Attractive, completely furnished, two bedroom, two bath house bordering the Centro area of San Miguel. From its location in the San Antonio district it is an easy (5 min.) walk to the Instituto Allende (Art and Language School), and a 10-13 minute walk to the Jardin (center of town). It is a easy, level walk to the Warren-Hardy Language School.
The house is located in a neighborhood containing both Mexican families and foreign residents. It is a safe area and close to a produce and flower market. (I will be happy to provide directions to the closest grocery shopping!) In this casa you will get a taste of everyday Mexican culture, yet be within walking distance of the primary sights and events that San Miguel has to offer.
You will have panoramic 360 degree views of the city and surrounding mountains from the roof terrace and second-floor patio. Living room with cable TV, gas heat, full kitchen, office alcove, telephone, and high speed internet hookup. Once a week maid service provided with rental, more often if you wish to arrange this with the maid. Rentals include utilities, excepting phone beyond basic monthly local service, and any usage beyond the first tank of gas (usually free for all but long-term rentals).
You have seen that our prices are among the lowest on this website. We would rather have happy renters than hold out for a higher price.
Casa de Amistad is a great property, very clean, nicely decorated with lovely balcony and great terraza to enjoy and overlook the city and the great views !!!
The location is pretty convenient to avoid the noise from people at night. Quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the downtown,

Casa Amistad has everything you need to feel at home ( we did ), comfortable and excellent support from Flor and Tina

hope to be back to casa amistad very soon again.
My friend and I have just returned from a two week holiday in San Miguel. Her daughter asked us to pick our favorite day and we told her that would be difficult because there was something special about every day. There is so much to see and do in San Miguel and our accommodation was perfectly situated to be able to walk to just about everything we did. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped with all the comforts of home. We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace where we usually started and ended the day. The kitchen had everything we needed and grocery stores and markets were close by.
A taxi or bus is very affordable if the distance to far to walk. We took a bus to the weekly Tuesday market and a taxi to the Equinox celebration which involved a beautiful concert where everyone sits on the rocks over looking the stage. It was quite spectacular! Another day we signed up for a historical walking tour which was both informative and interesting. There also wonderful restaurants throughout San Miguel.
Thank you to Flor for always being available whenever we had a question and thank you to Tina for providing us with such a pleasant home away from home. Terry and Myrna
The house was very nicely decorated and furnished. It has a total of five floors with a few steps in between each level so you did get your work out going up and down. The two separate balconies were wonderful that overlooked the city and great views. It was longer to walk to the Jardin than we had thought and depending on the way you went the steepness of the streets varied. We choose to go a bit farther in order to avoid the very steep street. The distance from the jardin probably saved us from hearing the noise from the church bells and the people at night. We had been advised by two people to never walk at night especially since there were 4 of us ladies but to take a cab which only cost us $50 for the four of us. We fully used the kitchen and really enjoyed resting in the middle of the day. We definitely walked allot and saw allot of the city on foot as had been recommended. There were lots of restaurants, bars and a few small stores near by so it was conveniently located. I would recommend this to others but advise that you need to be in good physical shape because there are allot of steps in the house as well as in the streets and bring your walking shoes.
The property was beautiful and well maintained. If any problem occurred there was someone to fix it right away. The area is close to the main center of town (an easy 10 minute walk). The neighbors are helpful and friendly. I was so nice to be able to go out on two different decks to view the surrounding area and enjoy the day. My overall experience was wonderful. The owner was quickly available and very friendly.
We stayed as two couples and found Casa Amistad to be beautifully decorated with a great kitchen and two lovely terrazas that gave spectacular views. The jardin was in easy walking distance as were restaurants and shops. I really liked the local "corner store" as well. Flor was attentive, easy to reach and had a great balance of helping and giving lots of space. It was just a wonderful place to stay and hope to do so again.
Casa de Amistad was very nice, very clean, easy walking distance to the Jardin, Instituto, and some nice restaurants and shops. The view from the rooftop deck is lovely, the wifii worked well, and the house manager Flor was very helpful. I highly recommend Casa de Amistad.
