Luxury, 4 bedrooms with their bathroom, private pool, 360 ° views, charming decor

Our Provencal farmhouse of 1778 was renovated in 2017. It has kept all its authenticity but also offers all modern comforts, with high-end finishes. It has 4 bedrooms each with its bathroom, furnished and decorated with great taste. There are 2 bedrooms with a 160cm bed, a bedroom with a 180cm bed and a fourth bedroom with 4 single beds, 2 of them on the mezzanine (it can be converted into a bedroom for a couple).

The house is surrounded by several shaded or sunny terraces with garden furniture. Its inner courtyard can be closed so that children can play safely. In the garden is the 9.5m by 4.5m swimming pool surrounded by olive trees. It can be closed by a shutter. The house is heated and refreshed by geothermal energy. There is wifi and internet everywhere, even outside. Three adjoining lounges with two fireplaces and a piano. The kitchen is fully equipped, with large cooker, American fridge with ice cubes, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso machine, etc. In the laundry room there is a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

The Mas du Grand Bausset is located in the natural park of Luberon, at the end of a valley in the greatest calm but only 1.6 km from the perched village of Ménerbes. Ménerbes ranks among the "most beautiful villages of France". The situation lends itself to many beautiful walks or bike rides (four bikes are available). A short drive away is Gordes, the most famous perched village, Isle-sur-Sorgue and its antiques, Roussillon and its ochres. Other excursions to Avignon, Saint-Rémy de Provence and the Alpilles, Arles, Nîmes, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and the Côte d'Azur, or Mont Ventoux, are quite feasible during the day.

  • We have another small room in the courtyard above the bread oven. This is not counted for the calculation of beds because it does not have a bathroom or heating or airco, and because the house is also sized for 10 (eg table size) ). Ménerbes is a medieval village perched on a hill. It is listed among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France". It is a charming and authentic village. Not without importance, the village hosts two excellent bakeries. In the surroundings you will find the other perched villages most known of Provence: Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon, Goult, Lacoste, Oppède-le-Vieux. In summer you can attend high-level classical music concerts, outdoor film screenings and antique and flea markets. Most villages host a farmers' market every week, with plenty of organic produce from the region. The largest market is held on Sunday morning in Coustellet, 10 km from our farmhouse - do not miss the day after your arrival! Our supermarket is also in Coustellet.

Among the places to visit absolutely we recommend the Senanque Abbey and the village of bories near Gordes, and the Ocher promenade in Roussillon. A 20 km drive you will be in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the village of famous antique dealers. Wine lovers can visit the cellars on the Wine Route.

The Luberon is the valley between the Monts de Vaucluse in the north and the Luberon hills to the south. Most of the valley is a protected natural park, guaranteeing you peace and tranquility and splendid panoramas. On the other side of the hills is the wonderful village of Lourmarin, a half-hour drive away, with its Provencal castle. If you want to visit other parts of Provence, you can reach Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the Alpilles, Avignon, Arles and Aix-en-Provence in less than an hour. Or you can spend a day at the sea (1h30 drive) or Marseille (a good hour drive).

From our farmhouse you can access hiking trails, or you drive to the Cedar Forest on the crest. You can take wonderful bike rides along winding roads or on the old railway track in the valley. We put you 4 bikes available. Of course, we have a pool, and there is a tennis club (compulsory membership) not far from here. Golf enthusiasts will meet at Golf de Saumane, 20 km away.
