What makes this house unique

This house will remind you of your grandmother's house, and when you stay here, you will not have a care in the world. At 'The Flarity House,' there is always a gentle breeze and clean air. The huge trees in the yard cast a comfortable shadow on the front porch. This house has more native shrubs, trees, and flowers in the yard than any house on Lookout Mountain. There are numerous outdoor recreation opportunities in the area; including, the lake with fish in the back yard.

Nice little farmhouse in quiet location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to all the places we visited and a nice quiet place where our small children could play without any worries. We hope to come back.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 4 of 5

The property reminded me of my childhood in an older home. It was very relaxing, since my wife and I had nothing to do, and we just wanted a weekend away together. Apparently, the home had been closed for a while, as there was a musty odor inside until we got the fan and A/C going. The odor went away after a while. Other than that, it was a nice getaway. The pond had a very large Turtle in it, and a 6 foot water moccasin swimming, so I didn't fish very long. Our small dogs enjoyed exploring the acreage.

Very quiet and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at this property and once again I loved it. The house feels like a home, like I am visiting my relatives. The owner is very nice and accommodating. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is the place! I really enjoyed burning fires in the woodstove in the evening. Just be sure to buy your groceries before you get to the property because there are not a lot of stores nearby. Mentone is only about 15-20 minutes away and there are a number of little cafes to visit. The state park and the waterfalls are phenomenal!!!

Love this Farm House!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to this lovely farm house for a much needed girls weekend! This place is adorable, warm and inviting, all the comforts of home. Our hosts were more than accommodating and available for any questions that we might have. Nice location to hiking trails!

LOVED THIS PLACE!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a good time at the farmhouse. We were specifically looking for a place that would allow us to bring our fur baby. Ferne's Farmhouse was perfect as it has acreage, a pond, and lots of trees and bushes for our sweet pup to sniff and point to her heart's content. The house itself was very comfortable, homey and well stocked with all the necessities--and more. It was also affordable and Ferne was very accommodating to our needs. Her husband even called to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. It was a relaxing 3 nights and a great way to see the sites but not be in hub-bub of town, but close enough to run too, if we so desired. Would definitely stay at Ferne's Farmhouse Retreat again!
