About Sandra

We love the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and enjoy the many waterfalls and beautiful vistas.

Why Sandra chose Brevard

We choose this area because we have a daughter in the area, and we love the mountains/streams/waterfalls. There is so much natural beauty and we never get tired of enjoying it.

Notes:
The cottage we want to share with you is full of nostalgia: hardwood floors, knotty pine walls, and a tasteful mixture of antique and new furniture. A gas fireplace made of creek rock and a cozy reading nook make the lodge decorated living room a great retreat. One king and one queen, and the twin daybed (with pull-out trundle) have new comfortable mattresses. The well-stocked kitchen is a pleasant & easy place for cooking. We also have many family games, books and movies for your enjoyment. We want you to have a vacation full of wonderful memories that you will remember for years to come! Please read the reviews from over 100 previous happy renters!!

Cozy Romantic Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Creekside Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! We loved how private...clean and cozy everything was! Perfect kitchen for cooking breakfast and some suppers...enjoyed watching Netflix movies on big screen tv...especially our 1st day there it rained all day...so we stayed in all day and enjoyed chili, snacks & movies. After the rain finally cleared away, Sandra the owner texted me and told us about an especially beautiful(due to all the rainfall we received that day) waterfall for us to go and look at that was only 1/4 mile from the cottage. We finally got out of our p.j.'s (1st time in 40 years of marriage we've stayed in p.j.'s all day!) and headed for the waterfall. It was amazing & beautiful!! We took day trips on the rest of our time there over to Brevard and Hendersonville to shop downtown..then 1 day over to Maggie Valley and Waynesville...and chose to stay around the cottage on our last day there. With it being so cool....We built a fire one night at firepit beside creek and grilled steaks for supper and sipped hot chocolate afterwards enjoyed being outside....such a beautiful yard! Also, we enjoyed having a 2 bathrooms with shower and loved the whirlpool tub!! Also, the king bed was very comfortable! Also, enjoyed the gas fireplace...it really heated everything up so quick and made everything so cozy! We also drove just down the road to the little cafe called the Red Lion Inn for lunch. We felt like we had stepped back into the 50's when we entered! We sat outside by creek and had a delicious bar-b--que pork sandwich and fries and sweet tea. We were the only ones there at the time and got our own private song played and sung to us! It was truly a memory we will never forget!

Can't think of anything we didn't enjoy about this wonderful little cottage and the days we spent here. We hope to return again soon! Thank you

Great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year for a girls getaway. We love how close the waterfalls are. We enjoyed crisp mornings on the porch listening to the creek. Fully stocked kitchen made meal times a breeze. It was a blast catching trout in the pond. Beautiful, quaint, and rustic. This cottage feels like stepping right into a painting. Can't wait to go back next year!

Perfect privacy

  • 5 of 5

Large stream runs around two sides of open grass area in front of cottage. Very comfortable furniture and excellent tv channel selection including netflex. The house has all needed amenities and all appliances work. Our only complaint was the old, outdated grill which the owner immediately replaced with a new one! Feeding the trout in the pond each day was fun while walking the grounds. Our whole experience for the week was great!

Cozy & quaint cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a very lovely long weekend getaway at Creekside Cottage. The home fits the 4 "C's". It is very cozy, charming, comfortable and clean. It is an older cottage with all kinds of charming nooks and character. I particularly enjoyed their reading nook! The property is beautiful and very peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed sitting outside near the creek. The rushing water is very relaxing and peaceful. My kids loved exploring the property and the creek. There is also an awesome stocked trout pond that we were able to catch lots of fish in! We did some catch and release as well as kept some to eat for dinner. My kids loved that we were actually able to catch fish pretty easily. There is an awesome swing near the water that my husband and I were able to sit in and talk and relax together. For the most part we just stayed at the cottage and relaxed together as a family since that was our goal. However, There is a nice waterfall very close to the cottage that we were able to visit as a family. My kids loved this outing too. My eight-year-old son has decided that we need to save our money and buy their property because he loved it so much ! 😊

It was a pleasure working with Sandra as well. Any issues or questions we had were answered and handled quickly.

I recommend this property to anyone looking to get away for a peaceful vacation. It is especially great for nature lovers. There are many birdfeeders and the property has lots of wonderful nature components.

Great Vacation

We loved the cottage and surrounding area. Clean and cozy. Our dog, Kona, loved chasing balls in the meadow. Enjoyed the waterfalls and visiting the apple orchard in Hendersonville. Hope to return.
