Picture perfect cottage and grounds located in the gateway to the Loire Valley.
The cottage was exactly as described and suited us perfectly for a week of exploring the Loire Valley and tasting the local food and wine. Renaud was an an amazing host and his tips for restaurants, markets and local produce ensured we got to fully experience everything Loire had to offer.
A beautiful place to relax and unwind
We stayed a week in one of the one bedroom self catering cottages. We had a wonderful time and where well looked after by our hosts. The cottage had everything we needed and made a perfect base for exploring the area. The Manor and grounds are stunning and very peaceful. We shall return.
Beautiful property in gorgeous grounds
Beautiful property in stunning grounds. The property is furnished to a very high standard and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The terrace area beside the manoir is gorgeous and a wonderful place to enjoy an evening drink either alone or with the company of other guests and the very welcoming host. I would highly recommend this property, it is located in a tranquil area yet close enough to loads of places to visit an eat. The use of complementary bikes was very enjoyable as was using the very well kept and maintained pool. We hope to visit here again soon.
Stay in a gite attached to a French manor.
The gites available are varied in size and delightful. The Manoir itself is400 years old and stunningly beautiful. Two of the cottages are in the Manoir itself and two are in the converted stables. The huge estate gardens are stunningly laid out in the French tradition by the owner who is a landscape architect and it is an ongoing project. The other owner of the partnership is an architect and you can see his influence in the decor. Both owners are friendly and helpful and willing to help make their guests as comfortable as possible. A truly enjoyable location with plenty of sites to visit in the surrounding areas. An easy bike ride to the Loire, the gite has bicycles available for use.
Thank you Graham and see you soon in Chicago!
The perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries.
It is not often that you can stay in a 16th century Manor house, restored carefully to keep its character but modernised just enough for your creature comforts. Then put this house into an Italian Renaissance garden, with views across the Loire Valley, and you have a perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries.
Situated close to Angers, it provides a base from which the western, and lesser known, part of the Loire Valley can be explored, by car, cycle, or walking.
We had a great holiday, rain and sun-shine, with the owner, M. Paque, making us feel “at home”.
We must go there again!
Thank you some much Peter. It is a pleasure to read your precious words. We want to see you bkack!
Nice cosy cottage with a view out the door of a 16th century beautiful manoir. Wonderful gardens to wander around and we were even able to enjoy the swimming pool after a day of touring. Renaud was very helpful and welcoming and we'd love to make a return visit.
