and enjoy everything. There were 6 of us total with my brother and sister in law and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Can't say enough about Sabrina, she is the best and so helpful with everything. Very pleasant and quick to reply to questions and inquiries. Our first afternoon, I emailed her to let her know we were missing a coffee pot and the spare bedroom fan wasn't working. Fifteen minutes later she called and asked if it was ok if she could drop them off after she picks them up at store.

The 8 days we were there, was like having a private beach. We maybe had one day that had 10 other people on Sunset beach the same time we were, otherwise just a handful. Waves were awesome and the sand perfect. Walked the path down to Sharks Cove, 7 of the 9 days to get our daily snorkel fix. Saw tons of different fish and some sea turtles. Proximity to Food Land and the Food Trucks was very convenient, even walked it a few times.

When the time comes to head back to the North Shore will definitely be staying here again. I think 30th Anniversary sounds awesome!

Had a wonderful time in this fantastic house

  • 5 of 5

The house is just beautiful, inside and out it just oozes beach shack/hamptons vibe. From the deck with it's lounge chairs, dining table and bbq grill that look out over the ocean, the well equipped kitchen, bathrooms stocked with everthing, comfy beds, music, candles to the swing inside!!! Location is perfect as well. Would come back for sure. Sabrina is fantastic too, made sure everthing was okay from start to finish of our stay, thank you.

TRANQUIL AND PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

The kindest host, makes you feel like ohana.

The home is lovely and comfortable, the vibe and flow, view and location are amazing.

The home sits in front of a reef, so to get to the beach it's about a half block walk. To sharks cove snorkeling, about the same distance the other direction. Food trucks and market are an easy 5 minute stroll.

I can't say enough about how great this place is. It's not luxurious, though it's perfect.

Ke IKI, Sunset, Sharks Cove, Three Tables

North Shore Oahu, Hawaii - near Sunset Beach and Haleiwa Town. North Shore is an amazing shore - certainly one of the most stunning and interesting, and no high rises- very much like old Hawaii, this beautiful, 3 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front home overlooks the ocean at the end of sandy Ke Iki Beach which flows into Sunset Beach (home of pipeline, a short stroll down the beach). Very privately located on the water with no road noise from Ke Iki Road, this spectacular spot sits out further than most homes on the North Shore with near panoramic water and sunset views, A short stroll or bike ride to Sharks Cove, Three Tables, Pipeline and beautiful Waimea Bay & Waimea Canyon for Yoga, fresh pond and waterfall swim, and farmers market!

Rent bikes from next door neighbor and keep for the entire stay.

This lovely home has spectacular water views from the lanai, kitchen, dining, and living rooms as well as the master bedroom. The beautiful front Lanai overlooking the ocean is wonderful for dining or entertaining as clouds drift over, and the sun melts into the water at sunset. The vantage of the home and the deep water off the reef offers an unbelievable whale watching and Spinner Dolphin experience during migratory months- November through April. Stroll the beaches, and tide pools. There is a wonderful bike path the full of Sunset Beach and stretches further to Sharks Cove, Three Tables, and Waimea Bay. Dive and snorkel in the crystal clear waters off one of the most beautiful reefs right in front of the home and be sure to see your favorite sea-life. The best surfing in the world is right down the beach. Mosey on down to watch the world-class pros at Pipe Line and many other surf breaks.

Close to the historic Haliewa Town, the Polynesian Culture Center, and Waimea Valley Falls and canyon where 5,000 Hawaiians use to live .

This charming home sleeps up to six people. There are three bedrooms, two with a comfortable queen beds and a third with two comfortable singles. There is also a full futon/couch in the entry room and another full futon/couch in the living room. Great Lanai furniture as well!

Supermarket, coffee shop, the Pupukea and Sharks Cove food trucks with outdoor eating are a short walk away. The home has laundry facilities, outdoor shower, wireless internet, TV, DVD player, a small stereo with a dock for and Ipod or Iphone, towels and beach towels. There are also two hair dryers. There is, on many occasions, some snorkel gear, fins, boogie boards, reef shoes, beach chairs and umbrellas stored under the house for guests to use.

This is the owner's home where they live; it should be respected as a home. The owners have taken great care in decorating and caring for this special beach house. It is not just another rental; It is very quaint and charming with remodeled kitchen, new front and back lanai/decks, and landscaped front and back lawns with the ever important palm trees swaying to and fro.

Swim, play, body surf or boogie board in the 'smaller' shore break just in front of the house in summer, spring and fall! In winter when surf is up, watch the surfers from the Lanai, or Waimea Bay or further down the beach at Pipe or the many surf breaks!

Great rentals across the street for snorkel gear, surf boards and paddle boards; also for rent in Haleiwa town near the bridge! Bikes are great to have there due to the fabulous bike path; rent from neighbor to left or across the street.

Amazing Surfing Experience whether child, beginner or experienced from Tamayo and Emilia Perry pro surfers: 808-497-7109. I highly recommend them. They are local pros and all about safety and an amazing experience!

Have an outstanding private chef for that special occasion or for the entire stay:Chef, John Seymore: 808-349-0928. We highly recommend John - many a memorable evening on the Lanai with his delicious dining experience- all local!

Go golfing at Turtle Bay or for a cocktail at Sunset by the pool at turtle bay and watch the long board surfers there.
